I hope that doesn't end up happening to me sometime in the future. D:
I always think to myself that I'm not able to kill spiders, or stab people, or fight back if I have to...

Then I think, hm, if I lived alone, or even with a husband/wife and baby... And there was a spider in my baby's room, would I go in there and smush it? I dunno. I'd like to think so.

Not that stabbing someone is like smushing a spider! It's just something I wonder if I'll ever be comfortable doing...

I hate bugs.
I hate them, yet, whenever I need to kill them, I want them to live....

I'm the kinda person who has scary thoughts if I feel crossed, so there's no mercy for bugs from me.

Natural Predators do make that decision easier, since it's just nature then.

I have a friend who once stabbed her boyfriend in the shoulder. though, her reasons were a little more 'menstrual' in their initial application

Stabbing is scary. I sometimes have dreams where I'm hurting someone else and it's so scary because I would never do that in reality.
I don't purposely hurt people, even if I want to. But I understand in some cases, it's the thing to do.

self defence/defence of an innocent is fine, but stabbing for stabbing's sake? I think someone needs a time out.

I assure you, mine was not a "menstrual moment!" Lol!
I am normally such a pacifist!...have laid down to take more than my fair share of beatings without lifting a finger in my own self-defense....but when it came to my baby's safety, I woulda fought to the death!
I'm just glad I only got his shoulder....not a lung or an artery!
THAT woulda left a much bigger mess to clean up...and a completely different kind of "scar!"

....and that's all I have to say about that! Lol!

So.....how's everybody's weekend been?

lol, your case was totally justified. and, as evident by his later actions, he thought so too. its amazing the inner strength that mothers gain access to when their children are in danger. you hear stories of women tearing off locked car doors, or even lifting cars off the ground, to save their progeny. I think its a latent offshoot of the adrenal 'fight or flight' reaction, intermingled with the presence of estrogen, that sets it off. whatever it is, its naturally inherent in women all over the world, but totally absent in men. lol, the 'weaker sex' indeed

Tearing a door off? Lifting a car? That's the most metal thing I've ever read, and I just got here.

lol, definitely. llamas in hats are in my top five hundred of fun things to see

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, is the name of the new princess royal. named, respectively, after her grandfather, great grandmother, and grandmother. lol, Princess Charlie, how common. just like her mother (because she's a commoner and not of noble blood )
