Yay!! Looks good! :D

My cheesy broccoli chicken with rice was a success, although it didn't hit the spot like that rigatoni did, either because I just wasn't craving it in particular, or because something about one of the 3 chicken breasts tasted funny to me. I'll probably try it again another time!

And now I have enough broccoli and velveeta cheese leftover to try a broccoli cheese dish my sister-in-law and her fiance brought for Thanksgiving that I really liked, although I need to buy Ritz crackers first, and have them re-tell me the recipe for sure so I get it right. (This is the first time in my life I've bought Velveeta cheese!

lots of Purkle chatter! that jerk chicken sounds great, we used to do goujons with jerk seasoning where i work, used to get in a frightful mess mixing them up! but it smelled fantastic, sweet and spicy, almost like a really rich fruit cake.

the talk of fires reminds me of what happened to Talencia :( that's the only time anyone i know has been effected by fire, but i remember the shock of hearing about it still, i sat here and cried.

fawN glad your appointment went so well, and you had a nice nap :) i love naps too! i used to have one on a Friday afternoon at the end of an early shift, but those days are gone now that my shifts have changed, we finish at 2 on a Friday still, but are back at work at 6AM sunday morning, so a nap on a Friday just throws me sleep cycle out toally and i end up lying awake Saturday night and going to work on Sunday having had no sleep at all

now i suppose i should go to bed, we're having to work 2 extra hours each day this week because the factory was closed on Sunday, being at work til midnight is NO fun.

Ooo! Nice hair! Glad you finally got it working!

Well, good evening, my lovely menepurkles! ^_^

That recipe sounds fantastic! I actually did some heavy duty cooking tonight - made herb marinated flank steak, au gratin potatoes, and steamed fresh green beans. Yummy! I'm very proud of the baby because I stuck her in her high chair with some grapes, steak, and leftover corn casserole and a fork and she actually ate with the fork all by herself while I was finishing cooking the potatoes! And when I tried to sit down at one point to help her with the fork, she said, "No no no!" because she wanted to do it herself.

Talking about fire fears and being away from home - I think my biggest fear when I'm not there is of a break-in. We live in a rather nice neighborhood (though our house is one of the modest sized and priced ones) and it's unfortunately become kind of a target for burglaries and in fact, several houses just a few down from mine have been broken into mid-day! I think we were actually almost a victim of it, but my husband and I both happened to be home at the time...

It was a few months ago and he was out mowing the lawn and this kind of shady guy came to the door "selling a cleaning product." Since I knew my husband was around, I opened the door, though the screen door was still locked. He was just kind of odd acting and then my husband popped around front and came up to him, asking what he wanted. Anyhow, long story short, the house across from us and down one got broken into right around that time, that very day. We're not sure if the guy was scoping things out, or trying to be a distraction or what, but you can bet it made me nervous!

And another thing with where I live, we sometimes get hurricanes. Well, you sometimes have to evacuate, but I hate leaving the house during that time. We had a family at our church evacuate from Rita a year or so ago (it ended up swerving last minute and we didn't even get rain from it!) and when they came back, they found their house burglarized and burned down. Apparently, the theif couldn't just leave it at burglary. He had to go set it on fire too!

I know things can be replaced and burglars don't tend to steal the stuff that truly matter - pictures, memories, etc. But still, those kinds of things really make me nervous!

I did too Jaz. I've noticed something weird and I don't know if it has happened to anyone else that goes there but if I go after midnight MST I get linked to old information. I've cleared my history, using FF, closed and reopened the browser, etc. Is Zantarni closed at a certain hour? The link you posted here says no topic found but again that is because it has old stuff prior to the server move. Weird.

I guess I should just try to sleep or something but I've got lentil and brown rice soup cooking. :D

That is quite scary O.o My parets neighbourhood had two house breaked in during mid-day and my mom get scared. Plus one time, someone came from the garden - behind the house - and walked up the stairs to the kitchen - we have a balcon where stairs lead to the back garden. M mom was in the kitchen that time and was frigthen. My father entered a the time and made to guy ran. He followed him but not that long. O.o That guy was fast. But that was scary...
My friend and I leave in a small appart with lots of other university students O.o I don't think there was any problems around any way and Breaking onpoor students won't give you anything.
I mostly scared of petty thief, that just come and take stupid things and destroy everything else. At least, pro thief, only take one thing and let the rest intake O.o Is my opinion strange ? O.o

I... wrote a lot so excuse me for any grammar fault ^^

*yawn* I think I will need a nap today. I am just dragging this morning. I think my body feels it's unnatural to get up at 0430. lol I agree with my body!

Oh, gosh, break-ins are another thing I worry about, but we do live on a busy street, so it's not at the top of my worry list. I'm worry more about a car running into our house. We live right on the corner and I've seen some close calls between vehicles. We do have a line of lilac bushes there, so hopefully they would slow down a car, but I still worry about it.

I think I worry too much! lol Is it a female thing? XD

I dont like Yugioh :?

Morning ladies :D Off to the dentist with Toni this morning. Shes getting her last 2 baby teeth removed. Her mouth is entirely too small, so the dentist decided to remove her remaining baby teeth to give her adult ones a chance to come in properly. Though braces are for sure in her future :(

He took 4 out 2 weeks ago but she was kinda antsy through it all. So he took the top 4 and decided to hold off on these 2 hes removing today. Im sure everything will be fine, but if you could send some positive purkle vibes our way I'd appreciate it *hugs* <3

*sends positive vibes out for Toni*

She'll get through it Jess and it'll be for the best in the end. I had the same problem when I was a kid and they removed 7 baby teeth and two adult teeth. So, now my teeth are much, much nicer even though I'm short two. lol They all moved together nicely due to my small mouth.

P.S. I don't like Yugioh either. lol

I had braces when I was younger - had to get 4 teeth pulled - then my wisdom teeth came in and I had to keep the braces on an extra year!

Morning everyone - I see there has been lots of angsty worry talk about fires and robbery . . . what a cheery topic.

My boss was robbed mid-day - she came home form work and saw her door kicked in - got her neighbor (who is a cop) and he ran into the house with his gun to make sure no one was in there. They stole her laptop, ipod, jewelery, and polish coin collection. The guy was caught later (he had robbed at least 5 houses in the area!) but I don't think she ever got her stuff back.

She even went to all the local pawn shop and described her stuff, left her number and said she would buy back any of the jewelery without asking any questions. Some of t had very sentimental value - gifts from relatives in Poland before she moved to the US, her grandfather's ring, stuff like that.

I think if anyone broke into our house they would be sorely disappointed - we have no TV or anything really of value - if they wanted the good stuff they would have to go into the basement (which I'm guessing most people don't check). - either way my house mates keep such odd hours there is almost always someone home - fingers crossed it stays that way.

Aliena, that's cute about your girl finally eating with a fork! I remember the first time I saw Jade eating cake with a fork at her cousin's first birthday party, and I was so impressed at how she managed it! And LOL she doesn't want your help; that's good!

Have you guys watched the show It Takes a Thief? It's about 2 ex-thieves using their moves and knowledge to show people how unsafe their homes are, and what they look for when scoping out for an easy home. I've only seen it a couple times, but it has some valuable tips in it!

and *hugs* to Toni that getting her teeth pulled goes smoothly and isn't too painful!

Jade's mouth is really small too, and the dentist hopes it grows enough before adult teeth start coming in. Her teeth have never had the gaps between them that children's teeth should, and they're already crowded and a little crooked. She has a cousin with a similar mouth/teeth, and he didn't start losing his til he was 7. I didn't figure she'd lose hers yet (although some of her other cousins have lost several and are the same age) because she didn't even cut her first tooth until she was 14 months.

I had braces too in middle school and part of high school, mostly for crowded teeth and slight overbite. I won't mind if she does too, as it seems most teenagers in this town them get!

I don't feel well today!! :Cries:

My nose is streaming, my head is thumping and my throat is itching!! :(

Why do these things get to come on overnight! No warning, no symptoms beforehand or anything! Just wake up and BOOM! Head cold!!
Blergh!

Also, I get to go to work in the pub tonight! Start at 5 and don't finish until 2 in the morning! Hot sweaty pub with a load of old drunk men! Oh and I get to work with a bully bit*h, so not going to be a fun night at all!!!

:: Sits on the couch under her duvet trying to get better in under 2 hours! ::
