*huggles Aliena* I am doing good. Just busy and all. Had to really concentrate on work lately, so it really limited what I could do with my free time. But I am good. And the wife and baby are fine too. Lily has two teeth now (which she usually decides to test on my finger when I am not looking) and she is trying to walk. Dear stars and garters, help me. And how are you? What have you been up to?

That's so cute. I love the two-teeth stage - they always look so cute like that. How old is Lily again? Lauren didn't walk til 14 months. She liked to take her time in reaching her motor milestones. It's actually not that bad when they start walking - the nice thing is, too, when you're out in public, you can have them walk with you rather than carry them everywhere. I love carrying my little girl, but sometimes it's nice to have my arms free. As for me, just having fun here on Mene, working on some art commissions, and I'm moving at the end of the week, so lately I've been packing a whole lot. I can't believe how fast the last 2 weeks have flown by! I hope you do start popping in here more again. :) |

Hey Everybody! How is everyone's weekend gone so far?
The weekends seem to go by too fast for me, and it doesn't seem like I get enough done that needs to get done before I have to go back to work on Monday. Blah, and this computer is pissing me off :evil: I've tried to redownload Mozilla a couple times, and it keeps stopping and saying that the file is corrupted. I don't think it has anything to do with Mozilla, it's just my computer being a butthead. And I was wanting to sell off most of the stuff I've foraged on Zantarni. |
Hey Deniece! Sorry your computer's being ornery! My weekend's been good...packed a bunch, spent some time with friends, had fun with the baby, it's been pouring the last three days and I just love that kind of weather...
Right now, I'm in my art room and I have the monitor on and apparently my husband is letting the baby stay up past her bedtime. He's introducing her to Gershwin and a little Rhapsody in Blue! She's mainly a Mama's girl most of the day, but night/bedtime is his special time with her. So I don't mind her staying up later one bit, if she gets to sit with him like that. It's cute to listen to through the monitor (his office is right next to her room, so it's picking up). |

Just wandering through. It's been a pretty busy weekend around here. We went and saw Surf's Up on Saturday. It was cute. The kids really enjoyed it. Today my daughter left for camp. She will be gone for a week without a computer or her iPod. I miss her already :( Her brother and I are going to make smores on the stove. He's already got all of the ingredients on the counter ready to go. @SV: Hey! Nice to see you back again! The two teeth stage is one of the cutest. Once she gets walking she'll be unstoppable. I loved it when my kids hit this stage. Granted they got in to everything because suddenly things were more accessible but the curiosity they have is fantastic. @Lillim: That is a very cool drawing :) I'm trying to learn how to vexel. It's slow going but I'm getting there I think. @Aliena: Wow, has it been two weeks already? That's so cute that the baby is sitting with Daddy listening to classical. We did that with mine a little bit although I can only handle it in small doses. I have to be in the mood for that type of music. When the kids were younger I would put on some music while cleaning the house and they would dance and "help" me. My son still does but my daughter, ugh! I don't know what to do with that one. @Deniece: I'm sorry your computer is giving you fits. :( My daughter installed Limewire on the other computer and somehow downloaded a little virus to it. Nothing serious, just annoying. Now I have to take the time to clean it off. @jelly: I can't imagine carrying my kids around when they were five. I used to have one of those carry things that strapped over your shoulders and Jordan would ride in it when he was a baby. My shoulders ached by the time we got anywhere. |

Or do you think she'll take a while to get back into her gadgets? I think sometimes it's quite a shock for kids to realise that they can actually survive without all the electronics they swear that they NEED 8) |

I got my schedule changed for at least three days this week! I'm so excited to be off that awful shift from before. WooHoo! I think my daughter will be glued to the pc. Her world might end if she doesn't have myspace ya know ;) It is bad enough that the camp that she went to is a church camp. She went because her friend really wanted her to go and I was like "Ok, but it's church camp and there are things that you have to do that you won't have any idea about." We are not part of this religion but I thought it would be a good experience for her. Anyway, along with no electronic gadgets, she has to wear a one piece bathing suit (which won't kill her) and no meat for a week. We packed beef jerky for her so she won't die. She hates tofu. :lol: |

I used to cook burgers for my ex, he was such a piggy about them! I'd get a giant bread roll, those ones that are about the size of a side plate, cook 2 flame grilled quarter pounders and put them on the bottom layer, with one cut in half so they covered all the bread nicely, 3 slices of cheese, then 5 rashers of bacon, top that with 4 breaded onion rings then a load of ketchup on top. Damn thing would be about 4 inches high. He'd make a right mess eating it too :roll: Bet he misses my cooking :lol: I'd made him one of these burgers one day when his best friend arrived at the door, his eyes nearly popped out when he saw it, but my ex wouldn't share it with him http://i19.tinypic.com/4ptgjkp.gif |
