  • Helloooo n___n

I cracked D: I bought loads of stuff... but I figured if I waited for the MAC update I'd be suffering till October.

Anyhooow, I'm okay with it apart from the legs.

Chi 09-11-2007 05:56 PM

Hi Pearl! <3

Pearl 09-11-2007 05:58 PM

Chi 09-11-2007 06:02 PM

How are you? What's new? ^-^ *huggles*

Pearl 09-11-2007 06:05 PM

  • Well, we keep on getting lectures in school about how hard it's going to be, and I'm sure it will be, but right now it's as easy as pie. xD

All free periods, no homework. <3

Hi all -I've been so quiet here lately - looks like you've all be busy.

Chris and I keep talking about sitting down together and putting together a budget - figuring out where we would be best putting our money - right now everything is separate - he has his bills and I have mine. In all likelihood things will stay that way- but right now we're both spening way more than we should be and that needs to be fixed. Especially since I'm finished school and will have to start repaying my student loans - I had some left over from my undergrad and now with grad school on top I probably have close to 30,000 in student loans to try and repay.

I got a call the other day from the librarian I worked for over the spring and she was shocked I hadn't heard from the city yet for an interview and so she called HR and they had me fax them my application and hr is not contacting the city to find my application and find out why they never got it. It's great she's doing this for me - I just hope I'm able to get a job soon because I really don't want to stay where I am at my current salary any longer.

apricotbaby 09-11-2007 06:10 PM

I will keep my fingers crossed for you sia, good luck!!!

Chi 09-11-2007 06:11 PM

@Pearl
I hope the year stays easy! Like you said, it's bound to get harder, but hopefully it won't be as bad as they make it out to be.

@Sia
Sounds like Cole and me. We have our stuff separate as well. We split the main bills and everything else is our own to do whatever. I'm pretty sure our system will stay this way even after marriage. If a system works, 'tis best not to tamper with it.

I know what you mean on the "spending more than we should be", but right now we've got a handle on it. It seems like we did this last week and you and Chris are doing it this week. Haha. Cole called to get all of his credit cards consolidated, and I looked into the student loan options until I graduate so I can get a lower interest rate for all my debt.

I am hoping, though... not to end up with $30k. It'll probably happen though. The thought does scare the pants offa me though. :( I hate debt. I don't know why it scares me so badly.

I hope you get this job. Best of luck to you!! *hug*

    *runs away from adult problems*

    It scares me to death if they say 'university' in school. ; - ;

Mama Juru 09-11-2007 06:17 PM

Oh yes... gotta love those student loans. I have some that altogether amount to about that much. I figure by the time I'm 80 my education will be paid off, unless I go back for my masters degree. I have been spending all kinds of money going out and eating and buying useless crap. My bills are sort of all paid on time  I am going to have to change this though because I want a house of my very own.

Other than that I'm doing pretty good. Today I have to work a split shift and later I have to do score keeping and work and this week hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it all.

Breastfeeding does help with losing the weight. Something about contracting and whatnot. I'd have to look it up though.

Well, I'm off for a bit. I think I'm going to take a nap since the kids are at school and it is very quiet here right now.

Talk to you all later!

Chi 09-11-2007 06:21 PM

Byebye Juru. Sleep well! <3

Aliena 09-11-2007 06:33 PM

Pearl, your avvie is adorable! I love how you mixed the red and the green and yet, it doesn't look Christmasy or anything like that!

Sia - best of luck to you! Keep us posted on what's happening with your job!

Breastfeeding - I only gained 29 pounds during my pregnancy (my doctor was superanal about weight gain and told me I should only gain between 25 & 35 pounds and each week, she'd monitor me closely - luckily my baby was a little thing too - only 6 1/2 pounds at birth). Breastfeeding (and birth, of course) helped me shed 19 of those 29 pounds within the first month after. Unfortunately, the last 10 have been stuck to me like glue for the past 2 years and they're driving me crazy! I'm hoping the dance classes will help in that department!

Chi 09-11-2007 06:47 PM

Oooh. Lots of good stories on breastfeeding then. Hopefully I won't have troubles when it's time. n_n Maybe another year, hopefully. I figure the more we stress about getting pregnant, the less likely it's to happen.

The dance lessons still going well? :3

EternalHearts 09-11-2007 06:51 PM

*tacklehugs* Aliena for my bow!

How is everyone doing? I do hope all the 'adult" talk is over, I'm currently pretending I'm not one.

Aliena 09-11-2007 06:55 PM

Heh heh, Eternal, it looks cute on you! I'm sporting my bow too - just turned it a different color. ;)

Chi - they are! Ballet, especially. I walk out of that class each week feeling so beautiful and graceful and long-legged. We just learned a new move yesterday that I'm going to be practicing. And I'm trying out the hard version of a turn we've been working on. Jazz is alright - I'm still not that good in there, but each week is certainly better than the one before!

EternalHearts 09-11-2007 07:18 PM

Thankies thankies! I love the outfit you've put together--I really need to get chatting so I can start buying more slothes :D

Chi 09-11-2007 07:57 PM

Aliena, I'm glad it's a good experience for you.

I've made a promise to myself that once we move, I'm setting up my exercise equipment. We are so close to storage in the new apartment that there's no excuse for me not to bring it up and take it back down every other day or something.

That and if I have to pick my nephew up at my mother's house four days a week, there's no excuse I can't leave a bit early on Mondays and Wednesdays (Tues-Thurs I have work) to hop on her treadmill.

So yes. Financial stuff = taken care of to my best ability. Exercise stuff = coming no later than October 1st.

Pearl 09-11-2007 07:59 PM

  • Pearl needs to exercise... she promised herself to go on the treadmill every other day to start with, and she went on sunday, so today is judgement day. xD

It's 9pm here so I better get going soon. >_>

Chi 09-11-2007 08:13 PM

I told myself I'd go religiously, but eh... I failed the first time. Not this time though. D:<

If you're going before I reply again, good night and take care Pearl. <3

Pearl 09-11-2007 08:18 PM

  • Thanks n_n <3

I might go soon, because I'll have to have a shower and everything too...

    >_<

On second thoughts, it's too late... maybe. If I finish by 10pm, I could be asleep by 10:30pm. <33

 I like lots of sleep.

Chi 09-11-2007 08:20 PM

I do too. I hope I get more tonight than last night's 2 hours. I was up throwing up constantly. XDD;; It's apparent pork and I do not like each other, so I've cut ties with it. It can fend for itself thanks.

roocee 09-11-2007 08:24 PM

Someday, I will eventually be moving to my boyfriend's house and he has all sorts of exercise equipment. Even though I just moved, I still don't really have the room or the finances to get what I want. Right now I will just keep walking.

Chi 09-11-2007 08:25 PM

I have something called "The Bean". I bought it a long time ago. I used to do it religiously. x.x I also have the add-on equipment for arm and leg exercises, and I intend on using those this time. My fat belly doesn't like too many sit-ups at once anyway. XD *pats it* There there dear. We won't put you through TOO much.

Pearl 09-11-2007 08:32 PM

  • My dad has bought a punch bag, exercise bike, treadmill, weights, and a skipping rope. xD

He's obsessed with keeping fit, but he doesn't use any of the equipment, he just continues to go running. (Like, outside. Not like a hamster xD)

roocee 09-11-2007 08:33 PM

LOL Chi. I have an exercise ball that my roommate got me for Christmas last year that I have yet to use  I really need to get that out and start using it. I think it would help me strengthen my muscles in my back and also help tighten up my muscles in my stomach.
