Same here! I don't *hate* kids... but the list of reasons for me not to have them is endless... Biggest reason is that there are so many kids who need homes already, why add to the population problem?

I have so, so many reasons that come back to myself rather than the good of the world.

Adoption... if it wasn't so darn expensive in the first place, there might not be so many kids that need homes. D;

I know my brother and his wife are looking into adoption.

We would adopt, it's the dang paperwork and $$$ upfront. Ugh. They make the kids stay stuck in the sytem til they are old enough to be "on their own." Bureaucracy at it's worst.

Blah. I think I might just buy a new computer and wait to buy a new ipod till the next gen ipod comes out.

Adoption comes with tax breaks, too.
My aunt adopted 4 of her kids from Russia. I love them all so much!!

Yeah, it's the money that's stopping my brother. They really want more kids, but his wife can't have any more kids. :(

I thougth Russia didn't want........... wait roxxxy.... you might not live in USA. I thought there was something about russia not wanting usa to adopt any more of their kids because of one case that was debated and stuff... it's all silly. Not about the countries, about the lives but yea...

CHINA ADOPTION IS EXPENSIVE.

It really is. :( We're considering trying to chip in to try to help them, if that's the route they want to go. We'll see. We're hoping that they'll be able to find another way. They're great parents, and they do may sweet little nephew. ^_^

The last of them was adopted about 8 years ago.

Phew, it's rough when you want to help and you really want to give kids a happy childhood. No kid should have to grow up in a home... even foster care. We thought about that but I know that I'd want to adopt all the kids we fostered because how can you NOT bond with them?
