I really like the little crosses on top of the pronged tips of the King's crown. So cute.

I have never played chess for years. Lazy to think of strategy.
It is called a rook? I always thought it is called a castle. :shock:

But yes, the concept of it is supposed to be a castle---more of a tower though.

A safe place for the king to stay in in the line of danger.

Since if we go by warfare, the rook represents the safe house. As the direction is horizontal so anyone who tries to attack the king can't as it's 'hidden' technically between or by a single rook.

Thus the very smart move called 'In Rook'

in Chinese we have. Commander, General, Strategist, Knight, Car, bomb and soldiers. :)

I think the one you have in Chinese is a totally different strategy game but just akin to chess. Though I might be wrong?

It's freakier since you don't know which of your opponents' pieces are what and where.

You need a referee to oversee which pieces are to be removed and say who won.
