you'll get better ... i got all the way up to 72 last night on descender ... when i started i could barely get past 20

I'm hopeless at descender, i tried it again last week and must have hit the wrong number by accident because i dies with 11 points :lol: :roll:

i get very bored with it very swiftly though, but we will get more games! hopefully ones that aren't quite as simplistic as descender and will hold my attention better :oops:

@ jelly - yea that's one of the features about zan i like they have about 5 different games to choose from .. all very simple. of course that means donation item prices are thru the roof over there.

Welcome Jessi!! Glad you gave in and joined, if only to try it out! The longer your posts, the more gold you earn, and there doesn't seem to be a time limit between posts, but it's hard to think of stuff to say sometimes..

I'm not really motivated to post a lot and earn gold though as I'm happy with my simplistic/half-naked avi. :lol: And I simply enjoy chatting with you all when I get the chance.

EDITS so I don't double-post.. That's what else I was going to say! Jelly, not doing well on Descender may have to do with what mouse you're using. I can't fish or play descender or even a lot of neopets games if I use a mouse other than the one I'm used to!

I didn't know about double posting either. I've been guilty of that too.

I suck at Decender no matter what computer/mouse I use. I have made it to 51 I think but no farther. I am rather jealous of all of you who make it so far.

I can get to about 60ish on Descender, but then I usually get a thumb cramp and double click and lose! lol It's still the best way for me to make money on here. And I don't have to venture out of the Purkle thread. XD

Getting into the 50's is pretty good! Anything above that is all pretty much the same skill and pretty much luck whether or not you misclick.

I wish they would reset the 3-times a day thing at midnight like on neo rather than by how long it's been, like the shrine and maraqua fishing.

Actually the 50s isn't very good. It's not hard to count backwards. I just don't have the ability to count fast enough I guess. My hands just don't move that fast which surprises me with my typing abilities

I can usually only make it to 51 on Descender. I've made it to 54 a couple of times but I always get mixed up and click the wrong number or I don't find the number fast enough and I run out of time. It really sucks when I'm down to the last 2 clicks and run out of time :evil:

Gods! I've only just made it to 20 on Decender. Once I get the internet turned on at my apartment, I'm going to see if there's a difference between using the mouse at work and the mousepad on my laptop at home. I'm just too slow moving around and I run out of time!

Has the payout changed for Descender or is it just me? I thought that it used to be if you got let's say 666 or something that you would get roughly 66 gold. Now it seems that you barely get 20 something for that kind of score. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

I've noticed that as well - I don't think the payout is as high as it used to be.

yea it used to be 1/10th of what your score is, now I think it's like 1/15th

i can see Descender maybe being shut down for a while anyway.

People on that skuzzy site gaminggutter have worked out a hack for it and have been stealing gold by the bucket load so i wouldn't be suprised if it isn't disabled until more security features can be worked out for it :evil:

The double posting thing is more to discourage spammers..you know the sort..

I'm really looking forward to having more games to play on here, it hopefully wont be long before we have a new one to amuse ourselves with...i've had a play already and it's fun! and with the summer holidays on the horizon the site will be busier, so getting a new game out will be a priority i hope!

if any of you have taken a peek in the new Community Discussion forum you might have noticed the summer event thread in there. That's taking place on the 28th July through to 4th August, i'm helping to organise that, going to do treasure hunts like the ones we have on the couch, with donation items as prizes, been trying to think up other things we could do, but not had any luck so far.
This is a purely user run event, the brain child of our newest Mod, and my friend Dare :) hopefully it's going to be a lot of fun! If anyone's got any spiffy ideas for events/contests do hope over and suggest them! we'd be most appreciative 8)

I'm hopefully going to get some graphics software soon! i want to learn to pixel things! i had a look on the GIMP website earlier, because their software is free, but it might as well have been in a foreign language so i shall wait for the disk that my friend is sending me a copy of..he swears it's easy to use! I'll believe that when i see it! :roll: i'd love to be able to make my own cute little things though, instead of trawling through websites looking for them..

Yeeesh, what outfit is that for 3.5k? The skirt is only 250g! I bought the bra too, but I don't like how it looks compared to the plain white one, so if you (or any other purkle) is needing that, please consider buying from me instead of the main shop (150g.) ;)

Yeah, Josh put some safeguards in place, but it's the same as anything. Crooks will always find a way around security measures, whether it's pixel stealing teens, or adult credit card fraudsters and so on..i wonder if that's where some people start out..people who rob banks got their practice in robbing websites of virtual currency.. :|

oh and i meant to say yesterday but forgot :roll: there is flood control for posting, you may not have noticed it before because it was a very low time, but it's been increased now because of spamming threats..but it's still not terrible, it only effects me when i want to edit a typo :roll:

My planned new outfit is only so expensive because it incorparates the pink Lolita corset top :( all the other items are fairly reasonable..oh well! It is only the top that i need the gold for now..maybe i can find lots to talk about today!
I often find now that i spend more time prowling around, and less time chatting, so often my gold earning is a lot less than it used to be. It all depends on how active the spammers/bots are!
Plus how much is going on in the staff room, because we don't earn anything for posting in there..

I am not very good at descender, but I do better when I don't use the mouse. I have a graphics tablet, and I do SO much better when I use that instead of my mouse. I haven't played it in a while, 'cause I need two hands to use the tablet and most of the time, someone seems to be hogging one of my arms, along with a hand. 8)

I finally picked out a "first outfit", but I'm REALLY wanting the Emerald Lolita dress--am I the only one that thinks it looks kinda like Ren Faire Garb?

Maybe Renaissance clothing will appear on this site at some point anyway..a lot of people have requseted period clothing..

Jessi have you found the avatar creator yet? you have to download it yourself, which of course you wont want to be doing at work but once you're home..it's a user created program, but it works well, i love playing on it, now i've reminded myself about it i want to go and play dress up right now! :lol:
