Hopefully at that time of the year it won't be too hot over there either. How totally fantastic to get something like that as a freebie! the flight itself is going to be a treat with it being first class, I'm so jealous! I've no idea if any Purkles are in Sydney though, i know Faebellamum is nowhere near there and that's the extent of my knowledge :roll: |
I know Lisa and Noisynix are there to but I believe Lisa is in Tasmania which is about 4 hours or more away. Not sure where noisy is.
The flight takes 20 hours. We first stop in Bali which I believe is in Indonesia and then go to Sidney. I am excited. I've never been on a plane before though so we are going to go to Atlantic City sometime before hand so I can experience a plane ride. |
Flying's great, though the hanging around beforehand is tedious. And depending on current sercurity levels you often can't even take a book or anything onboard with you.
But first class travel will be very comfortable, with room to walk about, and everyone should experience getting to look out of a window onto a sea of sun-washed clouds at least once in their lives. Bali! I wondered where your stop off would be, from the Uk to Australia it's usually Singapore. That will be a mini adventure too then! |

Jelly - no book? Seriously? I don't know what I'd do on such a long flight with no book! Jaz - Oh man, I wish I had gotten into it earlier! I think it always came on when I couldn't watch it, though, for whatever reason, so I never got into it. But the past several months, have gotten hooked on catching up on old shows and I finally found some Lost episodes. |

Jaz - Absolutely I watch Heroes! I've actually been able to catch that on TV. That's the one show my husband and I try not to miss. I kept hearing, "If you like Heroes, you'll love Lost!" so I've been determined to find it and yay! I found my episode 9! Watched it yesterday. But yeah, Heroes is great...Noah Bennett's my favorite character! Ever since the hostage episode in which he was so sweet with trying to save Claire. I had always been intrigued by him before, but that cemented it when you really learned what he was all about!
I miss Descender too...hope they get new games soon, though I've been having fun putting more emphasis on posting again. It's easy to sometimes put more into the games and not as much into the forums. Well, the leak is fixed, the cat is fine, and we're moving in a week! WOOHOO! |

I'm just in a more antisocial mood lately so i haven't been posting anywhere much (except in purkleland of course) I think my favorite Hero is Hiro ^_^ He's so flipping ADORABLE!!! And George Takei is his dad! SULU!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!?! (sorry...got excited there) |
I tried really hard to get into Heros but I missed like the first 3 or 4 episodes and was completely lost.

You can find just about any TV series online, various places! I'm watching Lost now, have watched the first seasons of House and Grey's Anatomy and am catching up on Season 2 of both those shows - I'm trying to be caught up for when the new seasons start so I can start picking them up on TV. Oh yeah - I finished Season 1 of 24 too...got a bunch more to go to catch up there! (Like I really need to watch more TV! I actually like watching it on the computer more than the actual TV because I can do other things like play in Photoshop or whatever while I'm watching.)
Hiro is adorable! I just hope they have Ando back because he was one of the reasons Hiro was so funny. I liked when they met Future Hiro and Ando was like, "Go talk to yourself" and Hiro answered, "But I scare me!" lol. And yeah! We got a kick out of Sulu being his dad. I swear, one of the Japanese guys on horseback in the 1600s looks like Sulu. Did you notice that? With Lost, I like Sayid and Hurley, how he always says, "Dude!" And Kate, of course. |

Sawyer is my newest howtness on the show cuz I love how his character has developed (which you'll see in time) but Sayid is dreamy ^_^ they totally need to bring Ando back I agree... and I didn't notice the Sulu on horseback :-( see...i prefer watching stuff on TV cuz I can crochet at the same time ... same kinda reason as you prefer watching online hehehe |

Well - I have a TV but I don't watch it - no cable and there is an antenna hooked up so I can get WHYY/ PBS. I saw an episode of Hero at my parents and it seemed really interesting - I like to put in a movie and crochet on quiet nights - I guess that works along the same lines as TV. :) |

I watch way too much TV i fully admit that. i had some friends that grew up in a house with no TV when we were in high school. I couldn't fathom how they lived without it. It worked well for them tho. All 3 of them (brothers) were extremely musical and creative. funny thing is, the middle one now is all about movies and TV and has a HUGE TV in his basement ^_^ |
I don't watch that much tv, though sometimes i like to have it on in the background when i'm online, thought with only 5 channels to choose from there's often nothing on that i want to watch!
I like the US dramas and crime shows though. Just watched House and Shark is on at the moment. NCIS and Killer Instinct tomorrow. CSI and Law and Order on Saturday. I find packing up to move tiresome in the extreme :roll: But the relief of getting settled into your new home makes up for that. And i still haven't got any further with learning to crochet! I haven't even loaded up the ones i've been sent yet..chewed my nails because they didn't arrive straight away and now they're just sat there :oops: |
