OH!! I have an extra gray mechanic's hat from the event (common item) if anyone wants it (My original purchase didn't seem to go through, then went through twice :roll: ) Just let me know if you (anyone) wants it...

I wish there were a marketplace like Gaia´s here. For all our bitching and moaning about here, it´s the one thing they got right.

I like how there isn't one on Mene. It makes you work harder for your items and it feels so much more satisfying once you've got what you wanted. It makes the community stronger.

I'm not a fan of only having the exchange forum and not a marketplace personally cuz there tends to be politics that get involved with trading and such. I've experienced it here and on zan (tho not lately) and even on gaia when trying to use their exchange forum. It's not all the time, but it does happen. Makes me avoid the area completelyl

Jaz - I understand 100%! I too tend to avoid the marketplace exchange forums too exactly because of the reasons you're stating! It's just too hard to make a deal in that environment when people want to play games with the exchanges and they favor their friends instead of somebody who's username they don't recognize (or that they do!), etc.

Unfortunately, the sites that have the marketplace forum structure -whether or not they also have the more objective "shops"- also seem very *entrenched* in having those forums ... I can't see how they could really be removed from the site without causing a major uproar. But if anyone has any ideas on this, I would LOVE to hear them!! :love:

sorry fox_girl :-( just how i feel. some exchange threads in the forum are decent enough - but as i said it generally tends to be biased on some levels.
