You're probably being paid by marvel to say that. U fiend!!!![insane][:o][gonk] |
Although I'm not much into superheroes and such, I have to say, Marvel, in my opinion, is better than DC.
Plus, he's so over-exposed and he's a grown man who can't get over the death of his parents when he was 8. I can't really pin-point what I hate about Batman that much, but I certainly don't like him. |
Everyone, hey guys how's it going ?! Long time haven't been active wanna know what i miss :) |
ScamTheMan:
Nothing much, mostly me saying how I hate Batman. |
Gasp!!!! She said it again!!!! Ohhhhh the pain

SPOILER[sarcasm][:B] |
lol, he is an acquired taste, got to have a little insanity inside to love a guy walking that close to the edge. personally, I think Batman's kinda cool. not in the movies, they dumb him down and focus on the tech there, but in the comics and most of the animated stuff he's boss, literally. usually saving the day at the last moment using cunning and guile while all the massively overpowered Justice Leaguers are trying to slug it out with an even more overpowered villain. "meanwhile... the caped crusader pulls the plug on the doomsday machine!" that, and the fact that he can take on almost anyone in the DC Universe, even Superman (as illustrated in the original Dark Knight Returns graphic novel). all that being said, as much as I love DC (or Detective Comics), Marvel's characters are more real. not everyone is a billionaire inventor (Tony Stark doesn't count cause, just because) or the last son of an alien race. they're real everyday people with zits, bad breath, and even the occasional gammy leg or two. they argue amongst themselves like real families and they live in real life places (sorry, Doctor Doom, you're not included here). DC just doesn't relate to the everyday person, and maybe that's the pull. maybe they know a thing or two about escapism
|
No, it's his animated self I love , except for the campy sixties show.
|
lol, the sixties Batman series was the best. Mayor Adam West is the only reason I watch Family Guy
|
Everyone, Personally i love Batman as well, always been my favorite superhero. How's it going guys? |
~swings on the Tarzan vine~

Gimzter, How you doing ? :) |
I'm good stuffed full of Turkey and almost finally all unpacked (I just moved into a new apartment December 3rd) ^.^ How are you doing???
|
We're all OK Cept for the batman hating anarchist.
|
A hero who can take one everybody is so Gary-Stu like. Superman should totally be able to beat Batman if they got into a fight. Heck, I can see most of the DC heroes beating Batman except for, maybe, Aquaman... possibly the Flash, but that's it.
As for Ironman, I hate him too. He's a freaking jerk. Been watching the Avengers last night and Ironman just peeved me off. If anything, I'll only watch Batman for Joker... just the Joker... But I like Marvel far better than DC. |
well, he did cheat by getting green arrow to shoot him in the chest with a Kryptonite arrow, then he strapped a nuke to his back and blew him up in the middle of the ocean. but when you're only ability is your smarts, cheating is the only way to go. they make Ironman too Robert Downey Jr-ish in the movies, which is the price of using pre-established celebrities in big budget productions, but in the comics he's far more grittier, though still a jerk. the main problem with converting comic book stories into movies is that heroes are generally boring in their clean cuttedness, so the pressure's put upon making the villains so awesome they steal the show. of course, that doesn't count with anti-heroes like Wolverine, Rorschach or Howard The Duck. pit those guys up against a wet dish cloth and it'd be just as good

lol, 'girlfried' is a bit strong, no matter how many times she calls him "Puddin." lets just say she's someone he doesn't always want to kill
|
Yeah, see, I only really know the Heath Ledger Joker, lol.
I don't really care for DC as it is. |
lol, on a lighter note, I've been playing DC Universe Online, and it awwwwesome! you get to create your own original characters and hone their skills till your either in the Justice League or The Legion Of Doom. the gameplay is amazing and the graphics are out of this world. its soon becoming my new current favourite MMO over StarWars The Old Republic (SWTOR). I would've prefered it to be a Marvel game, but their gameplay mechanics are too complex and their video game storylines are lacking in any autonomy. the Amazing Spiderman and the Xmen Origin games are good examples of that. I've just created a GreenLantern character who can use his ring to encase enemies in light construct base balls then make a baseball bat and knock them right out of the ball park, figuratively speaking. its like watching a movie that in which you can control the outcome. how cool is that. I've also made a Jokeresque character who shoots out a boxing glove on a spring. its a really fun game
|
That does sound cool. I don't know if I'll ever play it, or just not any time soon. Maybe after learning more about the DC Universe then I'll probably consider it.
|
well, if you ever do decide to try it, its a free2play MMO, so it won't cost you anything but memory space on your PC. and you'll get by without knowing anything at all about DC characters or storylines, as everything is explained in a 'story so far' mini cutscene movie at the beginning. they also have it on PlayStation, but I'm an Xbox man, so that options out for me. the fun of the game is really creating your own character, from looks to abilities, then building them up into the hero or villain you want them to be. you don't even have to interact with the bazillion other players you'll see swinging, sprinting or flying by (the flying is soooo cool). unless you want to. its a bit high res, so you may also want to use a launcher, like Raptr or Steam, but is you're rig is good, you won't need one past the additional features those sites offer
|
I might as well get it through steam since I have that anyway, but if I do play, I find it amusing to build a character into a villain for some reason, lol.
When you explained the game, you made it seem like you can create more than one character? Unless you created a new account just to do that. |
