This is a good idea.
To listen to music while you do things like that.

The best music to use is video game music.
Because it was made to keep you engaged.

I often listen to this: Game Music Radio: Playing only the best gaming tunes 24 hours a day - RPGamers Network
It plays a wide assortment of music from different games and it's just really cool music.

[headdesk] well, it was closer this time but still a fail. What am I doing wrong? I followed the recipe. Did I take it out too early? The wasted ingredients. [headdesk]

Kay 03-23-2015 02:56 AM

I don't know if I want to try the recipe again. All the ingredients it takes.

Kenome-Chan 03-23-2015 03:32 AM

Lavi,
I think you'd like the link I left then.
It's rare that the music played there has lyrics.

TejinaShinsen 03-23-2015 03:38 AM

I'll stick with my lyrics in my music. Though I listen to Radio Riel's steampunk station. I really can't stand pop music.

Amane 03-23-2015 03:40 AM

Pop music is my life. *coughK-popcough* *but American pop's great too* *and techno/rub-a-dub-dubstep/trance/what-have-ya'* *as long as it makes me want to sing/dance or gives me pretty mental images* *I can't believe how I typed this post*

TejinaShinsen 03-23-2015 03:45 AM

Yeah I should have elaborated. American pop is meh to me. But then again I grew up on classic rock in the 80's as well as country. Now if I listen to pop music it's usually J-pop and K-pop.

Mostly it's Steampunk or alternative rock with some Christian pop mixed in.

Amane 03-23-2015 03:46 AM

I can't stand rock or country. Especially country. I wish I liked J-rock, but I can't. *sadfais*

TejinaShinsen 03-23-2015 03:50 AM

Country was the only station that came in clear when I was growing up at my house.

Got into rock when I was in Atlanta.

I've always been into Japanese culture though. Studied it since I was about 7. My school had a sister school in Japan and I had a chance to go, but caught chicken pox just days before we were supposed to go. That sucked so much!

Amane 03-23-2015 03:55 AM

Japanese music makes me nostalgic because there was so much Japanese in the house when I was little. Because of anime, mostly. It always has a sound about it that reminds me of the songs I'd hear back then, and then I get sad.
Other than that, we listened to a lot of rap we shouldn't have been listening to, but in turn, I have a great tolerance for and appreciation of rap. I have an okay-ish amount of knowledge about 70s music because of the parents.

TejinaShinsen 03-23-2015 04:03 AM

I really didn't watch too much anime. Unless there's mecha or it's a period piece (Or pseudo period I did enjoy FMA though LOVE Kenshin more) I read some manga as well, but I don't read as much as I want to.

I couldn't get into rap at all. There are a few artists that I like but on a whole I don't care for the style.

on the subject of music tastes and nostalgia I'd say classic rock is my safe place I had a lot of that around me growing up like queen Pink Floyd and Beatles. Now I listen to more metal unless I'm working then it's epic scores and chillstep to relax xD

Amane would laugh. Chillstep auto corrected to cholesterol

LiviInLove 03-23-2015 04:11 AM

My sister stayed way longer than I thought. [lol] But it was so awesome to get to visit with her! :D

I could get down with some cholesterol.

Sailor Moon. In all its forms. EVERYWHERE in my house. To name just one.

SWEET

LiviInLove 03-23-2015 04:32 AM

My sister gave me this BEAUTIFUL painting that she did of me and my twin with the words around us saying 'He will never be forgotten. He was loved. He is still very much loved and he is with you always' for my birthday... I broke down crying. Sweetest thing anyone's ever given me. <33 I love it. [love]

Amane 03-23-2015 04:34 AM

In today's news, Pepe by CLC is the greatest song ever.

Citrus Hammer 03-23-2015 05:48 AM

I don't feel good x_x

I'm hoping it's not because of silly anxiety

---------- Post added 03-23-2015 at 01:51 AM ----------

It seems like whenever I have to do something, like the jury duty I have coming up, I get ever so slightly stressed out about it. Said stress can linger for days until the thing in question is happening/is done. I don't know if it's an actual anxiety type deal or what.

/nods
You are experiencing anxiety.
It's like your having a mini panic attack about the situation.
Then when the situation is over your body is like "Well that wasn't so bad LOL" and it goes back to normal.

/I experience it all the time

Sleepy Anarchy 03-23-2015 06:04 AM

Who am I teaching bad things to now?

Kenome-Chan 03-23-2015 06:06 AM

Hummy is learning from you.
In what way?
I have no clue.

Sleepy Anarchy 03-23-2015 06:07 AM

A terrible thing, really.

Kenome-Chan 03-23-2015 06:23 AM

It could be.
I think..

Sleepy Anarchy 03-23-2015 06:30 AM

It most definitely is.
