I wouldn't say you were born in the wrong era, you just know how to appreciate the antiques, etc and see the beauty in things others can't.

maybe, i really don't like modern things though, my idea of hell would be one of those minimalist homes where everything is white with plastic molded furniture and chrome and glass everywhere. I like a bit of clutter and homeliness and comfort 8)

I'm the same way, Jelly. I think houses should have warmth to them. In fact, the house we're moving to is real white and sterile...it may take me a long time, but that house is getting color in it, I swear!

I also put a lot of importance on color and comfort on my home. Maybe it's because I grew up in an extremely old house, and alot of the furniture in it is antique (well, it would be if it wasn't so worn out!). And the rest of it is second or third hand.

I like nice rich woods and cushiony furniture to that plastic and chrome crap too, and plan on my future home being full of it.

I will say though that, as much as I like second-hand books, I rarely buy them anymore because I like my books almost pristine--so many people beat their books to death or don't care of them at all. If my books are going to get worn out, I want to be the one to do it. :D

I think a lot of time it's men who like the minimal look, they see it as minimal cleaning :lol: plus they often don't have much idea about home styling anyway, apart from pictures of naked women on the walls..

I love it all! The halo is my least favorite of the items, but I really like the Zodiac set, I have some great ideas for it after i get tired of playing "Lady Justice"

Thanks Jaz! I saw the scales and realized that I could do it...VERY cool.

I couldn't get the scales to show up when i was playing with the items earlier..i like the fluffy cloud slippers the best out of all the items though, those are so cute and comfy looking!

I like them pretty much. I was happy when I saw the pretty fishes in the zodiac set because they go so nicely with the mermaid tail. But I also like how many choices there are - can create some cool looks, I think. The halo works for me too because I like accesorizing in silver.

Well, the dreaded leak is not going to cost me $300-$400. That'd be too easy! Nope, they have to tunnel next week and the new estimate is $1700. I keep telling myself it's only money and that it's necessary because we've sold our house! But argh!

I like the new Gaia DIs, but I don't think I want to donate for any of them. I might just get one letter, I'm not sure yet. I think the halo is my favorite because it's silver. I love silver stuff. :) But, I do like the cloud stuff too. It's so hard to decide!!

Afternoon purkles! Just thought I would run in and say hi since I haven't been here much lately (haven't been anywhere much lately). I've been doing some playing in Photoshop learning how to vexel. My first one was horrible but this other one is coming along nicely. I'm very pleased :)
