When you get the Macarana stuck in your head.
|
'EYYYY MACARENA!
When you get K-pop you know the words and dance to in your head at an inappropriate time. |
I have sung the Steven Universe theme song at work while cleaning
|
I love singing at work.
I like singing "Part of Your World" at work the best. The kids love it! |
Where do you work Ava?
I sing / hum a lot to myself. I can't quite do it too much or loud at work, I'm surrounded by ladies in cubicles [lol] |
I work at a daycare center. I work with toddlers and they are so fun to sing with!
But sometimes they tell me to shut up. [lol] Where do you work, Aya? Cubicle work seems so difficult to me! |
D'aw, cute little tots! I like kids and get along with them well, cause I'm patient.
But I don't know if I would want to work with them all the time! I work at a...well we do so many things it's hard to generalize *looks up website description* : "fulfillment specialist, data manager, direct marketer, viral marketer, consumer and enthusiast magazine publisher, book publisher, and printing company" (> w<) I work with Unilever Food Solutions, and other companies like the Small Business Association of Michigan, etc. I handle; system and user setup, excel documents of data (downloading, formatting, researching, validating, uploading, etc), as well as sample fulfillment, placing different types of orders, etc. A lot of different stuff that interconnects. I'm also the CSR for SLIMM, an internally created marketing tool. Within the office there are also odd jobs; I do incoming mail twice a week and outgoing mail (meter machine) once a week. Several us are trained to back-cover the front desk too. There are meetings, and I'm also an IT contact for my department. I love my job [heart] It's full time, benefits, only 8-10 minutes away. And the people I work with are nice. |
I have heard of Unilever. Seen a lot of their ads at the start of my Youtube videos. LOL. I miss working with kids. I would sing them the Steven Universe theme song.
|
Aya that sounds like a fun job! I'm so glad you like it. :)
I couldn't do cubicle work, I don't have the patience or attention span for it. Kids are fun aren't they, Kirin? I love playing with them! They're so sweet! |
I made the mistake once of telling a group of preschoolers that if the breathed on me to hard I'd bruise. Let's just say I had a group of six preschoolers breathing hard on me.
|
You should know telling children to not do something that they'll do the opposite.
|
OMG that is so true Cole [rofl] Yet so many times, adults do it anyways.
That and saying things like "Because I said so" - when you're younger and a parent or other adult says that, your young mind is like "WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!" And then what do you do when you're grown up? [lol] I've heard my sisters say that same phrase to my 4-yr-old niece. She has thing this about 'You're not my boss" so while I haven't tossed around the good ol' BISS, I have had to tell her now & then "Now Mimi said I'm the boss when we're together doing -insert fun activity-, so please listen" |
Aya, you're the boss? Of your niece?
Hahahaha. At least you're the boss of something. |
It was more that children take things literally.
|
Quote:
and her mimi (my mom), I don't know the story behind it [XP] Kirin: Yes, they do! Sorry, I replied directly to what Cole said. Sometimes it's endearing when they takes things literally. |
Yep. I had one of the other teachers look at me as if to say. 'What are they doing?' It was so funny.
|
One time we turned the lights off during lunch for the toddlers and they were scared because one kid kept telling the others that there was a monster at school, and I told them, "Monsters don't come to school." And they were calm, then we did it again once because they got too loud and the kid kept saying, "The monster's gonna get you!" And the teacher said,
"Yeah, the monster is going to come get YOU because you're being naughty!" :O I felt so bad for that poor kid, she was probably traumatized for life. |
Hard to say.
|
Monsters come after monsters, of course.
|
But monsters don't come to school. C:
Monsters have their own monster classes they go to at night while the kids are sleeping so during the day when they go to school the monsters are gone. [yes] |
truer words have never been said, lies to children should be put in a positive light, not negative. like Santa or the Easter bunny. the worst example of that type of negative mentoring I've ever heard was a father telling his daughter that if she didn't eat all her broccoli, the dinner witch would get her. now she's as big as a house
|
Hello peeps how are you all doing?
|
