Wii's were SO hard to get for a long time, and they likely still are in a lot of places. Jason tried so hard for weeks to find one, and he kept missing them. It doesn't help that we're no longer in a big city, so we would only be able to check on weekends. My soon-to-be brother-in-law managed to get 2 when he woke up early and stood in line at opening time, and they were all sold out in less than 10 minutes. He sold the extra on EBay and made a good profit.

We finally found ours when we went to sign up for a Sam's Club membership in Santa Fe a few weeks ago. Santa Fe doesn't seem to be as into the gaming and toys (like Transformers) as Albuquerque is, so we often find stuff there that we can't when we visit Albuquerque on other weekends.

I thought that with me being in Philadelphia I would be able to find a wii - but everywhere I called was always sold out.

I eventually caved an bought one online from a store that sold it as a package - so I had to buy 7 games along with the wii - but I don't mind so much because so far we like all the games we got with it.

Hey guys! Hope your days are going well so far!

I remember hearing about that woman. It really struck me because only like a week or so before, I was talking to my husband about how I had heard drinking lots of water could help with weight loss and he cautioned me not to drink too much or it could be harmful. He's a cyclist, so apparently, he's pretty well versed in that sort of stuff. But I was like, "Yeah right! How can water be bad for you!" But then I heard about that contest and read up on it all!

Well, I am exhausted today! I normally go to bed between 1:30 and 2 - I love staying up, working on stuff and whatnot after the baby and husband go to bed. Well, my dumb computer won't seem to keep the correct hour ever since Daylight Savings time, no matter how many times I set it forward!

So last night, I'm working and starting to get a little sleepy, but the computer says 1:05, so I figure I'll just work a little bit more. Well, by 2, I was more than ready to crash. Only I walked into my bedroom to see my clock in there telling me it was really 3! I can't believe I was up til 3 am last night!

 I've done that - but I knew what time it was and just kept telling myself "5 more minutes and then I'm going to bed"

Well, you haven't ranted at Gaia yet. Catch me on YM if you need to! Although I'm here and there defrosting ground beef, and then gonna make some cheeseburger macaroni.

Mmmm...cheeseburger macaroni sounds yummy. I haven't decided what to have for dinner tonight. It really depends on if Adam get off on time or not.

I hope it's yummy, but it should be simple. And hopefully I don't get too grossed out making it because this big thing of ground beef I bought and cut up and froze in individual packages to defrost, I think the whole thing has bits of this white.. who-knows-what in it, like a big ol' long artery got cut up in there and it looks like white plastic tubing that I keep having to dig out and throw away as I cook it. The first batch I defrosted had it, and it looks like this one does too, but I don't want to waste all this ground beef and throw it all, nor can I think of what else to cook if I don't use it now! :?

*hugs* i'm sure I'm just being stupid and overexcitable today. We all know how words on a screen sometimes don't translate well to wht you're actually thinking and trying to convey. It's blown up in all our faces at one time or another I'm sure.

Anyway, I ranted and I feel better. Took me a little longer than I thought cuz I had to get updates on my Papa. He had surgery today. He pulled thru okay. I blogged and bulletinned it on myspace. Anyway, he's stable but drugged up so they told all family to leave until tomorrow so we'll see what happens. He's gonna be 80 in May

edit: and am I so sad that I was kinda disappointed that the big rant on gaia didn't get me menewsha gold. It was a long one I coulda got at least 10 gold for hehehe

  • I saw it, Jaz - and I know exactly who you mean.

But no worries. Pseudo-intellectuals don't actually get far in life. Eventually, people see right through that, so he'll get his come-uppance, don't you worry.
