I made whitefish piccata, served over rice pilaf. That was yummy. And then this oreo, cream cheese, cool whip, chocolate pudding desert thing. I think I want to go get me some right now, in fact! Oy! Having one of those days today. Ugh! |
Hey all - things sure are moving slowly here lately . . . I miss our mod friends . . . sure hope they can join the rest of us again soon.
So the baba ganoush I made yesterday turned out well - I brought it to a friend's house with some pita and we ate most of it. I left the rest of it there because it would just sit and go bad at my house. Tonight I have to write my paper for my Government Publications class - it's the last paper I have to write for school pretty much ever - it's kind of exciting. I spent all day Saturday writing the copyright paper and now I'm itching to know how I did - it's a fascinating topic and I keep talking about it with everyone - I feel kind of bad because not everyone is a fascinated by the monstrosity that is US copyright law as I apparently am. Anywho - I think my password ban is done so I can get onto banner and assign the TA names on the schedule (I forgot my word and locked myself out so I had to wait an hour before I could try and log in again :oops: ) |

Today's been busy and productive for me. I've done a lot of course work, and already I'm feeling kind of ill in regards to just how much work I'll end up doing before Christmas break. xD
I picked my nephew up from school about an hour ago. He did well. He was hating the idea before, but I think he'll settle in. He said "he can deal". |

I'm having a very difficult time trying to get my mind frame back where it needs to be. I think I'll be fine in a week or two. Actually, I'll be great once we move and I feel settled. Right now everything feels so up in the air, and I have a hard time studying if my surroundings aren't "just so". I feel so weird sometimes. xD

It seems so strange to me that everyone is just starting school where we're just finishing right now.
Today is the first day of finals week and the Fall term doesn't start for us until September 24th. It'll feel so good to be finished with school - but now I have the whole question of finding a job. I really want to get in the free library- but I still haven't heard form them, and I submitted my application months ago - supposedly my name is on the list but that does me no good now. I still have my current job - but it really makes planning difficult when I have no idea where I'm going to be working in the future. my cousin is getting married in February in Florida and I don't know if I can make it because i don't know where I will be working - and I am going to Japan for the first 2 weeks of April and I don't know if I'm going to have vacation time for it or if I'll have to take 2 weeks unpaid. It's frustrating and kind of overwhelming at times not knowing where I'll be in the near future. |
I really hate that feeling, Sia. It's kind of like a feeling of panic, and yet it's completely different. :|

I try not to think about it - but that doesn't help me find a new job :? |

Man, what a pile of homework. Though I guess if I did all of one subject's lessons for the week in one day, I shouldn't be surprised that it took several hours, right? x_x
Well, most of the tasks are done anyway. Not all. Anything else I have left in the subject can be finished up in 30 minutes. |
Good for you on the school work - I'm a terrible procrastinator - in fact - I've managed to sit at my computer almost all night and only take down 1 steno pad sized page of notes for my paper that is due tomorrow by 6pm.
I'm hoping against hope that I'm not super busy at work tomorrow like I was today and I get enough time to throw together a 5 page paper evaluating the EPA website. I apparently love stress :roll: |

Ooooh, I love the new DI's for September as well. I doubt I will have the funds to donate but not sure yet. Sure hope so. I guess I will have to wait until closer the end of the month to see. Si, certainly sounds like you did have a stressful weekend but it will be so worth it for you!!! |
