Yeah, I think i'll be waiting quite a long time for Ngendek to come. Cere isnt' hardly on Gaia at all anymore. T_T Ah well, I'm getting good at waiting.
*sigh* Yeah, it does seem that there's been a lot of disinterest in Gaia B&C as of late. I feel like we should learn from the mistakes there to make B&C better here. Though I'm not quite sure how to do that. Yeah, I am happy that Rhea grew, though I feel like Sy kinda rushed her. I dunno. Maybe it's just me... Anyways, I hope Ti gets to grow sooner than later, but I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed. |
Best I can suggest here is to treat everyone equal. No more special treatment etc for anyone owners or artists. Honestly stricter rules about how breedables is yes fun but needs to be seen as a contractual business need to be layed down.

If a person comes through and RPs, the artist should do the art in a timely fashion. *nods* I feel like there is a contract to B&C already, but I don't think it's enforced enough. |

You do have to wait for me on growings though, but I hope that's not too much of a hardship. I do have a 40-hour-a-week job on top of funtime. Plus, I do love my TV and movies and sometimes they steal me away from Photoshop. :oops: About the TT meta: Man, I would love to find some damn Sylvester motivation, but I think the kid is totally dead to me. I made the mistake of knowing what the end of his story would be before I started, and now it's come to a point where I don't feel like I have to get him there. He's gotten there in my head 900 times since he arrived. It's sad, because I do love him as a secondary character for Brownie, it's just kind of disheartening because he was my first kid (well, second really, but the first one that lasted) and he has his own life too. ICRS n' Siz: You do contribute. I love people who just come out and chat, although I seem to be worse at acknowledging everyone who comes through anymore. I feel like some people feel ignored. I like your style Smerd. ;) For some reason, I think not having RP requirements makes it more enticing to play...at least to me it is. Because you know, Sev's the only character besides Sh'khin that I'm RPing right now. The weight of requirements can be stifiling I think.

Waiting four or six months for growth is nothing compared to a year and a half or whatever it happens to be elsewhere. I understand not wanting to bog down an artist with breedables, sure. Rhea really liked him. :( I -sorta- know the end of Rhea's tale too...at least I know how it's supposed to end up. But I've been playing along with other people's plots and hoping I could intertwine with someone else's stuff too-- to make things more interesting. But I haven't seen half of the owners in the past six months though sadly, so who knows! It makes me sad, because Rhea was my first big contest win and I was so proud and excited to get her. I know umbra will always be there with Ti, but man, I really wanted more RP with Angelus and Silent, among other people. Do you really think people feel ignored? I don't really think so! XP I like contributing there...For some reason your shop is 10x more fun than anywhere else. I think it's the stress-free, laid-back atmosphere that does it. I always feel welcome there, no matter how long it's been since I've posted or RPed. :D I think if you start your shop here, I may just let you go at a character for me and I'll take it from there ... My creativity is a bit sapped, though I'd want my character to have a ridiculous crime. Of course this time you're gonna get paid though! XD |

I feel you on the stifling requirements. If you think about the 'interesting' things that happen over a person's lifetime, most of them can't fill a 50 page book, let alone an involved post every month. I guess RP kids are supposed to be exceptional kids that you're technically writing a story about, but some of them just... aren't. I know, I've made a lot of mine that way on purpose. And even the most interesting kids have lulls in the fun times in their lives. If I ever got the urge to read about some kid with wings or fur or a tail or 18 eyes or horns going to the bathroom or going to school or playing tag or going to the park just because someone else had to fill a requirement, I would bitchslap someone. And that's what it comes down to when you know you have to write something by a certain time. A bunch of meaningless nonsense. But that's just the way I see it and I'll shut up now. heh And I like to draw, so why shouldn't I draw all the time. ME N BREEDABLES ARE A PERFECT FIT YAY |
I hate pointless requirements but I see the need. Espeically with the large age jumps. There needs to be a certain amount of posts showing a character mentally devloping . Even if it''s just learning to read and write better. Not all the kids can be geniuss you know.

Heh. I like characters that I don't have to grow from a baby. LOL I only have one really (Sh'khin) but I like all my guardian characters. Teenagers/adults are way more fun to RP. :D

I have a thin and stupid way to connect them, but in the end I guess it doesn't matter. I can call upon the Menewsha magic or something to explain why three such different kinds of kids would come from the same place. |
