Is everyone on Zan LOL!

Hey guys and gals how are we all going? I'm doing alright for the most part but I've had an annoying lingering ear ache for the last three days or so that seems to be getting worse. I can't get to the doctors either until next Thursday because she is all booked until then and I don't really want to be going to another doctor if I can help it at all because I like her and she knows me.

I went to my friends baby shower five years ago and had a blast at it. We played all of the childrens party games and talked baby stuff and gave the mum to be baby prezzies. I think people do it these days because some of them are greedy and want the prezzies that people give them. Also I think its just an excuse to be able to have a party.

Gawd I've been stressed with school work lately, I've gotten so much homeowork that I've got to work on this weekend. I've got it for my maths class, my retail class and my occupational health and safety class as well and its all due by the end of next week, gah!

............ I'm having a shower more or less because all I had left from my first son was some minor selection of clothes (mostly things he had not stained or things that I had liked enough not to give away... So I am talking VERY MINOR!) When it didn't seem like anyone wanted to have one I started buying some of the big things I'd needed... IE crib, strollers, etc! Now that I have most of the big stuff everyone seems to want to throw one. My sister, my mom, my boyfriends mom and sister... So I decided that since my mom did the one for my son I was going to let my sister help my "mother in law" and "sister in law" and I am helping as well. Honestly, this is the first biological grandchild/ niece or nephew in my boyfriends family so I can see why they wanted to throw one. My mom on the other hand I have no idea... She knows most of the stuff I got from Mikes shower I have either sold or given away to make bills most months. If I were her I'd probably be mad! But she understands why I did it. I didn't/ don't have the storage space to keep stuff that I am not using right this moment! And my sister. Well I can't say for sure...Maybe she has finally hit sweet 16 (maybe a year early but that'd be nice LOL)... LOL She and I don't normally get along so well because I don't take her flack like most people LOL... But she does adore my son... So it could just be she is excited to have another nephew... It isn't that I am trying to be greedy I do really need the help. Especially after losing my job. But honestly I don't care what people think because they aren't in my shoes and they can't tell what is going on in my life! Nor do they have the right to say whether my son will deserve to have everything his big brother had/ has!

Showers are great for helping out the mom's. Baby stuff is sooo expensive. Like I said somewhere else, I was given 2 because I had nothing left from number 1. It's also a good excuse to have cake! :lol:

You know Jaz there is no need to get snippy. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion. Sorry guys, I wont be back to the nation. I'll hang out in the quest forum where I know I wont get my head bit off for a simple statement that wasnt even referring to anyone in particular

I am sorry if I offended you... But it has seemed that since I asked a personal question about your baby (one I said specifically if I was prying too much you didn't have to answer, and you didn't)... you have almost had a vendetta against me. You would only pop in here, it seemed, to correct something that a friend and I were doing wrong. And then when I posted about the shower and Roo replied. Almost too conveniently you pointing out the EXACT age difference in my children and then started saying it was wrong to have a shower for someone with kids that age.

But honestly I tried to keep quiet. I tried to just let it roll off my back but the second reply... ONE NOT MADE BY YOU... Upset me... On top of your reply yes, but that is because I already felt like you were attacking me specifically! You know I actually feel the same way as you do in all honesty... If I had been living in my own house with a nice bit of storage when my first son was born I would have more then gladly kept all of his stuff and used it all again with this one... In fact I did try to save the stuff I had gathered for my first son! But I lived with my mother for the first 2 years of my son's life. Then I moved into a studio apartment for 9 months. And now... I live in a city subsidized two bedroom apartment That has much better storage then the studio (for which I am very grateful) but also has no AC/ Swamp cooler for our summers so all I can do is run fans all day and night... Well in the winter I don't need those fans so there are 5 fans in storage... Taking up nearly all of my space! So it was not only out of financial need that I began to sell my son's outgrown belongings it was out of need for space. I can easily be kicked out of my apartment for excess clutter. They run routine inspections about every 3 months and look at how the house is kept and whether or not there is a fire hazard from cludder! I also wasn't planning on having another baby for a while. Quite a while... I would have preferred to get my teaching license first and a steady job with the district! And to have finished school. But god had other plans for me. There is no debating that considering the circumstances. Not that he will be a virgin birth but there were some serious precautions in place!

I am sorry I suppose I will be leaving all of the purkle threads now... More then likely I will be leaving all but gaia completely... Seeing as the purkle thread was the only I really ever visited! Don't stop visiting because of me. But I felt I had the right to defend myself to what was basically being said against me!

So you are going to say that I have something to do with this? That's not right either Jaz. I didn't "conveniently" post anything. There was not a personal attack on you at all. People can't state opinions? I'm going to look at this as you are both very hormonal right now and are taking things the wrong way. Neither has to leave anywhere.

Frankly Jaz I didnt appreciate you asking me personal questions about my baby. I felt as if you were accusing me of lying and I felt like you were attacking me. And the next time you start doing massive quoting, which is against TOS and highly annoying, I will let you have at it and let you get into trouble.

You arent the only one who has problems, and this isnt the place for anyone to air their dirty laundry. But whatever you want, it makes no difference to me. I won't talk to you, and I would appreciate it if you would show me the same courtsey. Pretty sad that I feel like I cant chat here, but no matter, I will stay in the quest forum.

kalium, bippy comes along and changes the thread title often. I dont think it means anything in particular

Roo-I don't think she was referring to your response post to Morquarwen, there was another post after that said something about how sometimes people have multiple baby showers because they're greedy. I know it was a comment that they made not to be cutting, but just something that they have observed with people that they may know in RL. It was taken the wrong way.

@ Roo... I wasn't referring to anything you had said said as Lucky pointed out it was a post about being greedy that I felt I needed to justify myself against... Though I know it wasn't in reference to me. I am not trying to get you in the middle of things, really.

@ morquarwen... I am sorry that you took my question that way. Honestly I was in shock because Roo had just found out about the baby. and you were further along then I was it was just shocking from what I had originally expected. I wasn't meaning it to sound like I was accusing you of lying. I really wasn't, I was just awe struck. I am happy for you that you are having a baby. I know I am not the only person here that has problems... But I am not the only one who vents them off either. But either way. I won't be here again... In fact the only reason I am today is because of something Ceymore said to me on gaia something I still can't quite figure out.... So feel free to post anytime you like you won't see me in any of the purkle threads and I quit the guild on gaia yesterday.
