I swear, it's the most heartwarming thing I've ever seen. It truly makes me happier to watch it. I just want to ooh and aah everytime they touch each other through plastic/rubber barriers. :D SOCUTE

I have to say that joining this site did make me appreciated Gaia more. I suddenly felt like the people were nicer here... and Gaia was just overall warmer and more relaxed.

Giggles. I'm new on this site, and I've been on gaia since 04, but I have to say, that statement is incredibly false. The people here are WAY more friendly, warmer, and as long as you follow the rules, relaxed.

Thats mean *hits stupid Gaian's*. Anyway, yay or yapping my own head off.

The only thing about Gaia is they have better avitar base in my opinion and Roleplaying forum (mosts of them are stupid but some of them are really, really, really, good)

Though I really do like this websites GD, and the people are nicer and warmer, and more relaxed.

Menewsha is cool 8).

I like both, though Menewsha is growing on me XD.

I just posted about this show on my LJ. I love it to little tiny bits and pieces and I want it to be out on DVD even though it's only two episodes old. I made my mother watch it last night and she lol'd a bunch of times (which she doesn't do, if you remember her reaction to Death at a Funeral XDD)

It's seriously the best show on network TV right now.

Also, I had no idea there was a tektek/Gaia/Mene controversy until a couple of minutes ago. :lol: Where's my rock? I want to go back under it.

I wasn't going to post in that Gaia thread, because most of it is just inflammatory, but I decided it was about time to give the mods a bit more representation.

So this is what I posted:

I honestly don't mind the criticism that you all are displaying in this thread. I didn't agree with the ad, and it has now been taken down and replaced. Our admin admitted his wrongdoing and fixed it, though of course it's a bit late for that now, obviously.

I have never had a more stressful day of modding on that site than yesterday. I actually HAVE dealt with a TON of spammers and morons that have come from Gaia. But again, I came from Gaia too, but I certainly didn't act like some of these people have. There are always the bad seeds on any site, but I took the time to explain things to each and every one I had to speak to about what they were doing wrong.

If some of you joined, who actually have something to say instead of "GIMME GOLD NOW!" or "I NEED GOLD. LOLZ" maybe I'd be less critical of the people that have come from Gaia. I have seen some intelligent discussion here, but I see hardly any of that from the new users that are coming from Gaia. There are some gems in there, true, but the majority has just caused problems.

As I said on Mene, the site wasn't ready for the tektek ad. I wholeheartedly agree. I don't believe we should be competing with Gaia in any way, shape or form. Advertising for Mene should have been done word-of-mouth and no other way. Our rules are quite different, and that makes new users have a more difficult time, because they're used to Gaia's rules, not our site's rules. Most of the new members never even read the rules, even though many of them have been given links to both the rules and a starter guide to help them learn to earn gold.

I welcome the criticism on our site, and I take into consideration anyone who has some actual constructive criticism to offer. But those people who just flame the crap out of Menewsha will have their threads deleted, as flaming is not allowed, just like it isn't allowed here. If you want to offer criticism, do it in a professional, adult manner.

I've been a Gaia member since '03, and I have my loyalties to Gaia as well. I love this site, and I'll never leave it, but when I joined Mene, I was bored of Gaia. This place seems to be a pit everywhere else but my 'home forum' B&C, where I seem to find actual people my age who have something to say rather than just bump and post emotes all day. BUT AGAIN, JUST MY OPINION.

I feel like I've said my piece, and I'm curious if anyone will flame me for it. I wouldn't be surprised, but I sure would like to have some real conversation rather than people just saying the ad was a low-blow. :?
