sure you might hate how people use it but it is an actual word. That's like hating words in english. Just because you hate it doesn't mean that it's not a real word that conveys real feelings.

Nah, I can see why she doesn't like it. There are people out there who get on your case for sayin' stuff like "kawaii" or "senpai" when you're not Japanese. The reasoning comes down to social justice things.

People raged about that Hello Kitty song for that reason. I'm like, what were you people DOING when you were twelve?

Which hello kitty song? I don't conform to society and thus I miss out on when certain things are popular and when they re not XD It's like people saying "ciao" in all honesty. If you are not Italian, living in Italy, then why are you saying it? We all live on one earth, why not be a little more open? That's just me though.

I don't think kawaii isn't a real word, I just don't like its overuse. :(

There are SO MANY words where I just don't like them. They aren't always profanities. They don't always mean something inappropriate. I just DON'T like them and refuse to use them no matter what.
