Thanks, Inzane.
I was just being really unnecessarily emotional. I'm feeling much better now. c: I feel so much better. I feel more myself now. I'm not usually a really self-pitying kind of person. I usually am very happy and I like myself very much. I think it was just hormones making me so sad. :P |
I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better!
I, too, (like most people) have moments when taking the next breath seems so unnecessary...but something always comes along to change my thinking...Sometimes I just need a good night's rest! I hope ya have a Terrific Tuesday! |
I do not like it when sounds loop in my head. Not music. Just a sound.
|
I've had that happen to me before. :o
I think it happens normally when I hear one of my favorite musicians talking and then I get something they say stuck in my head, or something the interviewer says stuck in my head. The last thing I got stuck in my head was an interview with Soko and the interviewer was asking Soko about her shirt, then she said, "Oh, Soko, you have a hole in your shirt" and Soko says, "Oh, I know." So the interview pokes her finger through the hole and she's like, "OMG SOKO. You're NOT wearing a bra!!" And Soko laughs and she's like, "Nope!" And she moved the hole over to her chest and shows her nipple and the interviewer dies. So for the last two days I've had, "OMG SOKO. You're NOT wearing a bra!" Stuck in my head, and Soko's voice going, "I don't have any boobs, so I don't need to wear a bra." o____o; I get weird things stuck in my head! Anyway. I hope what you have stuck in your head is less weird, Amane! |
Don't worry. It's more on the annoying side than the weird side. No, it's definitely on the weird side. Weird and annoying, and it's making me paranoid, and I wish it would stop. You've caught one of my rants about the noise I hear when there's an outage, have you not?
I get K-pop idol quotes stuck in my head all the time. If the way something was said sounds weird to me, it gets stuck in my head. Sound effects? Stuck in my head all the time. |
I didn't know that there were outage noises! I thought when the power cuts out its just no sound at all. That's just what I thought.
But then I haven't had an outage in a long time. I like getting celebrity voices stuck in my head. Like, when Tom Hiddleston said, "How deep did the dick..." Yes, Tom. How deep did the dick? I am so pissed at myself. I have to take a new medication on top of the one I already take. D: I'm probably going to grow a third eye because of all of these chemicals going into my brain. Ugh! |
You haven't caught one of my rants?
Well, then, something in my kitchen makes a screechy noise when the power goes out or comes back on. We believe it's an alarm, but whatever it is, it's so old no one remembers. It's older than me. Yet it still has the strength to sound through the whole house and legitimately ruin me with paranoia. It's very hard to block out. Part of why I don't like storms. I do not like taking pills. It's not in my programming to swallow whole. |
Oh, I see. That makes sense.
That sounds scary! Is your house very old? I couldn't live in an old house because I get creeped out easily. Hopefully no one has ever died in your house! [shock] And hopefully the loud, screechy noise isn't a ghost trying to get your attention! D8 I hate pills too. I used to not be able to swallow them at all no matter how hard I've tried, but after years of taking daily medications, I've gotten the hang of it. I just thought I'd be able to finally come off my medications. But noooo, fate says I need to take MORE! |
Oh, no, no. Our house is only about forty years old. It was bought three years old, never lived in.
Oh, Ava. *smiles* Have you ever encountered a fire alarm that beeps when its battery is low, or something that beeps upon being plugged in? I figure whoever made this thing, whatever it is, thought it would never be problematic if it beeped super loudly upon being plugged in or unplugged. If it's a fire alarm, it must have something to do with telling you it's not working or you need to change the battery. Some Mene folks tell me they've encountered fire alarms that did the same thing, or even beeped at a constant interval while the power was out. The noise in my house used to do that. I am positive. I remember. It quit. Now, why won't it quit making that noise altogether, huh? Modern product durability, eat your heart out. My sisters' old apartment had a fire alarm that made a louder noise if the lights went out/came back on. Mother told me. If I encountered such a place, I'd move out. |
Oh! Yes, we have a fire alarm system thingy and when each little unit for the rooms is low on batteries it beeps. It's so low that I usually don't hear it, though. And then my mom has an alarm clock from the 80s that beeps every time she sets it.
Forty years old is an old house to me! I think when our power goes out so do the alarm systems. Haha, so if there's a fire while the power is out, then we're totally fuuuuu- n. |
Well, there are people living in houses over a hundred years old. Of the residential buildings I know, our house is fairly new.
I think the alarm people have gotten around that. Hence the need for batteries. Our newest fire alarm doesn't beep ever unless it needs batteries. And then we hear it through the whole house and we're like, ??? And then we remember. It's so loud. Omg. I scream and die. /I've seen a comedy scene on TV with that before /the alarm was angrily smashed to pieces [rofl] |
I, too, am a victim of things repeating themselves in my head....sometimes its a song, sometimes its just one word....sometimes it might be a name!
I think this was a direct result of having been terribly addicted to Tetris when it first came out. I played so much that when I went out, my mind would automatically want to flip building to make them fit together....thus the beginning of a selective obsessive disorder! Lol! We have a carbon monoxide detector that beeps when the power is restored after an outage....tis a welcome sound, to me, cuz it means that the power is back and the well pump will work again! |
I don't need that help to discover the power's back on. We have plenty of electronics with little lights on them to tell me that it's on. Also, momma has a tiny TV that has developed a habit of turning on when the lights come back on, even if it wasn't on before. The new microwave beeps when plugged in as well. This house is dear to me. It really is. But that noise is part of the reason I'm ruined with paranoia.
|
Beeping noises are weird!
I'd be so scared if my house started beeping when the power went out. I already freak out when I go to turn on a light and the light doesn't work... I can only imagine having my house BEEPING AND SCREAMING at me!! I have no idea what to use as a background for my avi... :/ ---------- Post added 06-05-2015 at 09:45 PM ---------- Woah. The animals are really noisy tonight! Lots of croaking and other strange sounds... Wow. It literally sounds like every animal and their mother is awake right now and they're all talking at the same time! |
The birds have taken to throwing a concert at the window behind my desktop just after the sun goes down.
|
Birds singing after the sun goes down? :O
|
For whatever reason! Right there at the window!
Enough of this. *starts singing The Wanted* The sun goes down, the stars come out~ |
I think having a hippie hangout is a capital idea.
May I suggest adding Yes to Carrots (or Tomatoes or what have you) products to your list of organic stuff? I use Yes to Carrots as a face cleanser. It has no harsh soaps in it and it uses carrot seed oil and aloe. You can find it in the natural food section. I mean, it's not with the food, but it's in the part of the aisle with non-food stuff. You know what I mean, right? lol |
Thanks, Sepia!
I didn't see one around already, so I thought, "Why not??" And I'm sure people are interested in living naturally and organically. :) Thanks for the suggestion, too! I added it and I actually just Googled "Yes To" and found their website and a ton of their amazing looking products! :O If I can find a store that sells some, I'll definitely try it out myself. 8D I currently just use witch hazel on my face. Have you heard of barefoot footwear? I bought a pair of barefoot shoes today and I'm trying them out. I usually go barefoot most places I go, (even to my local co-op!) but I need the protection, so these are like, miracle shoes for me. Lol. http://41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly...ra7o1_1280.jpg |
No problem. A former coworker told me about that stuff and I figured I'd give it a try. I love it. :)
I have heard of barefoot footwear, but have not tried them out. Some of my friends love them, others felt they were a waste of money. For right now, I am perfectly comfortable in my wonderful Birkenstock sandals. Birkenstock is love. Birkenstock is life. |
I love the name of those products! Yes To Tomatoes, Yes To Carrots, Yes to Cucumbers...
It sounds delicious. :) Yeah, I've heard the same two things with barefoot footwear. I like the idea of it, because I prefer to walk around barefoot rather than actually wearing shoes, so I like it. Buuuut, we'll see. [lol] Me being the curious one that I am, I just googled Birkenstock sandals and they are so cute. :) |
And they are comfortable and durable. You have no idea how many people think they are ugly shoes but darnit, my sandals are awesome!
These are miiiineee...: http://a3.zassets.com/images/z/2/7/8...-MULTIVIEW.jpg |
ASTROLOGY IS SO COOL OMG.
|
They look comfortable, Sepia. :D
Astrology?? Just a bunch of little dots in the sky?! I don't understand anything with a "logy" at the end of it. Except maybe, "Eating-yummy-foodology" or "Changing-clothesology" |
Astrology, as in zodiacs. Aries, Taurus, Gemini… "Hey, baby, what's your sign?" Those. That's a zodiac. The Western zodiac, anyway. Horse, monkey, goat, pig… That's the Chinese/Eastern zodiac.
