I do like her little mothy messengers. And I tried to match them with your faeries, but it's kinda hard to find gold ones, so I did my best. XP

OR SOMETHING. I FAIL! T_T

Well the thing wasn't really the trip.. we just went to the periphery of São Paulo to build for a weekend, but during and afterwards my boss was in town, and he was staying with us, which means everything is always chaotic.

He's a nice guy and all, that wasn't the problem, it's just that we'd work on work stuff all day long, then go have a drink or something, or have meetings with a volunteer.. whatever, just a bunch of stuff, so business.

This Sunduh I'm goin to Santiago for a week for work. Poor Alvaro's going to be all by his lonesome...

Ok I think I'm going to try to think up a dream avi for miss djoy. I haven't really even browsed around the stores, but I think if I have a goal it'll be incentive to post more.

Would it be corny to try to dress her like Ora? Probably... and probably not even possible. Sometimes it's best to let a good thing just be, and not ruin it.

Well, I cannot seem to find the post I made with our pictures in it. T_T

I have looked at my last posts, and i know i did it sometime yesterday, but I can't find it for shit. You can look at my old posts and see if you can find it. It'd be in a thread called "post your pics" or some shit like that. I posted the two pictures of us in Santiago--the one where I'm smiley and you make the ugly face, and vice versa. XP

The garden tours are coming soon, but not until we can get Laz out of the bushes, and not until the weekend is over, because Ian's in town and there's no time for internet. But Monday night, I should be able to start posting for the tour.

Ooh, you're going to Santiago for a week? Well, it'll be like going back home. Awwwww. Poor Alv's gonna miss you!

You should totally sign him up for some online RPing. he can come chat with us on Mene while you're gone! Xd

Yeah, except our old apartment is rented ;p and I have to stay with in-laws, which is FINE, totally fine but not like, my favorite activity.

Are you gonna get paid many more Benjamins?

I don't even want to know how much you'll be paid.. it'll only make me cry. I really need to get a job that allows me to save. Gosh, how grown up we've become.

Hey guys! Deblog!

As unbelievable as it is, our first construction is said and done, with general success abounding. www.maresko.com/gallery for images of the historic event. In general the project is going quite well, as the two best volunteers that we had been sizing up to give further responsibilities agreed to be "jefes de trabajos" which means they'll be in charge of the construction of 20 houses this July. Woohoo!

So work-wise life's dandy. So dandy that I'm not even going to bother getting into the nitty gritty details because well.. I work all the time, so who wants to write about their work in their free time?

Well I no longer roast all day long, which is a relief. It's still sunny and kind of humid. I mean, anyone from Kansas would walk around in flip flops and bermuda shorts, but people here quite clearly distinguish this non-suffocatingly hot weather as 'fall' so whatever. I find it to be quite pleasant. It's stopped tropically storming every other day, that's for sure, although right this very moment it is indeed thunderstorming. But that's ok... the more this city is washed clean the better if you ask me. Although I really shouldn't say that, because for people who live in shacks it's NOT fun when it rains at all.... but no talking about work!

So I'm going to Santiago on Sunday, for ahm.... work. I'll be staying with the in-laws, and working all day during the week. I'm looking forward to the trip but honestly, it's not like I'm 'going home' at all. I mean... Santiago without Alvaro is just kinda... not home at all. So I'm planning on enjoying the trip and perhaps eating some sushi (woohoo!) but poor Alvaro's going to have to survive a week by his lonesome, with his classes and occasional UTPMP responsibilities, but that's about it.

What I'm reaaaaly excited for is going to the US of A for brotherly wedding(s). I don't care when, where, how, or who I just would love to prance around Kansas and Washington. I know, I KNOW, the grass is always greener, but I miss life as I knew it. And woe is thee, but now that I'm grown up I kind of want to be able to have a job that not only pays for my basic needs, but allows me to like... save for the future.
