Yeah, it wasn't anything I did - just apparently went against their wishes with how I went about getting married (and then there is the whole thing that they apparently don't agree with my sexuality and who I am. *grumbles and bangs her head into a table* Not like that changes who I am at all... *sighs* Oh well.
I can say that since meeting Daniel - definitely more ups than downs. :] She's... oh gosh, let me think... 10 months old now, I think? Or is she 11 months, she's not quite a year - I know that much at least. Do you have any way of finding some way to get outside and to some place quiet? I've gotten so used to the chatter of my daughter that not having it is weird to me. |
Aw geeze, how closed minded of them. It's your life to live how fit, and as for your sexuality, you are who you are! It's not lIke you made a choice just to tick them off?? People have such ridiculous ideas about how other people Should Be and how they should live their lives. [no]
Oh my gosh, what a cute age! Still a puppy and kind of little, but not entirely a helpless wreck anymore. [lol] I usually try to figure out people's schedules and go to whichever house is less likely to have someone there if I feel the need to be alone. They're only a 20 minute walk apart, so not bad! And there's some walking trails in the woods nearby, so I have a place to go wandering and get away a bit. So, sincw Norah's a chatterer, are her communication skills pretty good? It sounds like it from what you've said! |
[flops in] Hello hello! How are you lovelies this late afternoon?
Moonlit: I slept pretty well, thank you! Had a weird dream, but that's just par for the course lately. :P AW MAN you look so cute in that photo!! I agree 100% with Iltu, Norah has FANTASTIC taste when it comes to fashion and outfits~. Eugh terrible abusive relationships D: Good on you for being able to get out of that and away from him! That's scary stuff, and it takes so much strength and courage, oh man. I'm so happy for you that you're in a better place now, and that you've got a husband who's so good to you!! You def. deserve it! Boooo re: your parents not accepting you, though. :( That's awful of 'em. Awwwwww, tiny babby corgie puppy! :'D No wonder Norah so desperately wants a puppy-- she's got a good reference for one! Iltu: omg u nerd I'm glad you were able to meet your dad on time despite sleeping in! I HOPE U GAVE TUCKER KISSES 4 ME and also I hope you had a lovely day with your dad! My college only has two yoga instructors, and one is super chill and laid back and the other is A GRADE A+ HARDASS like, refused-to-compensate-for-my-roommate's-disabilities-and-locks-the-door-five-minutes-before-class-starts and i don't remember which is which, SO. I'll get to find out in a few weeks! But I have never ever done yoga before, so I'm excited!! It's been highly recommended to me by a lot of friends and classmates, so!! I'm decently flexible-- got more so during my dance class, and it's stuck w/ me a fair bit-- but I'm really interested in improving that, and it seems like a really good way to start my mornings a couple times a week. ALSO THE PUPPY IS A MUTT OF SOME KIND I DON'T REMEMBER EXACTLY BUT I KNOW SHE'S A BLOODHOUND AND SOMETHING ELSE AND SHE IS THE C U T E S T THING I'VE EVER SEEN she does have memory issues tho, poor thing, like she freaks out pretty bad if something her environment changes, even if it's just my aunt took out the garbage, and when the gf and i were visiting over spring break the poor dear forgot who we were eveRY SINGLE DAY so EVERY SINGLE DAY there was a like 20 minute period of "WHO ARE YOU BARK BARK BARK BARK!!!!!" And even after reintroduction she would just. Forget who we were (ESP THE GF). Part of me's wondering if she isn't just scamming us to get more treats every single day, since we use them for the introduction phase. (They're essentially bribing, for "no see food!! treats!!! this person is a FRIEND who LOVES YOU and LOVES YOUR PEOPLE and SEE THEY GAVE YOU TREATS so no bark!! it's okay!!!" and isn't. quite as effective as I think my aunt wants it to be. b/c the puppy is VERY SMART and knows if she keeps barking she will keep being bribed with treats.) |
Exactly!! My husband accepts who I am - it's not like I'd go and cheat on him just because I'm bisexual (my parents, when they found out, basically told me that I'm going to sleep around with anyone I find attractive), I'm committed to him... end of story. Gr! :/ I miss my parents but I don't miss the negativity. :( At least my brother and his wife haven't given up on me. Can't my parents just be happy for me. :(
Yeah, young enough to be cute but not at that age where she is helpless like you said. She does keep getting so excited that she'll jump up *they're working on stopping her from jumping up on people, slow going* and she'll fall over backwards. [lmao] OH that's not too bad - they're decently close together with ways to get away if you need to get away and neither house is the quieter of the two. Sounds good to me. She's a chatter-box but we don't always understand what she says, especially if she's super excited and tries to talk too fast. [lol] But she does love to talk. [yes] We are able to understand her most of the time, but there's some times that Danny and I just have to smile and nod. Haha! xD ---------- Post added 08-11-2015 at 05:00 PM ---------- Lathrine: I'm doing alright! How are you doing? :D That's great! :D Weird dreams, I know about those as well, my dreams go all wonky when I'm pregnant - that's one similar thing between my two pregnancies so far. Thank you!! I tried to reason with her and she just put her hands on her hips and looked at me until I put the scarf back on. [lol] I'm still slowly recovering from it, even though it's been awhile since I've been with him - I know it'll take way longer to fully get over it, but what's wonderful about my husband is that he never pushes and lets me go at my own pace. :] Yes, he's good for both me and Norah. <3 My parents are stuck in their ways and they have their mind set on how I should behave and act and all that... apparently I went drastically against all of that. :( At least I still have my brother. :) Hahaha! Yeah, she wants a puppy she can cuddle and play with at home, not just at my brother's house. LOL! My brother's puppy is called Lailia, but Norah doesn't fully get how to say her name - so she calls her LaLa. [lol] [love] |
Lath- That instructor is?? Ridiculous holy shit?? Like the whole point of (westernized) yoga is to... take care of your body and respect it's needs so? UGH HE SOUNDS AWFUL. Fingers crossed you get the chill one, jeeze louise. My yoga instructor for school was a summer nice dude from China who brought in a tea kettle for us if we wanted tea because he wanted us to feel safe and warm (his EXACT words, like, he is a blessing to humanity.) He was so approachable and friendly. Like, it was a class of fifty and if any of us went up to him after class with like, a request for a focus on a body part, or for a certain move to be in the next class or to say we felt like things were moving too fast or slow he would adjust it for the next class and just tried SO HARD to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves I LOVED HIM. (Also we were only allowed to miss two classes but he straight up told us that as long as we showed up, we would pass even if we just slept on the mat because we needed to rest before an exam I LOVED THAT MAN) (And the ones that worked at my uni's gym were all fab so I've just had gr8 experiences.) I hope you enjoy it!! I think it's really fun and relaxing and helps me calm down!!
SCREAMS oh she sounds like a darling! Hounds are so cute. But aw, poor baby. :'(Is she a rescue? Maybe she went through some nastiness before she found her lovely home with your aunt. But a SMART baby, omg!! That honestly wouldn't surprise me, dogs are little monsters when it comes to figuring out how to get treats. Tucker does 'shake' unprompted all the time because he's SO USED to getting a treat for it. Anyway, I am good, thanks for asking! (except something tragic happened in the video game I was playing last night and it TOTALLY BLINDSIDED ME and I'm STILL UPSET, ef u dragon age, I'm used to only books doing this to me not frickin video games smh) How about you? Moonlit- THAT IS THE WORST!! AND MOST RIDICULOUS!! Stereotype about bisexual people!! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with your parents having that level of bigotry. No one should have to go through that. *hugs* I'm so glad you have people in your life who respect your sexuality, but it's really unacceptable for people to be so gross about it. :( Laila is making me want a corgi, oh my gooosh [lol] Haha, they're so cute at that chatterbox age. I love it when little kids just wanna talk and talk, even if sometimes you don't know what they're trying to tell you. The only baby/toddler I ever get to see in my family lives eight hours away (boo!) so I only see her a few times a year, but when I saw her in March she was slowly but surely inching her way to the talkative stage. She was only a year, so all she could say is basic words and "What is that?" (and then not understand the answer, haha) but we heard "What is that?" roughly four hundred times and hour. [lol] |
Iltu: Oh I know... it pisses me off that they think so lowly of me... :/ It's not like I act ANY differently than I did before they found out my secret, that I wasn't telling them for this reason... :( They've chosen to do this, it's their fault. I'm sick of hiding and now I don't have to. My husband accepts me as I am, and it's not like I'll go and cheat on him. YES I'm bisexual, but when I say I'm with someone, I'm with that ONE person, despite what my parents may think. They've pretty much lost me because of their actions. And I hate it, but it is what it is.
She almost makes me want a corgi but I won't give in!! xD I too can play with the dog by walking over to my brother's place! :P Oh I love this age where everything is just so interesting and it must be told, even if she can't fully explain it. It's adorable. Norah went through a "what" stage, and still is kind of still in it as well - we sometimes ask her "what" related questions and have fun giggling at her answers. Just so cute. I love getting to hear about the world from my 2 year old's point of view. So innocent. <3 As of tonight, I've been told "Mama, why's yous has a ball belly?" [lmao] I told her "that's where your little sister is right now until she's ready to come out and visit us." Her response "Oh, now?" *facepalm* Yeah, I have a child who doesn't understand the concept of time. haha! |
I hope one day they realize that they're bigoted buffoons and apologize, though I know that can be kind of a long shot to hope for when people are so closed minded. :/ They have no one to blame but themselves for losing you. You've got to protect yourself as best you can from people like that, though it really does suck when they were people you loved and were supposed to be able to trust to support you.
[lol] It's seriously such a cute time! The way they perceive things is adorable (and sometimes weirdly insightful) and the imagination they use to fill in the gaps is amazing. Getting kids that young ready for younger siblings can be a lot of work, just because of how they filter information, haha. Weirdly enough one of my earliest memories is being like, "Mom... are you having a baby?" when she was very pregnant with either my brother or sister, so I was either almost three or almost five. (I can remember the shirt she had on and the way she wore her hair, but not which sibling it was!) And they had already TOLD ME, probably multiple times, and probably showed me the nursery and stuff as well. I remember being surprised that the answer was yes, but also kind of like, 'hm i thought so.' [roll] Anyway, how're you doing today? :) All still well I hope! |
I highly doubt that they'll ever change and I doubt I can ever forgive them for the words that they've called me and the way that they've treated me. They've not ONLY lost me but BOTH of their granddaughters and one heck of a son-in-law. But oh well... their loss! They did support me, before I went about getting married in the WRONG way and that I'm bisexual when that goes against what they believe. :/ Oh well. Their loss.
It really does shock me how much she notices - when I least expect it! Yeah, she seems more interested in the fact that her mom has a massively huge belly, not that she's getting a sister. [lol] She loves coming up, kissing my belly and gently drumming her hands on it. I'm doing alright today - I had to go to a doctor's appointment, all is going alright. But now I'm tired! Nap time, maybe? xD Well, no - that won't work, the hubby and munchkin will be home soon. So I'll just get woken up if I take a nap now. How are you doing? |
Their loss indeed! You're a wonderful, friendly and kind person, and that's just what I know from talking to you online a bit! [glomp] I can't imagine how much joy you're capable of bringing to people who have known you a long time. And it sounds like they... are not wonderful, friendly, kind people in return. It's a shame that their being awful has lost them not one, but four lights in their life, but well, I can't say I feel bad for them in this situation, not one bit.
Haha, aww! Hopefully that love she has for your belly carries right on over to her little sister when she gets here. Gad the doctor's appointment went well! Sorry to hear you're tired, hopefully you get an early start going to bed tonight. I'm doing alright, also tired and a little off my game because my favorite time of the month started today. :B But I got to read a fair chunk of my book and spend a lot of time with the doggies, so that was nice! |
They were decent parents - I knew that if they found out about my sexuality, they'd turn on me. Not totally sure how they found out. My brother swears he didn't tell, same with his wife. Oh well. [hug] I don't feel bad for them either - they've brought this upon themselves. Do I miss what I used to have with them, yeah, I do. But do I like who they've become. No, not at all. Oh well. Their loss. I have decent in-laws, and a brother who's wonderful, and a loving husband and two daughters, one of which I can not wait at all to finally hold. <3
I sure hope so!! We have our fingers crossed!! Thanks - yeah, I love getting to see our little Biscuit. <3 Our kicking very active biscuit. [lol] I'm going to definitely try to go to bed earlier than I did the other night. *fingers crossed* I remember how tired that time of the month would exhaust me - although being pregnant exhausts me even more. That sounds like a good day to me. :] What book are you reading? Yay for getting to spend time with the doggies! :) I stopped by a friend's place after the doctor's appointment to visit with their two new kittens - well they're not really new - but they are young - about 10 weeks old. I had to take a shower and wash my clothes as soon as I got home as my hubby is REALLY allergic to cats but omg, they are so adorable! <33 They loved perching on my belly. [lmao] |
Well, I am sorry they become people who put you through this, but I'm so glad you have so many people in your life who love you for you and make you so happy. [hug] Not that it negates the pain they have caused, but you deserve the love you get from others a thousand times over!
Yes, it must be more tiring, since it lasts more than four or five days! [lol] Especially with a rowdy lil one in there. I'm reading The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin and it's so good. [drool] It's a fantasy book about a world that has an apocalyptic event every several hundred years, and the main character sets off to rescue her kidnapped daughter right after the latest apocalypse strikes. N.K. Jemisin is probably my favorite author, her writing is beautiful and her stories have so much diversity. There's always a lot of women, people of color, LGBTQAIP+ people, people who are disabled, and other marginalized groups in her stories, other fantasy authors really ought to take a page from her book, so to speak. Awwww, how fun! Kittens are so cute, my best friend just got one that's about ten weeks as well, and he is seriously the most adorable thing. And yikes! My dad is allergic too, but not REALLY allergic, just enough that living in a house with a cat would make him miserable. But my mom has two, so lucky me. [;)] Did you have cats growing up at all? |
Mene's a different place from whenever you left it. Dat's for sure.
|
So much looks the same, but it sure is a lot quieter now, which I expected, but it still makes me sad. :'(
Love your avatar, by the way! |
Thank you! :D
Yeah. We've become a tiny community. Even during events. Though, there's so much posting then that it's still more than enough to have to keep up with. |
I'm glad to hear that! I was wondering if events would be more active, it's good to know they are.
Have you stayed pretty consistently active here on Mene since you joined, or have you ha time away as well? |
I did have some time away. Years ago. And then I was only on during events. I've been steadily active for, uh, three years?
|
Oh, nice! I'm really hoping to make this a more permanent return and not a short lived one, so hopefully three years from now, I'll be saying the same. [lol]
How's your day/night/morning going? |
Other than sixth sense shenanigans, business as usual.
|
Sixth sense shenanigans? What's what mean? o: (Sorry if that's a silly question!)
|
*grins* I just coined the term tonight. I found out I come from a long line of prophets and I gotta watch my back if I inherited that.
|
Oh, wow! My family has a history of some sixth sense-type stuff on my mom's side, but that's mostly just a few smaller incidents. Sounds like your family has a lot of instances of it! Yeah, I definitely think it's best to be careful with that stuff.
|
Amane, you will tell prophecies of many amazing things.
You will tell us all if Crimson Peak will be really as scary as the director wants us to think, of if it's going to be just naked Tom Hiddleston everywhere?! |
I gotta learn how to read the premonitions. It's really hard!

What are the premonitions like? Also, if I ask anything that you feel is too invasive, please don't feel like you have to answer. I know some people like to talk about it, but for some this stuff can be really personal. [yes]
Ava- I haven't heard of Crimson Peak, but it sounds like you have the right questions haha Dang, it seems like every time I meet someone new, I have to get to bed! Good night all, hope to see you around tomorrow. [yes] |
Iltu: Yeah - I just miss my mom's hugs so much. :( Oh well, life is the way it is, I can't change it. But my husband and daughter give good hugs. [love]
Yep, 40 weeks - give or take, which is actually closer to 10 months, instead of the 9 that most people think a pregnancy is. She's running out of room, that's for sure!! [yes] Oh cool! I rarely have enough free time to read these days, sadly. Or when I do get into a book, things call me off. I have a poor attention span. They are fun! :D So cute and itty bitty! <3 Danny is, sadly, REALLY allergic. So I have to be careful whenever I go and spend time with people who have cats. Nope we really didn't have pets growing up. |
