Oh, no, no, don't worry. I don't see EVERY post I make as filler. I haven't made a filler post on this site at least in a while. Where'd that other post go?

All this talk I'm doing about filler posts lately probably has people thinking something happened. But, nah. Just decided the term needs more color.
Eliminating them completely is an ongoing struggle, though. x_x
*cough* Hyde is a K-pop song. I used a line from it in the first post on the previous page (acknowledging that this post will start a new page).
OMG There are SOOOO many!! Just like other kinds of music, there are different types. It's hard to give you one example of Kpop and let that detemine whether you like it.
This one is poppy and super catchy.
What kind of music do you like? Pop, rock, cutey? Prefer guy or girl groups? Bands over groups?
A J-pop fan? What songs are like J-pop, Aya? "Glass Bead" by GFriend? "Catallena" by Orange Caramel? Or even Laboum? And WHAT WAS THAT ONE GROUP THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE B1A4'S SISTER GROUP THAT DID THE CUPID SHOT MY HEART SONG? I'm thinkin' precious girl group concepts here. I've seen, like, one J-pop video in my life 'cause someone else was asking about K-pop, and it was not my thang. It was super cutesy, and I can't do that.
And have you heard Shannon's song Why Why? 'Cause it's supes cute without overdoing it.
ADORE U! *collapses*
Me, I like some of errythang because it all depends on mental images. In general, if it's too cutesy or too slow, I won't like it. The latter kills my energy. The former gets annoying.
Dance jams are always a good way to go. Pretty Boy. Growl. Happiness. Ice Cream Cake. Fantastic Baby. BANG BANG BANG‼ I am the Best. AGGRESSIVELY I AM THE BEST.
The smooth make-you-wanna-sings. Ahh! Oop! Mr. Ambiguous. Basically, MAMAMOO's existence. Cleansing Cream. Be Natural. The Chaser. It's those dragged-out notes, man. Once I know it better, Lion Heart. I Love You. You Don't Love Me.
Linking K-pop on the basis of covering everything would be hundreds of videos. I mean, it's pop music. There's a lot of pop music with its own sound out there.
Yes, Glass Bead reminded me of Jpop when I first heard it. No, I would say Catallena is a very Kpop song, not Jpop. If any of their singles are like Jpop it would probably be Magic Girl? Pandora by KARA could easily be Jpop.
The majority of Kpop girls have a more mature feel, even if a group goes the cutesy route. They are still late teen/early woman. So a lot of Kpop girl groups I don't see as a Jpop style, for music style and MVs / appearance, etc.
The average age of Jpop idols is probably 16 or something? A lot of groups are all about being kawaii, some high pitched singers, crooked teeth, bathing suit MVs, school uniforms, member colors, etc. There aren't many successful well-known female groups in their 20s. Dream and E-Girls come to mind for that age range. I really love Tokyo Girls' Style, they might be in their late teens still, but they're very mature and beautiful singers.
I look up the day's date and watch pretty much any performance that interests me, so I can rattle off about plenty of groups based on their song and concept.
That's not to say that ALL jpop idols groups are that way, just a lot of the kawaii-driven ones and the indies.
I like Qu'elle, TsubasaFly, TGS, LUI◇FRONTiC, BiS, Faeries, Yumemiru Adolescence, Death Rabbits, nanoCUNE, PassCode, etc
The second girl in my siggy (on my main account lol) is the lead singer of Qu'elle, Manako:
Jpop has a lot of soloists, male and female. A lot of the female soloists are in their 20s or 30s. The ones that are younger are usually up-and-comers, or they do anime music. Guy groups are on-existent in jpop, aside from Arashi, EXILE, Johnny's Net (groups like Hey! Say! Jump!) and another group I can't remember the name of.
