I only kill a sim if they're glitched and I can't delete them. I usually delete the pre-made families and redo their house for my own sims.
/also, Sims 4 thing /there's a (large but still there) limit to how many sims it'll let you have in a neighborhood /once you have reached it, the newest sims will be deleted and show up in a family tree as dead /there's a mod to fix it |
I like the idea of the Sims more than I can see myself playing it. Just not that invested in a game. *shrugs*

I don't like that now when you try to game, online or offline, you gotta download another program that keeps track of updates or somethin' and create an account on there first. And then it's always running in the background whenever you play. Really, it looks like most of those programs' features are for people who don't solo game. Let me isolate myself! IDC that it's an online game and that's the point! *flips table* |
sims 4 is online? i don't really do online games if i can help it. I know its a terrible habit, but people are so MEAN online to me :/ in games i mean. obviously. you guys are awesome <3

The Sims 4 isn't an online game, but you do have to download one of said programs to play it, and it makes you do updates for the game. They even have expansion packs where you enter a serial number into the program and download from there to install it. No CD. @[email protected] I don't like it. All I've seen "updates" do is make downloaded content not work anymore and the creator has to fix all their downloads one by one so we can redownload them.

What? You didn't know sims could die? They can be killed or can die of old age if you turn aging on.

You could let them starve. You could drown them. I think electrocution will do it, too. In Sims 4, apparently, literally dying from embarrassment or anger is possible. I found out because I saw a mod to remove the feature and immediately downloaded.

That's so silly. But there's actually a cheat to ultimately turn off death in that game.
Oh, right. You can burn your sims to death, too. That's a crowd favorite. I'm surprised I forgot that one. There's a cheat to turn off fire in Sims 4. [heart] |

Uuum… I know in Sims 1, you can beg the Grim Reaper to let them live. It seems like he always gives in and spares 'em if you get a sim to catch him in time. That given you have the Livin' Large expansion pack, which introduced the floating robed creepy-laugh skeleton man I like to call reapie. If you don't have that, no, I don't believe there's a way unless you do some hax.
As for newer games, there's probably some way. I care for my sims so aggressively that no one gets a chance to die or even be in a less than ecstatic mood for very long. |

The Sims does know how to suck you in, especially when you know how to edit the game coding. I think I'd be sold if I knew how to make stuff and edit the code in Sims 3 or 4.
