I didn't do the purkle places one either and I've not done the halloween or christmas ones for a couple years. I just don't have the funds to do it anymore. Vicky (sarianastar) did the Halloween exchanges and she's not been active for some time and has stepped down from counsel. Mo did the Christmas one and she's not been active either. Bippy does the Valentine one.

Jurupa, I hear LBH on PS talking of Earl Gray Tea all the time. I am curious as to how it tastes.

Earl Grey had a nice flavour, you drink it black with a bit of sugar of you take it, but you don't brew it for long.
It's flavoured with bergamot oil which makes it very frangrant. It's very refreshing in hot weather

*runs in* Hiya everyone!!!

I like that new commercial they have for the cold brewed Earl Grey tea with the older gentleman that gets up and wants to fight the kid for insulting the queen but doesn't. Then you hear his wife in the background telling him to knock the kid's knickers off anyway. It always makes me giggle.

I am a big tea fan, myself. I just drink regular tea with half and half and sugar when I need a bit of relaxing. When I was younger I had two elderly aunts that lived together and they'd always make me tea with a Stella Dora breakfast treat, so it brings back those memories, too. I used to drink a lot of coffee when I was in my late teens/early 20s, but now the caffeine makes me all wonky. I still love the taste though. I should investigate some good decafs.

jelly, it wasn't me who sent the chai. Sorry... I have yet to even try chai! But I hear it is absolutely delicious.

I have a lot of chores to do today. *sigh*

Mm . . Chai is wonderful - especially if you brew it in milk with lots of sugar.

Earl Grey is yummy - I usually drink my tea black but I put a little sugar in my earl.

I'm a big fan of Darjeeling as well.

My boyfriend likes Kombucha and I still like a nice cup of Irish Breakfast Tea in the winter.

We have a whole cabinet full of different teas in my house- it's kind of overwhelming for some people when we offer them a cup of tea.

There was a show on last night about tea on the Food Network. I should have paid closer attention. I was just thinking back to my experience with tea, and suddenly remembered that my mom's partner used to buy all different varieties... Peppermint, Sleepy Time, etc. I used to drink a bit of Sleepy Time before I went to bed with some honey on occasion. That's a really nice one, too.

hmmm, maybe it was Deniece who sent to Chai then...i shall remember eventually!

i can't drink coffee either, not real coffee anyway, my head span for 2 hours the last time i had some.. maybe because i drink it black, if i had a cappaccino the milk would line my stomach and might protect me from the caffeinne for a while

Yessss, jelly. Drinking black coffee is only good for one thing in my book and I shan't mention it here on this board. Pffft.

hehehe

I used to drink heaps of cappucino. Hazlenut, Irish Cream, both hot and frozen. Mmmm...

Ahh, yes. I can't drink tea either without some cream and some sugar, unless it's a tea that will only work with honey. And might as well forget the lemon unless it's iced. Pffft.

I am having all sorts of food cravings as of late. I wonder if I'm preg....... yeah right. hahaha

As I always say, not unless it's the 2nd coming and I doubt God would have chosen me of all people! ahahah

*glomps everyone*

mmmmm tea!!!

jelly - it was luckycharm that sent the chai

and fruit - orange picoe (sp?) is just regular tea here in the states. I personally don't care for it much unless it's got honey in it.

I personally think tea should be a clear thing...except chai ... I almost NEVEr put creamer in my teas.

my fave is jasmine (of course) or oolong (the stuff you usually get in chinese restaurants)

Chai without milk?!?!?! Inconceivable!!!!

We picked up some peppermint tea - it's lovely - we brew it and add some honey and the ice it - soo soothing when it's really hot out. Sleepytime is OK - but I've gotten more into loose leaf teas lately

ohh. . Jasmine is such a nice tea . .

Oooh, so if orange picoe is regular tea here in the states, yes I like it very much indeed with cream and 1 packet of Sweet-n-Low.

*nods* I always have a cup or two after dinner when I go to my dad's girlfriend's house.

sia - I am very interested in learning more about loose leaf teas.

And jasmine sounds yummy. I just don't like jasmine rice, though.

Jasmine tea is nice, slightly earthy but not as much as green tea, really nice after a meal

Luckycharm!! of course it was!

i love peppermint tea, during the winter, i make up a flask of it and have it sat by me during the day, it's fabulous for stomach aches and indigestion too.

Has anyone tried Redbush/Rooibus? i really like that too, it's another herbal one that doesn't actually have any tea in it at all.

You should try and find a tea house near you and just start working your way through their teas :)

That's what I did - and that is how I discovered Blue Lady and the amazing Mate Carnival . . . .

My boyfriend likes the redbush teas - I was not a fan when I tried it

edit: i wonder if we have a tea house near us!!! I'm gonna have to check it out! google here I come!

hehe - for hangovers I turn to Vitamin Water- revive. Sometimes I'll have weak cytomax (some sport drink thing) - they both have lots of vitamins that make me feel better :)

But peppermint tea is great for an upset tummy.

Mmmm the grape Vitamin Water is super delish!

I was watching a few shows on pomegranates last night and thought of you, Jazzy. A few years ago, someone made me a cocktail using pomegranate juice and it was super good. Such an odd fruit, though.
