@ Pearl - that's funny cuz I was gonna make pasta 2nite lol. hubby made some yummy sauce last night that he simmered our roast in to make shredded beef burritos and it's so good I figured I'd use it as a pasta sauce. ^_^
@ Rue - you need to make more money!!! Tell your boss I said he need to give you a raise...i'm sure that will work ;)
@ sia - those gas bills are outrageous!!!!! how big is yourhouse? Ours is about 1500 square feet (i think...including upstairs and basement...maybe a little bigger) and our gas/electicity bills (they're combined) run us about $150 - $250 a month. We have really good almost brand new windows tho (they replaced them about 4 years ago..we bought it 2 years ago) ... altho I wouldn't mind a condo myself...as long as it was a cool condo that had a workout room and pool and stuff ^_^ lno more yardwork sounds really nice right about now

The house is probably about 2700 square feet - plus the basement. We replaced 15 windows last year, and have 15 more to be done - but every singe window is a custom window so it's really expensive. (I can stand on the windowsill - like they are 5'5 tall - it's crazy)
The house was built in 1902 - so the insulation is just air space - but we can't insulate before we replace the wiring because it's knob & tube wiring - it's a lot of money to get it up to date and efficient and we're beginning to doubt if it's worth it.

Si's house sounds amazing. I'd adore a big old house, even if it did suck up every penny, I lost love old houses!
You need to rent your top floor out to an electrician! ;)
Welcome Melody! So nice when someone else joins our little clan.
Pearl, I hope that pasta turned out ok..
I went to a party at a friend's house last weekend, she has about 4 cats, one of them has lost a claw from his front right paw, and he was hopping about holding the right one up in front of him. thing is, Aud says he puts it on totally, because when there's no-one about he runs around on it perfectly normally! Typical male huh?

Melody - today's your twin's birthdays? Happy birthday to them! And welcome to the purkle thread! ^_^
Juru - I love your avvy right now. So sleek!
I'm running on less than 5 hours of sleep today...am getting more and more sluggish, so I've got to get some work in before I crater. I want to finish Harry Potter tonight too.
But I just wanted to say hello and give some purkle hugs to you guys!

Haha - yeah -the house is pretty big. We have 3 floors and technically 6 bedrooms - 4 on the 2nd floor and 2 on the 3rd floor. There are 3 full bathroom- 2 on the second floor and 1 on the 3rd and 2 partial bathrooms - 1 on the 1st floor and 1 in the basement (that's a total of 5 toilets ) .
There is an addition on the back of the house that was built sometimes before 1935 - the kitchen is in the addition and one of the bedrooms is over it - it actually makes a 2 room suite on the 2nd floor because you have to go through 1 bedroom to get to the other - we rent those 2 rooms out to a friend.
We have 2 bedrooms for ourselves - the master bedroom has a fireplace in it so the 2nd bedroom is our 'dressing room' and we turned 2 of the walls into closet space and our dressers are in there - this room also has a full bathroom in it (really convenient)
On the 3rd floor one of the rooms is an 'office' which basically means we have computers we don't use and piles of old bills and such in there - the other 3rd floor room and bathroom should be rented - but right now we have no-one :(
It really is a wonderful place - all the ceilings are 10 fee tall - I can get a super sweet tree to put in the foyer at Christmas - and because the kitchen is an addition the room where the kitchen used to be is a bar - which works for us because we have a lot of parties. In fact - we have so many parties we have a separate fridge in the bar just for beer
Anyway - I can talk about my house forever - and I really do love it - but at the same time the idea of living downtown in center city, not having to own a car, and just living the city life is really appealing.
Anyway - I just got home - I decided that I needed to go out so I met up with my mom at the mall - didn't spend too much - I got a skirt, 4 shirts, and a pair of shoes for $80. :)

*manipulates the lottery for Sia* ... *and everyone else while she's at it*
Speaking of money and how annoying it is, Cole and I went a bit overboard yesterday... I don't know what got into us. I don't know if it was mostly me influencing him, or if it was a joint effort.
We pretty much have everything we need for the new apartment now save for shelving for knick-knacks, and he needs some towels. I figure I can order the rest online.
I intend on showing pictures off of the place when we get it all put together, which is sounding like to be next week. Can't wait! Eee.
I hope everyone's doing well. Miss you all!

Good to see you Chi. I'm glad things are going well for the new place. We are all unpacked for the most part. There are about 5 boxes that is just stuff we need to decide if we want to keep or pitch. Other than that, things are pretty much in order finally.

Chi i'm excited for your move! Things will be so much better for you after that, being able to expand into a more comfortable space that will actually feel like a home^^
Si you got some bargains!!! I wish we had good places to shop here, but because I'm in the middle of rural nowhere I do ALL my clothes shopping online!
I might buy a lottery ticket! It's too late for tonight's draw now, but there's a different one on Monday, might try my Purkle luck with that one! 8)

Well, it's the same bed I had when I was 6....
