I think a lot of the quiet here has to do with us being spread over so many other sites. Back when we first became Purkle, Neo was pretty much the only game in town. Now, there are hundreds of avatar sites, plus Facebook, that we can't keep up because we all feel drawn to add more and get in on the beginning before the site gets corrupt. My personal issue is grad school...the semester will be over on the 28th, and I could not be happier!! I'll be taking a summer class, but it's only 2 days/week until the end of June, and will be WAY easier than this semester was. |

Yes, I do think it's the sheer number of sites that are having an impact on us all... and on the sites themselves, to be honest! But I still miss being able to see and chat with the Purkle friends that I've had for so long now... |
yea it was much easier when all we had was neo and yahoo - but we don't even get together and do chat rooms like we used to :( those were the days. Hubby would just roll his eyes as i sat for hours laughing at the computer screen ;)

Thanks Jaz. It's just hit 80 for the first time here, and I wanted to do something nice and springy since it's been so cold and miserable for so long. Blaze, you may have a point...we should all try to log in and post in this thread at least, 5 days per week (just an idea...I know there are vacations and life that get in the way too). |

... the weather forecast lied to me today -- told me it was going to get rainy and thunderstormy... and it was hot and sunny all day long! I should know better than believe it's ever going to rain in Florida until I see it coming down! Although, if I didn't think it was going to start raining any moment (it was kinda overcast for a little while there), I probably would have gone to the beach and gotten a nice deep, hurting shade of sunburn instead of only slightly sizzled by being in our yard for a little bit... |

actually we're moving - about 40 minutes from where we live now - long story short house went into foreclosure and we couldn't (and really didn't want to) save it. So it's back to apt living for us, but closer to family. And since i don't drive that's a blessing in disguise ;)

Aww Jaz, I'm sorry to hear that...I'd known you were moving, but not why. I'm glad that there are benefits to the move though. I hope you're able to find an apartment that's just as good as a house. |
thanks EH - it is kinda bittersweet - but we found a fabulous apt via a friend of mine from HS - downtown in my old hometown - 3 blocks from my mom - 20 minute bike ride from my brother and his family - right around the corner from a coffee shop with wifi lol. And super affordable.
