I'm sure a quest thread would work similar to umm... let's say... what we've got here. I guess. Since that's right... we're not allowed to bump. So I guess a siggy quest would work just as good. As far as RP... I think I'll just talk in here... I'm horrible with RPing. :?

Ohh.. speaking of siggy quests... I have this thing where I can make signature bars... I know you've seen them. I bet those would be cool to show off a quest in your siggy. I might make one to see how it looks :)

Mornin' Lucky!

Good morning everyone. I've been swamped here at work today so far so I don't know how much I will be popping in until I get home.

I still need to come up with something for my room Lass

You could always make yourself comfy in one of the established rooms until you know what kind of room you want to start... :D

that's true - you could come read a book, or play in the forest, or have some cake in Lass's room. ;)

Rose - The thread I have set up is exactly right for you :P Everyone in there is a beginner player. :D And I've seen you play with your berry ;) You are quite good at it. :P

Rue - hit me up whenever you want to brainstorm about your room and character. :)

That goes for everyone. If you want some help getting a character or room going - I'll set up a thread in the OOC forum to brainstorm on. :D Better to do it publicly rather than in IM as IM's don't get you gold. :P

But if you would rather go over things in IM - get me on YIM or here, Neo, Gaia, Subeta

Well the thread has been set up :D

Anyone wanting any help please feel free to go and post there. Its entirely for RP development so no need to post in character :D Its all OOC chat :)

http://www.menewsha.com/viewtopic.php?t=3504

Feel free to go there for any help you want or need :D

I will Lass. I just don't have the time right now. I really would much rather be home than here today.

this thread has moved on a lot since i went to bed last night!

there are threads in the main forum where i posted yesterday that haven't moved though, i still can't get used to how small this place is, like one big guild rather than an entire site 8)

i'm assuming that quest threads will work exactly the same as threads here, just another place to chat, i rather like the fact that there's no bumping on here, on Gaia it got to be too much of a habit when you got consistent gold for posting, so easy to bump and not talk, over here we learn the art of conversation again :D

I totally agree with that Jelly.

Everyone just sort of gets lazy on gaia in that regard I think. Especially during the events.

I replied to the Anne Rice thread you posted in in the Books section... had fun expounding on my favorite Anne Rice books and ended up with 20 gold from the post!

i've just had a look through the members list, i'm #1430, we all signed up within a couple of pages of each other 8)

Lizzy do you still have Georgey? i too really miss having pets, i have my fish but you can't cuddle them! i'd love to be able to have dogs again, even if you seem to end up following them around with the vacuum cleaner at certain times of the year  i used to be allergic to dogs, but now it's only cats that bring on the hayfever symptoms, odd that isn't it?

gosh it's cold! we've been so spoilt with mild weather throughout the winter that now it's got a bit colder i just can't get warm! having said that, i've just checked the thermometer, and it's only 60 degrees in here, even though the heater's been on for nearly 2 hours now BRRRRR

has anyone noticed if there's a time limit between posts on here? i haven't come across one yet, but i thought i'd ask..

Lizzy when i posted in that thread, i found i couldn't remember the titles of most of the Anne Rice books that i've read

Actually that 's a regular problem for me, i can tell you bits of the story and so on, but ask me a title and i'm lost, not much help when i'm scanning titles for ones i haven't read before

Its good that way :D

If you get yourself typing on a topic then when you finally submit the post you discover that you have said LOTS! Therefore you end up with 20 gold for the post. :D

I'm wanting to sell these trousers - I don't think they look as good as I had hoped. :( I've posted on the marketplace forum, but just to let you all know if you are interested. :D

I think I'm going to try and get a dress or a skirt :D They look really elegant and pretty :D

Yesterday was not too hot and we actually had rain clouds, but no rain :( I would not mind several weeks a year like that.

I am that way with alot of books and even some of hers. Actully it has been several years since I read hers, and the ones I really have trouble remembering are the single books like Pandora and Servant of the Bones. Heck, I probably did not even finish Pandora now that I think about it.
Happens to me with alot of movies, too. Part of getting older, I guess.

i didn't realise Pandora had her own story, i might look out for that..

We had record-breaking temperatures in January, it was 'rediculously warm' according to the Met Office, though that meant it was about 4 degrees higher than the normal temps for that time of the year, it's only my hands that are cold, i'm almost tempted to put a pair of gloves on! but i don't fancy trying to type then

We had temps so low in January that for several days our in ground pool had a layer of ice a couple or few inches thick on top. The funniest thing looking back, my 10 year old son had thrown rocks onto the ice since as it was such a novelty. Well, my husband saw the rocks and told him he had to get them off the ice before it melted and they sank to the bottom of the pool... well, the day he went out there to sweep them off the ice he ended up falling in, but fortunately he had an older boy spotting for him and he pulled Alex out almost immediately. Alex said the icy water sent a shock through him before his knees had even gotten wet.

Yikes! D:

Wasn't there some kind of pool cleaning tool nearby to use for getting the rocks? O: That would have saved a lot of trouble.

I'm glad he's okay, though. >.>;;
