My roommate used to work at our no kill shelter and it's definately hard but it's great to see animals that have been there for years get adopted.

I have 2 cats of my own and my roommate has a black lab and a cat of her own so we have a zoo.

Hey girls. I'm in for the afternoon in between getting work done (it never ends, does it?). It's been a rough weekend and a rough morning, but I'm gonna play with my Purkles and put a smile back on my face. :)

Wow, those Maine Coons look nothing like the ones we have over here :lol: I guess the breeds look quite different in different parts of the world, I know the Birmans we have here in Scandinavia look quite different from the US ones as well 8)

I grew up in a veritable zoo - at one point we had 3 cats (all adopted from a local shelter) a dog a bird and iguana and some fish.

Now I have no pets at all - no time or money for them - but sometimes I really miss having a cat.

I would love to have a cat or dog, but I don't have the time for a dog right now, and am not technically allowed pets in my apartment. I have however inherited my mom's guinea pig that she's allergic to. Not happy about it, but it's better than bringing him to a petstore for adoption by who know what kind of person.

I would really like to have a dog again sometimes - but I know that with both of us working and taking classes and everything else we do it would not be fair at all to the dog. The poor creature would spend more time home alone than with us - so even though I want one I'm probably never going to have one again.

My boyfriend is really good at being busy all the time and I think it has started to rub off on me. :lol:

I've decided i want a chinchilla! or something. something cute and furry, but that's kept in a cage so it's under control when i'm out.

Chins are just unbelievably cute though, and they can live for 20 years!

I would love to have a sugar glider. I've seen them being sold at a flea market in Tennessee, but they are so expensive, but so so so adorable.

I'm a big animal fan.... I want to take them all in, and then I go broke trying to feed them all. I just can't stand for any of them to not be taken care of.

Someone posted some pics of sugar gliders..can't remember who it was now, they are adorable though aren't they?
Thing is these fluffy, cute things all come with lots of sharp teeth too

I love all the fluffies! And I'm in the same boat as you Sia--I'm never home so it would be too unfair to have a dog.

Since we're on the subject of animals I just have to share a photo of what might be my new baby :P Nothing is certain yet, the breeder is still deciding whether to sell or keep, but if she does sell this little girl will be moving in here in September (and become Rino's new girlfriend when she's a little older :lol:)

Her name is Hoodwinked and she's 3 weeks old in the photo :D
