  • I want an awesome iMac! D:

right now all I have is an awesome Mac mini and an awesome iBook! >.<
which is fine, but I want to do one better D:

interesting mac mini story -

My friend works at a music lesson place - someone broke into their studio and stole the monitor, printer, and other stuff - but left the mini mac!!!

The only thing we can figure is that they didn't realize it was a computer.

poet`s playground 03-22-2007 02:46 AM

-rofl-

That's really funny... and convenient .

Kaenai 03-22-2007 02:55 AM

  • lol -- yeah, it is really tiny! xD
i've got friends who stop by and think it's just a CD drive! :D

EDIT :: Yeah, I've got an old G4 PowerMac, but I'm gonna give it to my kids. That way they can leave my stuff alone xD

Chimama 03-22-2007 04:10 AM

I wish the times were something I could relate to. It has something something AM so I am totally lost... eh, time for some rest I suppose. I have a Stew to help Sophie with still :P gotten up to almost 340, but I am running out of time :(

poet`s playground 03-22-2007 04:11 AM

It looks like I am seeing a time 15 hours ahead of mine, okay, now to memorize that :P

poet`s playground 03-22-2007 04:14 AM

Oh, I see. Well you can go to "profile" and change the time to your time zone.

Mama Juru 03-22-2007 04:21 AM

Wow ya'll have been talkative while I was away. :)

I lurk as well and really only spout off when I get irritated or angry. Then suddenly I have a lot to say.

My friend has four little chis and her daughter has two. I've only been around them a couple of times and at first they were really shy but then they started getting a little braver. My aunt had a mini chi called Nutmeg. It was her baby. No one could get near her or you would have this pea sized mouth of terror latched on to your leg.

I don't have an iMac or any mac for that matter. I have two of them at work if I want to remote in to them but the other five computers I have access to seem to do me ok. The only thing Apple I have at the moment are iPods. I love mine. I can't be without it.

Wheeeeeeeee, thanks, I figured out how I ended up 15 hours off as well, instead of GMT off by eight hours, I went the wrong way AND forgot the whole DST starting early this year fiasco....

Sounds like your friend's family has become fond of the little guys. I never thought about them until I had a chance to get to know my husband's birthday present, Frankie. I was always a cat person, but I have horrible debilitating allergies anymore, and cannot be in the same room with them, so you *could* say Chis gave me back my pet = love connection. I have even tried explaining that to Lass a few times, but she seems to enjoy insulting my choice of pet, even though they really never were my choice until Frankie won my heart Without these guys I would be a sick and lonely old lady, instead of just the sick and old part :P

Mama Juru 03-22-2007 06:25 AM

I miss having a pet. The last one we had was over 20 years old and finally got to the point where she just couldn't function anymore. This was last year. My mom and son are like you. They are so allergic to cats but they love love love them. We've always had cats that I can remember. I would like to get a dog. Everyone in my neighborhood has a dog but us. We have a fenced backyard with plenty of space and there are other dogs nearby that it could bark at and socialize with.

The neighbor has the cutest little labrador puppy but it is very skittish. It looks happy though and it wags it's little tail when it sees you but since it doesn't know us it runs off to the other side of its yard and barks. They have some form of mop dog too. It just lays on the porch in the shade. I would too if I had all that hair and it was 100 degrees out. :)

magikjaz 03-22-2007 06:55 AM

i don't know what I would do without my 2 little kitty cats around me all day. Even tho they pretend they don't love me I know they do.

We just had our little one spayed on Monday so she's trying to adjust.

as I'm sitting here typing my neighbor's cat just walked up to the sliding glass doors to the deck. They really burn my butt with keeping their cat outside at night. It's cold out there!!!

Mama Juru 03-22-2007 06:59 AM

We used to have neighbors like that. The saddest thing I think I ever saw was one Halloween the kids and I carved pumpkins and we had them outside with the candles lit for the trick or treaters and at that time the neighbors had these two little yellow kittens. I don't know if they didn't want them or what the story was with that (I avoided those neighbors. Weird....) but they were both curled up in front of the pumpkin trying to get warm. It made me cry so I went and got a bunch of old towels and a little box and made them a warm spot. They used it too.

Unfortunately the little kittens disappeared. We live in a very small down that borders the desert so there is no telling but I'd like to think that someone gave them a home and loved them.

morquarwen 03-22-2007 12:47 PM

*yawns* morning everyone!! Its going to be a beautiful day today, its already 58 degrees and the sun is shining :D I dont think this will last though :( Shame too, Im sick of the cold weather.

GigglyBipper 03-22-2007 01:03 PM

Just beginning to thunderstorm here.. and I have to run. Got a doctor appointment. Hope I don't drown, it sounds like it is really coming down!

I think I'll take my rubber duck with me...

siaasgn 03-22-2007 01:06 PM

I know - it's supposed to get up to 65 here today - I'm excited - but it might rain :(

I know the rain is good - but it's so miserable trying to get around campus when it's raining. The one block leading up to my building is like a wind tunnel so you get wet almost no matter where you have your umbrella.

Broken Rose 03-22-2007 01:30 PM

Well... look who I found. So this is where ya'll ran off to!! I leave for a day and ya'll fill up 25 pages! *gasp* Talketive bunch aren't we

Lass 03-22-2007 01:41 PM

Ahhhh but Lizzy - you know me :P I love all animals - just prefer some to others, but if a CHI was dumped on me, I'm sure I would love it too :P

Yup Ms Rose - We chat, chat, chat :P

Did you read through the thread? If not I have a RP thread :D Come and make a room or jump into an already established one. Its set up for new RP's and old alike :D Make it what you want to. :P

Its still FREEZING cold herre!! Brrrrrr!! :: Tucks up under the duvet on the couch ::

Oh, Looks like Max thinks its cold too :P He's coming under the duet with me! Lol. (Max is my cat :P )

Broken Rose 03-22-2007 01:48 PM

I'll run over to the RP forum here in a minute and see what you've got going on there. I'm trying to keep myself up for when we have to leave for the doctor.

Has anyone thought of starting a quest thread? I want to but I haven't even looked at the shops to see what I'd like to have  I do want a crown though... that's really the only thing I'm aware of at this point :P

Lass 03-22-2007 02:01 PM

I thought that the best way to quest is to put your quest in your siggie.

As bumping isn't allowed I'm not sure how a quest thread would work :P

I think the best thing to do is set up a debate thread, and get yourself chatting lots on a topic. Alternatively - RP. :) You can make lots of long descriptive posts - making you lots of cash :D
