So last night was a horrible night. We am about 3 miles from home and look down to see my temp guage up in the red. I pray that I make it home which I did and let it cool down. I want out after it cooled down enough to add antifreeze to watch it leaking a steady thin stream of the antifreeze coming out of the water pump I just had replaced about 2 months ago. Hopefully after today it will be fixed and I don't have to pay for another one. My mechanic isn't happy so I'm crossing my fingers.

I'm not supposed to have to pay for this so I'm hoping that means no labor costs either.

I don't think there will be any labor costs either Rue--it's their problem for either not doing it right the first time or giving you faulty parts. God luck with it, I hope this repair does the trick.

And an FYI if your temp gauge goes red again: turn on the heat full blast, even if it's hot out. it's only a temporary fix, and might be terribly uncomfortable, but it should get you home or to where you're going until you can turn off the car and let it cool down.

Yeah I knew about that but didn't think of it until I was driving down the lane. Thankfully it was only 23 degrees out so that helped I think.

Yeah it wasn't the water pump after all. It was worse than that and it's not done yet. It's been a long weekend without a car.

Sorry to hear you are still car-less, Roo. That is never a fun thing -and often an expensive thing- to have to deal with... I hope it is relatively simple thing to get repaired.

... so is a St. Patrick's Day event likely to happen here? I can't remember from the last couple of years when I rarely signed in with my original account...

No St. Patty's Day event that I am aware of.

Yeah it wasn't extremely pricey or at least I hope not. Car is done, I just don't have a bill yet.

Well, we have items!! I wish I had more gold though since we're not having an event to allow us to earn them for free. But I guess I can't complain too much since the items are AWESOME!!!

I'll agree with that, Gemini... I just had my hands full of "event" yesterday  so not having one here was not a bad thing in my opinion. I am glad there are some items though... now to make the gold to buy them!!

Hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe St. Patrick's Day yesterday (if you celebrate)... do you? I had a Guinness at the house, but that was the extent of the "celebrating" here!

They're there for a bit - its not in the event shop though - you need to go to the shop list and it's the first shop

There were a bunch o commons released as well :squee:

*blush* Thanks Jaz. I absolutely adore the rainbow shawl, although it would be nice for a couple more poses, similar to some of the other shawls. I want to drape myself in the rainbowy goodness.

Blaze, I'm glad we didn't have an event here too.
