Oh, just the usual, Butterfly... kids, sites, reality, various projects, updating sites, researching, printing things out, etc., etc. And yeah - I keep forgetting about YIM. Besides, you're usually invisible there aren't you? I totally forget what your wicked's name on Gaia is since it's been forever since I've even signed in to that site... my YIM ID is the same as my original username (the one that got banned on Gaia).

i have started to try and draw again...and i am finding that i am not any good at it...shakes head at my constantly shaking hands.....heh

i have also been TRYING to do some writing...writing stories for my characters and what not....this i am also finding that i am having problems with...my way with words just dont work...lmao XD

I'm glad to hear you're trying to draw again. It's horrible when you get out of practice with that, isn't it? (I'm in the same boat). As for the painting... yeah.. well... kinda. I have a painting sitting on my easel that hasn't seen a brush in far too long. I need new reference material though - I like the composition of my reference, but the image just doesn't give me any depth of color or anything that I can paint from! :gonk:

i have been trying to draw from some of the animes that i watch....and of course looking at the art on a few sites i am on...and it amazes me how some of them have some of the most basic designs and yet i cant get the grasp of it....

of course you are right....i use to draw looney tunes and other cartoons all the time back in the day...i think it has been well over 12 years since i have drawed...my last cartoon plaques date back to '98 O.O

and i cant even begin to tell you that i can not shade for anything...no matter how hard i have tried ^_^;; it just doesnt look right...lol

oh i love my anime...well certain ones anyway....but i was watching Inuyasha at my sister's yesterday (hence the kagome tweaking comment)....and i was looking at the way the characters were drawn...and it all looks so simple at least until you try to do it yourself...sighs

i have been snatching my sister's naruto mangas and trying to draw some of the characters out of it....they look ok..but you can so see where i made the booboos ^////^

and hovering over there on deviantart....some of the art there especially with the chibis and all...they look like anyone could do them....LMAO anyone except me....

i have taken pics of the ones i have done...have thought of putting them up on my DA acct...is kinda scared too tho....^///^

but i will keep trying...dadgumit...maybe i need to find some tutorials to brush up on the basics..you think?

I'm just not creative. I had alot of fun painting that picture but I was frustrated too because watercolor just is way out of my comfort zone. We did it as an office and I think that's what made it fun. But I was frustrated to tears more than once.

have you thought about experimenting with any other type of coloring material(i.e. color pencils and other things like that) who knows...maybe that would put you into a more comfortable zone....you dont even have to do anything big...just little doodles and what not ^__^

I meant drawing the anime is something that just seems to escape me, Butterfly. I enjoy watching some of it...

and yes, perhaps another media, Rue... for the art?

Good thing you don't have to save your life by drawing then, isn't it?! :XD All that means is that you do it for fun. And it's a skill, just like any other... it takes time and practice.

Nothing on TV, Butterfly... just the occasional one we stumble across here n' there. We're half-heartedly watching the Tower of Druaga series now, and we've watched several others - most of which I can't remember the names of, to be honest. We watched Vampire Knight, and Death Note (of course), and ... *shrugs* I dunno... can't remember and my head's in too many other places right now to bother trying to remember! :gonk:

oh death note...i LOVE that one...i am saving up the money to get the movies walmart got in this month...

besides that one i love eureka 7, bleach, inuyasha(i am so glad they decided to continue the animated series...must watch and catch up) and then there is my all time favorite....naruto...squeeeees
