Asl long as its not ice cream cake I will eat just about any type of cake
(if there is booze in it too that would be awesome) LivInLove: Thank you ^-^ |
Alice: You're welcome. :]
|
Haha, it's the love in the tea that makes you drink it [rofl] Some people cannot replicate recipes [lol] |
LivInLove At least he tries!
|
haha, yeah, that's what counts! [lol] |
Happy Birthday Dance....
|
Chi: Yes, it is indeed the love that's put into trying to make it that makes me drink it. <3
Alice: Haha, indeed he does try! I'm a Brit, I'm picky about my tea. LOL! The only people who can get it right --- well that's down to one other person now other than myself - that person is my mum. My nan, may she rest in peace, was the other one. [yes] |
I wish I liked tea, maybe there is one out there for me. It's just all the ones I've had were bitter [cry] |
Ravensdance: [lol][lol] OMG THAT JUST MADE MY BIRTHDAY!!!
LivInLove:.... I now feel for your husband [lol] I grew up with a grandmother who is picky about her tea Chikyu: You been over steeping it! The more you let it sit with the tea bag in the more bitter it will be! |
My British friend posted me some tea recently.
I have the Yorkshire brand and PG Tips, I think? I tried the latter today and it was amazing. Apparently, tea tasted different when you make it in the microwave versus boiling it in a kettle? My friend says microwave tea tastes like radiation. :o All hot water tastes the same to me! |
lol, with you on that one Ava! Hot water is hot water to me [lol] I'd have to have a really seet tea [yes] |
I LOVE PG TIPS!!! [love] Yes!! <33 I need to get my aunts to send me some more soon! [lol] I'm running dangerously low!!
Chi: I agree with Alice, don't seep the bags for so long! [yes] ^_^ Alice: Haha, yeah - he's learned that most of the time, let me make my own - but Becca was DETERMINED to make her mumma some tea to makes her feels better, so I put up with it being not quite right. |
Why someone would just microwave it is insane, nothing really tastes good when microwaved. Not at all! Like I don't mind using it for left overs but still I rather have it cooked fresh!
LivInLove: awe that a cutie right there! |
I know, I only microwave chicken nuggets and pizza rolls when I'm too hungry to wait for them to toast |
Tea must be made with hot water from a kettle, never put in the microwave!! [yes]
Alice: She is a cutie, she's taken over the 'mum' role this week - and I have no energy to fight it. Plus it's just precious. |
I really like PG Tips! Really yummy! I had to miss out on adding milk however, (I boiled the water and poured it over the tea bag just as I realized I was out of milk!) so it probably was nowhere near as delicious as it normally is, :(
I get lazy, okay?! To me the hot water all tastes the same anyway, but apparently I don't know what radiation tastes like. XD I prefer cooking things too, I don't use the microwave for anything but leftovers, if that. My parents always preferred to use the oven to reheat food so I usually do the same, depending on what it is. The microwave tends to make my food soggy so oven it is! |
Thanks for the tip, Livi! :O |
I don't own a kettle. :(
I usually just use a pot. Have you guys seen that post on Tumblr about World War Tea? |
Okays as sad as this sounds, Im pooped so im off to bed, so I can have energy for tomorrow and its epicness of awesome fun time! Night all thank you again for the birthday wishes! And you all have an awesome weekend!!! *hugs everyone*

I saw this in my dash and the original post was about McDonald's and their gallon of sweet tea. Someone said, "Why is the tea already liquid?" And it just went to hell from there! I lold at that much harder than normal, I suppose. |
Chi: You're welcome!
Ava: Awww!! :( Yes, get milk. Milk is necessary! *tea snob here!* [lol] I can understand being lazy. I'm just a tea snob. XD My hubby was laughing at me when we were in England a few years back, as I Was in tea heaven the whole time we were there. [lmao] ---------- Post added 04-17-2015 at 08:30 PM ---------- [lmao] Omgosh!! That's bloody hilarious! I love it! I do have to agree, most Americans can't make tea properly... [lol] Like my hubby... I love him, but despite me giving him proper tea making lessons, he still doesn't get it. :P |
It was so tragic when I realized I had no milk for my tea! Whenever I drink black tea I always add milk. It was like.., cake without the icing. Still good, but disappointing. :(
I normally don't drink black tea, I'm more of a Jasmine and Green tea fan myself. I used to drink Darjeeling, but I never added milk to that. Sleep well, Alice! |
You'll just have to try again, when you have milk. [yes] It must be a thing that happens for sure! I've been known to cry about hot having milk for tea - but in my defense, it was when I was pregnant, and I would cry at the drop of a hat over things that really weren't a problem. [lol]
Sweet dreams, Alice! |
Honestly, I do think black tea tastes better with milk. I mean, it just does. I would be sad if I got toast with no butter. Or macaroni with no cheese!
I used to drink a lot of tea. I loved Rooibos Teas and various exotic teas. Yet, I've never had real British tea until my friend sent me some! It was very good, makes me want to re-explore the world of tea again! There's this place here that sells tea called Teavana and I absolutely love going there. The smells are amazing and the tea is natural. Then I also indulge in bubble tea, which, probably doesn't even count as actual tea lol. Tea is lovely. I think America is just so used to coffee that they don't care about tea so much. |
It does taste better with milk, totally won't find me disagreeing there!! [yes]
I've heard about Teavana - it makes me want to go and see if I can find one near me to go and check it out!! I must go and see if it's amazing as everyone says it is. True, I just grew up with a British mum - so I was welcomed in the world of proper tea from a young age. [yes] |
