*huggles you and apricot*

I want today to be over with. Our online application just took a dump. Oh joy.. people yelling in my ear that they can't work. *sigh* I wish I had that problem right now.

How are you fruity one?

apricotbaby 09-12-2007 03:56 PM

*smoochies jurupa* Hey sweets! I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble at work. :(

I'm doing well today. I have been actively trying to get my body back into a "normal" sleep routine. I went to bed last night around 1 and woke up around 9. So, I'm almost there! hahaha I just don't want to totally kill myself being tired all the time when I go back to working full-time day shift hours.

How are you doing, besides your work woes?

roocee 09-12-2007 04:00 PM

Fruit, you certainly didn't offend me. I've just honestly been trying to understand why everyone keeps saying things are so different. I know it's grown alot but any type of guild/forum will grow. I also know members come and go. I just wish there was a way to get events back without breaking the rules.

Mama Juru 09-12-2007 04:00 PM

I'm doing pretty good. I hear ya on the regular sleep thing. I hate working at 5am because I'm such a night person that it is hard for me to go to sleep early, and when I do I only sleep for a few hours and then I'm right back up again. Ultimately it catches up with me and I crash.

roocee 09-12-2007 04:02 PM

I couldn't work that early. I'm more of a night person as well and starting at 5am just won't work. I would be crashing most definately. I do that now as I tend to stay up later than I should and have to get up at 6am to be at work by 8am.

jellysundae 09-12-2007 04:28 PM

I think the reason why I find it different is because if I visit now there's a lot of unknown names, where as a couple of years ago I knew everyone and they knew me.

Have fun learning stuff when you re-do Mountbara's page Roo. I found Neo's own HTML guide to be useful when I did a bit of fiddling on one of my petpages, nice and easy to follow. I was so proud of myself for learning how to do bullet points

  • *peeks in* Kale's being a bad girl...
    Hello!

apricotbaby 09-12-2007 04:30 PM

I'm glad I didn't offend you, rue. And you're right, things change. That happens with pretty much everything. I will make it a point to try and get more involved in the group and if there is anything I can help with I will be more than happy to do so, just let me know.

I have never been a morning person. UGH. I remember when I was in high school. My mother would be up at the butt crack of dawn singing The Sound of Music songs at the top of her lungs in the kitchen while I was in bed plugging my ears going "Why God? Why me?"

hahahaa

jellysundae 09-12-2007 04:34 PM

LOL!!

I can't deal with people who are that chirpy first thing in the morning! It's like they're trying to torture everyone else.

The early hours are a time for peace if you have to be up then. I have to say that 5AM on a summer's morning is a beautiful time to be outside, the air is fresh and soft and the day id full of promise. If you're going somewhere nice that is, not off to a day in a cold factory like I was!

Mama Juru 09-12-2007 04:37 PM

A bad girl Kale? What did you do......?

Someone better not chirp at me first thing in the morning. Although just a few minutes ago I got the pleasure of a blood curdling scream on the phone. That was pleaseant :?

Rusalka 09-12-2007 04:38 PM

  • I went home when I should be in Biology! *shamedface* I needed to go home anyways but I didn't want to waste my lunch hour on a bus.

roocee 09-12-2007 04:41 PM

That's a great way to look at it Jelly. I never really have been out and about at 5am to see that. I would be peaceful. I do have to agree though, that type of chirping that early in the morning wouldn't be a pretty site for me.

Apricot, we are actually looking for another avatar fae. We've advertised a few times but only one person has applied and we arn't real keen on him being a fae. I would certainly like to see others apply. Of course with that being said, I just gave myself away as an avatar fae...lol

Mama Juru 09-12-2007 04:43 PM

Ditching school?! *covers her mouth so the mommy voice won't come out* It's ok. You can hide out with us in here, lol  We won't tell.

I used to love Biology. I was going to major in Molecular and Cellular Biology when I first started college.

Rusalka 09-12-2007 04:45 PM

  • Ooh that's cool. I like it but I took the course last year.. I just didn't finish it so.. I know everything and it's boring to me.. and I really didn't feel like going.. I don't like my teacher.. he's rather... well.. He just doesn't know how to teach properly.

Mama Juru 09-12-2007 04:51 PM

Ahhh.. one of THOSE types of teachers. I see. I wouldn't want to go either.

Pearl 09-12-2007 04:52 PM

  • If we're talking about biology... from ages 11-15 I had a variety of biology teachers who were all fantastic. I used to love the subject, and I would've done it for A-level, except I knew that it would then get much harder and more mathsy/scientific. >_>

I'm not that kind of a student, so it's a good thing I dropped it.

Now I'm just doing English Literature, English Language, History, and Psychology. The Psychology was my 4th option (it's sciency) but I think I'll drop Language because I hate one of my teachers.

Rusalka 09-12-2007 04:53 PM

  • Yeah.. that and I've learned what he's talking of already anyways.

Pearl 09-12-2007 04:58 PM

  • It's funny... English is my best subject and writing is my passion, but history is the only subject where my enjoyment has never ever been marred... by either topic or teacher. n__n

roocee 09-12-2007 05:00 PM

Ugh, I hated biology. It was all just way above my head.

Rusalka 09-12-2007 05:00 PM

  • I LOVE English... but this semester I'm hating it... It's almost been a week and the teacher is still making us work on the same questions from day ONE.

Pearl 09-12-2007 05:02 PM

  • Ugh, I hate it when the teacher halts the progress of the class, and goes over everything unecessarily.

Rusalka 09-12-2007 05:03 PM

  • Me too.. I wrote a poem for my creative writing class in English about how boring the English class is!!

Pearl 09-12-2007 05:04 PM

  • xD

Aww, you have a creative writing class? Unfair. >_<

I want to write my own emotions on the page, not study someone else's in Lit. >_>

roocee 09-12-2007 05:04 PM

I did really well in English but I have to agree. I hate it when the teacher in any subject would do things over and over. That's just so boring.

Pearl 09-12-2007 05:10 PM

  • I despised spending a whole year on Macbeth, and another year on Romeo and Juliet.

At least I got an A* for the R+J exam. The Macbeth was for a government test which means nothing - it's just for government league tables to say that 13 year olds are better at English but worse at Maths. >_>

In year 9 (I believe it's the 10th grade) all children take tests in maths, science and english so newspapers can declare how shocking the school system is, and so the government can boast that they've surpassed all their targets....

The scores mean nothing to the school children, as they go towards not university, college, nor anything else.
