No need to apologize hun! <3
Spending quality time with loved ones instead of on the computer is nothing to be sorry for [yes]

I've been under the weather too - still battling the flu, and I also just found out that my thyroid level is double what it should be, so now I have to stop my thyroid meds and get it rechecked to make sure it comes down to normal levels - sooo apparently that's also been adding to my flu symptoms LOL!
Hopefully it'll come down soon though [yes]
Mom said it should be down in a couple weeks or so - so we'll see!

salvete 02-21-2016 04:48 PM

Ahhh hope you feel better soon Emma Corrin this is going on way too long *shakes fist at the flu*

R u b y 02-21-2016 06:49 PM

Haha well, I don't know about away from the computer xD We're long distance at the moment so we're on skype everyday. That's where we met actually.
I'm trying to go see him in April though :3

And I'm with Sal, I hope you start feeling better soon!

salvete 02-21-2016 08:47 PM

I didn't know you could meet people on skype

how do you do that

R u b y 02-21-2016 09:42 PM

through other people lol

Thanks hun! <3
I'm on a 10 day course of antibiotics - stupid horse-pill of a capsule twice a day - it's horrible and makes me feel so nauseous [gonk]
I'm about half way through the bottle, though, so hopefully I'll start seeing a full turnaround soon.
I'm already starting to see an improvement to an extent since starting the antibiotic [yes]
My voice is completely back, but I'm still a little nasally at times. And my coughing has gone away for the most part - so I'm slowly improving, but just not completely [yes]

LOL! Well, you know what I mean!!
That's really nice though that you guys are able to coordinate that time together - I'm sure it can't be easy!
Are you guys in different time-zones?

Aw yay! That's not too far away!
How long are you planning on going for? Just a weekend or a mini-vacation sort of thing?

Thank you!! <3
-points to above message about flu so I don't double post it- [;)]

It actually happens quite often!!
My brother has met so many people through Skype it's crazy - a lot of it is through is Gaming community, but then those people introduce to other people and it just goes viral, so to speak lol
It's really the new way to connect [yes]
Not sure what that says about our society and technology, but ya know xD;

R u b y 02-22-2016 04:43 AM

Yep! That's exactly how we met :3 through a former mutual friend.

He's an hour behind me. I'm in North Carolina and he's in Minnesota. And I'm hoping to stay a week and a half / 2 weeks.

Emma Corrin 02-22-2016 05:02 AM

Oh yikes - former is never a good story. At least you two came out of it! :D

Ohhhh okay! So that's where Minnesota is coming from!!
I gotcha now [yes]
That'll be a nice time frame - not too long but still long enough to spend some time together in person and really get to know one another <3
Hopefully it'll be nice weather!!

R u b y 02-22-2016 05:07 AM

Yeah, we're pretty happy to have each other after all of that. It's totally fine though :3

Yep! :D We wanted to be together this month but we kinda forgot about this thing called winter xD we were just wanting to be together. It's really difficult to be so far away.

Well even if it isn't we'll be together and that's what counts ^^

Emma Corrin 02-22-2016 05:15 AM

Oh I definitely know the struggle! It's not an easy thing being in a long distance relationship - it's hard to maintain!
But when both parties are committed and make the time for each other, then it can work out in the end. [yes]

Yeahh - winter's been kind of crazy this year!
Hopefully by the end of March we'll see the snow leave for good, but since it came so late and it's getting so terribly cold and stormy, we may end up having winter for a little longer this year again. [gonk]

Oh no I meant for traveling conditions! Not sure if you're driving or flying, but I know Minnesota has CRAZYYY winters - worse than ours here in NY [yes]
Everything SHOULD be good by April, but with the way this winter has been, I'm not holding my breath until May!! [gonk]

But yes - I completely agree - rain or shine, as long as you're with the people you love that's all that matters! <3

R u b y 02-22-2016 05:20 AM

Oh yeah for sure :3 All of my relationships have been long distance haha xD So I know the struggle. I've always made them work, it was never the distance that caused a break up.
It's just extremely hard for me this time because we have such a strong connection. It's one of those times when you feel like you've known someone your whole life.

And yeah, that's why we picked April. It's the soonest we can think about it with safety in mind. I'll have to fly because it's about 22 hours from me. So I don't feel safe flying during the winter. I'm hoping to be there around the end of April, early May. I'll probably be there sometime around April 28th.

Emma Corrin 02-22-2016 05:48 AM

Aw - that's super sweet!
It's rare to find that kind of connection <3
I really hope April is going to work out for you guys!
If you're planning it that late in April then I'd definitely say you're golden [yes]

Not going to lie - I have a fear of flying any time of the year xD;
I drive everywhere!
22 hours isn't that much for me personally - it would take me a couple of days to make the trip, but I'd be less likely to die of anxiety and a panic attack LOL!
I'm really bad with flying [sweat]
Plus, my brother flew for the first time over the summer, and he has sinus pressure problems just like I do but I'm worse with my TMJ on top of it, and he literally barely made it for the 1 hr connector flight before getting on the main flight, and then my Mom and I had to go pick him up when he was ready to come home because he couldn't use the return ticket! (Mom couldn't go alone because she can't figure out GPS, and I couldn't go that far away alone because I can't drive for that long of a period of time)
Soooo I'm even more petrified of flying now [gonk]

R u b y 02-22-2016 06:03 AM

Thanks! <3

haha if I could drive myself I wouldn't mind doing that. But I don't drive. We're used to road trips, we've been up to Massachusetts before, that was about 16 hours, we've been to flordia numerous times, 8 and 11 hours, and we also drove cross country to move here from Oregon. I'd like to drive too, just because you aren't restricted on what you can bring with you AND you don't have to go back at a given time. It's kinda just up to you. But it's gonna be cheaper for us to just fly there. It's about the same if not more in gas money, plus trying to sleep on the way there and food and THEN having a hotel and more food when we get there (because we can't stay with him), it's about twice as expensive and twice as long to drive this one.

Emma Corrin 02-22-2016 07:13 AM

That's true - I didn't think about that aspect! It's definitely more costly to drive vs fly when you look at it that way, especially when you're not flying that far and you have limited time and funds! [yes]
Doing flights for long driving trips like that is definitely more cost effective!
But I agree on the pros for driving though - plus you're able to stop and see the sights and experience the local shops and eateries on your way through places versus just hopping in the air and going straight there - when I go on long trips I always factor in the route and add in as much as we can when we go - it not only breaks up driving, but it also adds in experiences to the trip as a whole! [yes]
Plus it's always fun to go down one way and back another if possible! ;D

R u b y 02-22-2016 07:24 AM

Yeah I like being able to look at things too. We did a lot of sight seeing on the way over here. We actually say devil's tower, crazy horse and mt rushmore all in one day lol. It was pretty cool.

This is a different kind of trip though. If it was just to go and see the state it'd be one thing, but I don't want to wait any longer than I absolutely have to to see him. If he was with us, then I'd be all for sight seeing haha. I'd much rather get on a plane and be there within the next few hours xD I mean usually when we fly it's back to Oregon, and that's a 6 hours by plane, with a layover in the middle. So this'll be much faster. Probably more like 4. 4 vs 24, a LOT better lol.

Queen_Andais 02-22-2016 03:18 PM

When we pull our thirteen hour car ride to South Lake Tahoe, it's pretty much a straight shot with minimal stopping for gas and pee breaks. There isn't a whole lot to see on the route from our house to their. And the few that are there, we've already seen them a time or two. Sounds terrible to say it like that, but it's the truth.

My word the phones are crazy this morning, hoping this means we are going to pick up with business this week. It was rather quiet last week with orders. What really needs to be done is me hitting up open houses and dropping out my business card so they will call and use us. All about getting our name out there with different agents.

Mmm, noshing on a cheese bagel right now! Heaven! How I have missed carbs and all their wonderous yumminess. A Dr. Pepper would make the morning better, however, I have given up soda and all caffeine. Makes me sad. Oh well.

How was everyone's weekend?

Fauxreal 02-24-2016 05:11 AM

*fluffs up pillows*... it is bed time people.

Queen_Andais 02-24-2016 03:00 PM

I conked out at about the same time you did, Faux. My husband and I played tennis for a good forty minutes last night after work, made dinner, took a shower and I was out.

R u b y 02-24-2016 11:03 PM

HAY PEEPS

I'll shift to a slightly earlier sleeper when the nights get short again.

Yeah I can totally understand that one [yes]
It sounds like you're wicked excited!! <3
Once you guys get there you can always do a small day trip to places or something if you have time - I'm not sure what's over that way (or how far away states are from each other) but I'm sure y'all will find something fun to do for sure - though I think even if you just stayed on the couch all day chilling with Netflix you'd be pretty happy campers lol! [hug]

Are there any other routes to take here? Or is it just kind of the one route?
It's tough when you've seen everything though and it's not something that changes - it can definitely be frustrating for sure because there's nothing to really break up the travel with! :(

Woot! Hopefully more business will pop in!
Going out to open houses and passing out business cards is definitely a great way to entice people to come in though - you not only sell your services, but you sell yourself that way. They have a face and personality to the name, and sometimes that's the selling factor and what tips people towards your business! [yes]

Aw - they make caffeine free soda!
Not in all flavors, but in a lot of them - I drink caffeine free myself - whole family really [yes]
We only get caffeine when we're out to eat and they don't have caffeine free, or if I drink coffee lol
But I will say, I'm back into hardly drinking coffee at all again. Not sure why.... but it could be because I'm just too lazy to use my Keurig and fix my coffee after [headdesk]

I've been pretty exhausted - on top of my flu, my blood work came back and my thyroid officially quit working, which is my my level is double what it should be I guess, so I set up an appointment to see a local endocrinologist (they finally got one so I don't have to go to the quack in VT anymore) - hopefully it goes well. I'm even more exhausted than I should be because of this stupid flu. Only 2 days left of meds, but I'm thinking I need another round because I'm still sick and my knee is still infected [gonk]
Can I just live in a bubble yet?
I swear, I just need to stop answering phone calls. Every day there's something new!!!

I know what you mean - time changes and light changes always mess me up! [yes]

---------- Post added 02-25-2016 at 12:43 AM ----------

On a side note.... someone needs to take my money and lock it away...
Over the last month or two, I've spent like 40-50k on items from Roachi, and I've nearly bought out the entire recolor store. I think I've probably spent at least 20k in there so far, and there's another 6k left until I've gotten everything I want.
I seriously have a spending problem right now.... [shock]

Queen_Andais 02-25-2016 02:46 PM

Emma, if you need some where to lock your gold away, KillingFrost is my dumping ground for gold. He hoards very well. In fact, I should transfer what I have on me now to him so I am not tempted to buy things. We can keep track of our separately with a ledger. And no, I won't spend your gold, got my own 400k to go through.

R u b y 02-25-2016 08:30 PM

Emma: haha yeah I think for this time we'll just be hanging out as much as possible xD

salvete 02-25-2016 10:40 PM

I just looked down and realized how big my tummy was o.o maybe because I ate a ton of pasta and lasagna for dinner just now.

R u b y 02-25-2016 10:47 PM

Should we call you Garfield now? xD
