Shattered- Sometimes I'm perusing my GLTAS and other people's ocs tag and stumble across your drawings of Talos and am like "dang!"
DRUID, I THINK THAT'S WHAT IT WAS! Maybe Hunter. I don't remember for sure but it's not important so idk why I'm trying so hard?
I figured, since you have OCs for other stuff! One of my fav parts of RPGs is being able to come up with OC stuff for the player character. I don't video game often, but when I do, it's games that let me flex my character building muscles.

Lath- I know I have recommended it to you one million times, so I will keep my mouth shut on doing that AGAIN, but yeah, as for the developers, I have liked all the Bioware games I've played! (A grand total of three, but that's like. More than I've played from any other company except like, Nintendo bc Pokemon.) and I think they're one of the better ~big names in gaming~ as far as including diversity in more recent games, though they've a ways to go, of course.

Iltu: All in all - alright, still waking up though, and my back is killing me. :( I think I may ask my hubby to bring me the heating pad that we have, as that sometimes helps. How're you?

I love that I try to be ladylike. Think of the old times with corsets and big skirts and flower gardens and curtseying and tea. That's exactly when I mean.

Moonlit- Aw, I hope the heating pad helps! You must be beyond ready for the little one to come.
I was having a fine morning, until a bird flew into the window and hurt it's self. :( I got him in a nice, dark box, so hopefully in an hour he'll be fine. I'm worried though, because he doesn't seem to be in the complete shock that birds that fly into buildings are usually in. I've helped other ones and they have been too stunned to even react to me, but this one was at least lucid enough that he tried to fly away. I don't think his wings are broken, but his legs might not be working right, and one of his eyes looked really red while the other looked brown, so I hope that was just the sunlight and not a sign of head trauma. If he hasn't recovered in an hour I suppose I'll give the vet a call and ask if they know where I should take him. I'm such a sucker for animals, I get so upset when they're hurt.

Iltu: Oh I cannot WAIT for her to come. It's partially helping but not as much as I was hoping it would, darn! I may have to see if a bath would help. *decisions*

That's good, but awww! :( *fingers crossed that he'll be ok* Awww! Yeah, we have a few stickers on our windows we put on when we wash them so that the birds can see that it's not air but something solid. They're not really stickers, but more like those ones that are removable that you can take on and off as many times as you want. That seems to help - some. :)

I thought I was gonna be around more today but. I spent the day keeping an eye on a dying bird and calling vets and wildlife rescues that either didn't answer at all because it's a weekend, or picked up and were super nasty and rude. Smol birb was still alive last I checked and I'm not gonna disturb him again 'til morning, but I doubt he's gonna survive the night. :/ And then I just kind of like. Walked around in the woods for a long time to Calm Down. That was really fun and cathartic, at least!

I don't have high hopes for him, but at least I did all I could. :( That's really smart! I'll have to mention those to my dad. His house has so many windows, there's always birds crashing into them. Usually they're fine after an hour of sitting still being like "HOLY SHIT WTF HAPPEN???" but for some reason this lil guy wasn't so lucky.

Amane- My actual aesthetic is probably like. Idk obnoxious prints and blue lipstick, but elegant gowns and historical fashion is def. my 'if I had money' ideal look

Apparently ppl at vet's offices get irritated at you and tell you to call wildlife services if you try to call to ask what you should do or if they know who to call about it? Like, all you have to do is say, "We're sorry, we don't take wild birds and don't have info on what to do, good luck!" There's no need to snap and get all, "We don't DO THOSE HERE you need to call THE APPROPRIATE PEOPLE BLAH BLAH!" Even though wildlife services in my state LITERALLY SAYS ON ITS WEBSITE to call VETERINARIANS to find out what to do, bc wildlife services in this state doesn't have bird rehabilitation people on staff?? Not that I expect every person that works in a vet's office to know that, and I know that maybe they're busy and there's nothing they could do anyway, but. Maybe don't be a jerk. I literally burst into tears after talking to this one lady, jfc. Don't they work at a veterinary clinic bc they like animals or?

There aren't any wild animal rescule places that have an emergency number to call on the weekends. :(

It's kind of feeling better but not 100%. The massage Danny gave me seemed to have - a tiny bit.
Awww!! :( At least you did all you can do. We also used the stickers to keep us from walking into things - like our sliding glass door. They're really nice!! :D

None that serve my part of the state, at least. :( Poor lil guy. I guess that's how it goes sometimes, but it's still sad.

Hopefully tomorrow it's doing better! Though I guess it's not something you can hope to escape for the time being, huh? :/

I hope that it'll be at least a bit better tomorrow at least. I've got my fingers crossed. I think I somehow tweaked it last night in my sleep and I need to find a way to work it out - my back is never 100% ok especially at this stage in my pregnancy but it isn't normally this bothersome. I'd at least like it to go back to what it normally is like - I can handle that fine.
Running face first into a glass door hurts.. Little miss run around like a mad woman has run into it quite a few times and fallen down backwards - she's fine, more shocked than anything. But those stickers down look at Norah level seems to really help that not happen! :D

When people in the games leave their stuff on the ground and you go pick up those babies because you know pennies add up.

Update on smol birb: he lived through the night, a wildlife rescue called me back, and they got me in touch with a volunteer who rehabilitates birds! My ma and I got him out to her house and she got his leg wrapped, some food in him, and gave him pain meds. She thinks he'll make it, but even if he doesnt, at least hell be somewhere safe, with someone who knows how to care for him and not in so much pain. Tough lil guy! Looks like this tale has a happy ending.

Moonlit- I loved the lady who did the rehabilitation, too. She was so sweet when she was tending to him, calling him 'honey' and such. And she said she keeps them in an incubator at night to keep them warm, unless she takes them up to her room. When I tried to give a donation (because her entire bird rehab program is funded by donations), she wouldn't take it until I assured her I really wanted to donate the money to the cause, and not because I felt like I owed her or wanted to pay her. So he's in good hands!

Good to hear you're doing alright! I'm mostly just tired, myself, definitely going to bed once I catch up on a few messages and such.
