Aww Jaz, you're too sweet! ^_^

Bipper - what adorable kittens! I just melted when I saw the pictures! Hope you can come up with names. When we adopted our kitty, her name was "Globe." O_o Who would name a cat Globe?? We changed it to Ivy, which suits her much more.

Baby names are so hard to come up with! Especially when the husband insists he have a say in it all!

Jennimac - Hello! I've not met you yet, but I got sucked into this thread - what a wonderful group of ladies!

Good morning Purkles! *hugs*

Bipper, those kitties are adorable! I have a hard time coming up with names right away myself...I need to get to know their personalities first. The same thing would probably apply if I ever have a baby. lol

Good morning everyone!!

Those kittens are such cuties!! The smaller black one reminds me of my cat - Pandora - when she was a kitten.

In totally unrelated to anything anyone is talking about not so news news - I made pumpkin coffee this morning and if you put French vanilla creamer in it the coffee is reminiscent of a pumpkin pie.

That is all

I fed her too. We are getting up there to be #9. How exciting is that!!!

Good morning purkles. It's been a hectic morning here at the office. I haven't been at my computer much at all. I think I'm finally getting caught up there though. One secretary for 3 attorneys is a bit rough sometimes.

I can imagine - I technically work for an entire academic department of 10 faculty - but really I work for 1 department head. I can't imagine working for 3 department heads.

I fed Crystal - yay she's on the happiest list!!

Hehe, that sounds like taking care of babies, with the poop, pee, puke, and slobber! Only it's all unpaid.

It's not bad most of the time Si. Just recently has it gotten to the point I want to pull my hair out.

I swear that sometimes they pull this stuff out of their butts.

haha - I can imagine.

I sometimes think part of being the 'boss' is seeing how much you can pile onto one person before they snap.

I love it when my boss comes to me and tells to makes changes to the schedule a week after the deadline - and the he gets all angry and wonders why the other office give us such a hard time. I'm always like . . umm, this was supposed to be a week ago - we're making everyone do double the work - of course they are going to give you a hard time.

He also doesn't seem to think I need to be told about overload pay - when I'm the person who has to process the pay.

oy - people sometimes.

i think mistreating animals is horrific. I can't believe what people do to their "pets"

it's in no way as bad as some, but our neighbor keeps his cat outside for most of the day and all night. It's getting warmer here, but when it was below freezing and i would see the cat come up to our doors it was all i could do to keep from taking it in and going over there and screaming at him. (long story regarding his other cat too)

instead we left our garage door slightly askew so that the kitty would have a shelter from the bad weather if he needed it

and awesome topic btw...i just replied in it. i hope i made sense

thanks - I understood what you were saying.

At my parents house there were some stray kittens that had been abandoned my their mother - my brother and I started feeding them in an effort to get them to trust us.

We eventually put our old deg carrier outside with a blanket in it and put the food inside the carrier.

One day it started snowing really bad - so we went out to feed the cats and when they all ran into the carrier we closed it up and I drove to the humane society in a snowstorm to get the cats somewhere warm. I think I donated 15 cans of cat food along with the 3 kittens- but I just couldn't leave them out there in the snow storm!

that is so awesome of you...i prolly would have done the same thing. It hurts my heart when I see cats wandering around...and kittens! i dont' stand a chance against kittens!

of course I'm also very much against having outdoor cats anyway. I can see the benefits if you have a farm or something, but in the city it's just laziness and ignorance (and i'm leaning towards ignorance for my neighbor...i think he honestly doesn't realize a cat isn't like a dog...altho i wouldn't want to see a dog outside in those weather conditions either)

Just seeing cats outside when it's 20 below here makes me ill. We have quite a few ferals running aorund, but most of the ones I see have homes. I know people who say they feel bad keeping their cats inside because it's "unnatural" and "boring." I say, if you provide stimulation for them, they will be just fine. Besides, would you not rather the cat have a long, healthy life? On another note... Can you believe it's legal here in Minnesota to shoot a cat on your property as long as it isn't someones pet? That makes me so angry... Seriously, why would you ever need to shoot a cat? It's not like they are normally nuisances. Grrr...

(It looks like I need a rant emotie!)
