Lath- Fingers crossed you DO get an ideal job right out the gate though! <3 I'm applying to some cool environmental jobs and keep being like "hey library look at my application AGAIN :)" every time they post a new job I'm qualified for in a branch near a main bus route, so I'm super hoping I'll have some luck.

I'm usually pretty okay with focusing once I get into A Zone (it's just getting that that stumps me up, haha) and I think I would like work like that! It does sound relaxing. Plus, it would help with my terry Crews arm goal.

I want to go back the the bird rehabilitaor's house I took smol birb to and be like "make me ur apprentice" because it was seriously the COOLEST THING I've ever seen. Also then I can see smol birb again. I came to love that guy in the 30-ish hours I cared for him!

Shattered
- I think I'd be a Star Sapphire (aroace Star Sapphire screaming about the power of platonic love all the time) but. I am also a ball of rage with zero chill a lot of the time SO I will hold the RLs close 2 my heart always bc I'm like half a step away, I tell ya what.

Oh nooo, that sounds like awful timing for that to rear it's ugly head. Also, caffeine, and grease, while delicious, are for sure an unholy trinity when combined.

That is so cute oh my GOSH! Little duck babs! That's such a cool memory to have!
Weirdly enough, my state doesn't staff bird rehabilitators so Wildlife Services can't take them? The lady we took my lil guy to was a volunteer who learned to do it on her own time. Also, it's illegal to rehabilitate deer (what) and it's really hard for racoon rehabilitation to be ok-ed due to state laws? There's not... that many wild animal species besides birds, deer and raccoons in this state...

NUTS I can't drive so there goes my 40 yro soccer mom vibe altogether!

Coffee- (Amane I am sorry this become a topic RIGHT after you said something OTL) I'm glad PSL are only around sometimes because INEVITABLY I make myself sick of them by after Thanksgiving so it's like. I have recharge time and by summer I'm craving them again. Thanks, seasonal beverages! (Peppermint SHOULD be all the time, though. The coffee shop I frequent has an AMAZING mint mocha, though.)
Also: lavender lattes. Incredible. Except so hard to find. I had a really great one at a place that's closed now, and the two other places I've found them have not been as good. :'( (And in one of the places the people who work there are Mean)

Aww thanks! I do my best! <3

One of my friends gave both of my kiddos their nicknames. <3 My name is Luna, so Moon attached to the kid's nicknames was a must (also Moonlit being part of my username played a role in there as well)! LOL! <33

Well parents aside it's been an alright support system. Daniel has full on stepped into that role without any complaints - as I'm there for him as well. <3 It really is a much much much better life now. 110% better than what it used to be.
I think she does - but who really knows how much she totally understands.
Moony or Loony were some of my nicknames growing up.

It's not the end of the world for you unless you let it be.
It honestly really isn't all as bad - it just happens that I'm in the last month so right now it's just big one giant complain fest. But parts have been great plus having Daniel's support all the way through has been WONDERFUL! <3

Also regarding my trauma - please don't generalize it... You do not know what I went through.

Yep! You are a special thread. (Thanks! I grew up not really liking it as my brother loved to call me Loony... not Luna. :/ But I don't mind it anymore. :] ) No worries! I actually picked Moonlit as part of my username because of my first name. :) Plus it sounded better than Moon Freedom or Luna Freedom. LOL!

Awww that's not a nice nickname! Is your brother older or younger - mine is almost nearly 8 years older than me, so we never got along, until we were adults with kids. Well rather it was around the time that I was pregnant that we started somewhat getting along better. :) He's had kids for years. haha! Old man! ;)

Mine is five years younger than me and we only started getting along when I went off to college. It helps that we're both nerds and can bond over Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and cartoons and things. How old are his kids?

His kids are 11 and 13. And he's been married since he was 20 (he's 35 now). His wife finally got him to see that I'm a good person that deserves him actually not being mean to, and we're not the best of friends but we get each other better now.

That's good that things with him are at least somewhat better! I'm hoping my relationship with my sister will improve at some point. We definitely have some rockiness between us, and physical space separating us hasn't helped much. :/

I'm the awesome aunt who's only roughly 10 years older than them. I love my niece (the 13 year old) and nephew (the 11 year old). :)
Here's to hoping! Aww! :( Is she older or younger, if you don't mind me asking? I just have the one brother, and I do consider his wife my sister - considering that I've known her since before I was a teenager! LOL!

Yes, that does score Cool Aunt points for sure!
I'm the oldest of the three of us! Three years older than her. We just have different values, as well as different ways of handling being hurt and upset, and totally miss each other's points of view a lot. We do a lot of avoiding one another. :/ But it makes it easier to get along when we do see one another, at least. I CAN see us getting along in the future, but for now... not so much. :B

Re: Moonlit - I did not mean to insult what you went through. No, I don't know what happened and how it affected your life. I don't pretend to and hopefully will never be able to empathize. All I can do is guess and try to sympathize. I've had my fair share of trauma and difficulty, right down to the point of debilitating trust issues and a reclusive, violently introverted nature. I guess what I honestly meant was all anyone can do is push forward and look for support from others before we all devolve into our own versions of the depressed, suicidal recluse that I was a few years ago, and still am to some degree. I can't say much more.

I was 14 when my niece was born and 16 when my nephew was born. :) So yep! The joys of having a way older brother. :P

Awww, some siblings just are too different to totally get along. I'm sorry that you don't get along with her all that great. Do you two end up in the same place often or not as much anymore?

---------- Post added 08-18-2015 at 07:17 PM ----------

Yeah, but to say that all trauma is like that in general made me feel like what I went through really is just generally the same for everyone and it isn't - everyone who has experienced trauma... it's different for everyone. There's no way to generalize what someone has gone through...

Without going into a lot of personal details... mine had to do with a REALLY abusive ex (both mentally, physically, and sexually), him treating me like absolute crap - beating down my self esteem and making me feel like I wasn't worthy of love... and me staying with him for WAY longer than I ever should have. Honestly sure I'd go through it all again as it gave me the light of my life - my Norah - and she gave me the strength, along with a group of people I had been talking to - to get out of there and it led me to my husband (after I swore to myself never to trust another man again)... But I guess the way I read your initial post was that all trauma is generally like that and no trauma that two people go through is the same ... EVERYONE'S Trauma - those who have experienced it - is unique to their life, and not general at all.

To me - the trauma that someone has gone through can not be generalized... as to me it makes it feel like what we has a person have gone through isn't worthy or meaningful. I don't like making what I went through into this thing that is a general idea of trauma as I know the hell I went through. Pardon my language.

Moonlit- Did you like being an aunt that young, or did you find it bit daunting?
Nooot too much, she goes to school an eight hour drive away, and even when she's home for summer and winter break, I prefer to be at our mom's house, she prefers our dad's. Plus, we tend to have opposite schedules. We just lived at home at the same time for a few weeks, and she got a haircut on a Monday and I literally didn't see it or know about it until the weekend, if that tells you how little we see of one another.

Amane- Sometimes I want to, for sure. Luckily I've found myself wishing that less, but it can be a struggle.

Iltu: Well it wasn't like I had much of a choice in the matter. I've grown to love it - as time goes on though! <3
Oh wow! I can see how the distance for school and the opposite schedules cut into seeing each other!

Moonlit- Differences side, my sister keeps pestering me about having kids so she can be an aunt! I'm like, girl, enjoy ur dog nieces and nephews bc human ones probably ain't happenin'. I like kids, but I think I'll prefer to be a cool aunt instead of a mom, myself.

Amane- Eesh, bummer! Sorry things have gone that way. :/
