I do believe I shall take a break from doing ridiculously long character sheets and do some more digital painting homework. Don't worry, I'm not including these particular character sheets in my entry. XD These two characters are just completely new and I'm feeling more comfortable thinking about them too much rather than not at all. I've got to start my prompt soon though, or I'll never get it done.

I'm glad the thread title is appealing enough that people come in. XD I don't want people to feel excluded b/c they're not from the Midwest. Because that's NOT what we're all about. XD Oh Monday. Joy. :roll: So Friday night, I come home from dinner & art fair with my stepdad and his new wife right, and there's a door hanger on my door from the police department, telling me to call them and it's got some detective's name on it! :shock: So, I proceed to freak out until this morning, when I can actually call and find out what this is all about. Turns out he was looking for a guy that lived in my apt. in the past. PHEW! I was scared there for a bit!!! |

Nah, I don't want to waste your time. I will say that they're two of the characters from my future shop here, which is why I'm having so much fun fleshing them out. OMFG about the cop thing! That's so rude, leaving it there on a Friday for you to worry about all weekend! I would have had 9 ulcers by now. *pets siz* |

Hey, I'm from the Midwest! I think you knew that, though. xD I need some clothes, man. If that cop was going to leave a note, you'd think he could at least put something on there about what it was about! I don't blame you for freaking out, I totally would have done the same. Then again, I still live at home, so my parents would have been more than a little upset/worried as well. That would not be fun either. This so reminds me of Gaia when it first started. Makes me feel all nostalgic. |
Yeah, the cop thing really freaked me out. I mean, I don't do that many illegal things...And nothing a detective would come after me for, for sure! I'm nothing compared to a murder/kidnapper/drugdealer!

It's so small, and cozy, and damnit, I miss browsing Gaia forums and being able to see the same thread in minishops stay on there for at least five refreshes. xD That hasn't been true in a while, sadly. As soon as you go anywhere, threads fall off the front page. Too fast. Thank god for thread subscriptions, or I'd never be able to find anything. |

Time to move out of Nebraska eh? Where do you plan on going next? I had that same feeling about Kansas when I graduated from college. I moved to Oklahoma, and realized it was -worse- than Kansas. So I managed to get back eventually. And now I'm in Missouri, which still isn't far from where I grew up, considering Kansas City = the city and suburbs for me. XP Yeah, Gaia's becoming too big for my liking. I dunno. It seems they're just interested in making more money. And I realize that making money is important, but I don't think that should be the main focus of the site... :( |
I want to move to Washington or Oregon too. But I hate the thought of having to move again so soon and leave my job. I finally have a job I like, so I'll probably stick around here a bit longer. *nods*

I'm almost graduated from college with a programming degree, so hopefully I can get a job out in that area with it. Since they do a lot of programming stuff there.
I think Gaia's real problem is that it's gotten too big. I can't even imagine what the bandwidth costs are for the site, which is why they need money in the first place. xD I'll still stay on there, I'm way too attached to everything associated with it. Unless everyone and everything I like jumps ship suddenly, I guess. |

Oh yeah, I'd never really quit gaia. I have too many beautiful pixels and B&C kids to give up Gaia entirely. :D

Yeah, programming's a pretty good degree to have. ~*nods*~ Glad I went into it, although I really wanted to do web design. Maybe I can pick up a degree in that after I get a better job. @[email protected]
I love my items too. ;; Some have really nice memories attached to them, like my DJ's or the Angelic Minis. Pixels are great~ Plus, yeah, the B&C kids. I'd never be able to give them up. |

Isn't that fan nice? I'm a huge fan of the fan. ROFL I think programming will get you pretty far. And totally go back and get more education later if you can. The more the better. I need to go to grad school, and I think I want to go for graphic design, but I'm still on the fence. It's between graphic design or media management... Yeah, my pixels are all special to me. XD I just wish I would have donated to the site earlier! I'm trying to quest for DJs now, and I think it's going to be impossible. T_T And yeah, my B&C kids are also quite special. I'm attached to all of them in some way or another, even if I don't show some of them the attention they deserve. I'm only one person though! |

A friend of mine sold bunny slippers and got a bunch of stuff. He gave me the Sept '03, which I sold for Minis and 20k. If that tells you how long ago that was. ~*laugh*~ Chemistry! How interesting. I've always loved science and stuff, but I'm not really dedicated enough to pursue it. Graphic design sounds fun, to me, since I'm only sometimes not fail at doing design things. It's why I haven't updated my website. I can code for it, I just can't design a pretty interface. ;; I wish I would have donated more to the site earlier. xD;; Having more 2004 letters would be really nice. Then again, if I'd joined in Decemeber when the site was first shown to me, I'd be an '03er and probably have even more crap. I do have a lot of old donation items, though. owo |

I used to have Jan and Feb '04s. Kind of makes me sad that I don't anymore. But I do have an OMG, so perhaps that makes up for it? I find that hat to be fug, however.
So, I went to Toys R Us and they didn't have DDR! What a bunch of fools. I have to call Gamestop now, and I really hate it in there. It smells like my old school. Like nerds and unwashed clothes. D: |
