She sounds like a fabulous flower girl!
I remember when I was a flower girl for my uncle's wedding my parents had a hard time getting me to not wear my 'princess gown'. Are you in a similar situation? |
I have no doubt that Jess' daughter would be hard to keep out of a gown like that if she was ever in a wedding. She can't wait to wear her easter outfit now.
|
I remeber when i was a little girl i loved christmas because I always got to wear the most pretty handmade dresses.
|
i was a tomboy all the way still don't like to were dresses my mom got my this really nice suit with no buttons on it what so ever. (i been like that since i was a kid don't like buttons makes me feel sick to even look at them.)
but any ways she go it for me i were it once i really didn't feel comfy in it. i looked out of sorts a bunch. |
*hugs Purkles* Hope you all are doing well...I think all you that haven't yet should come join Zantarni! :P It is a fun community. Clicky:http://www.zantarni.com/profile.php?...ter&ref=110010
Now, I'm off to post a bit to see if I can get closer to clothed here. ;) |
I am so lost on Zantarni. I created an account there, and I think I even created an avatar (a couple of times actually) but everytime I go to the site, it just takes me to a main page and doesn't show my avatar or anything..... It now has where avatars can be customized towards the bottom, but when I did that, I didn't see where there was anywhere to save it, and when I went back to the index page, it wasn't there.
I know none of that made any sense.... I'm not good at explaining things. It looks like a cool site though... even though I don't really like the avatars as much as the ones here, I think the clothes are really cute, and I love how some people look on there. |
Good morning Purkles!
I hope you all had a good night last night. I know the weather was beautiful so when I got home form work my boy and i decided to take a walk to to Co-op to buy some veggies for dinner. We took the GPS with us to see our elevation profile and how far we walked - we did about 3.5 mikes in an hour and a half - not too bad. Then we got to make dinner - leftover mac'n cheese with zucchini and a huge salad - yumm. He has class tonight so I get to take the train home and heng out in the house alone - I usually put on a movie in work on my crocheting (or homework). |
I just don't have the time to join another site. I don't understand Zantarni at all and can't even get my avatar to set up so I gave up.
|
Gosh it got quiet in here. Did everyone run off to Zantarni?
|
I'm not there! I mean, I still have my account, but still hate my avatar - I could never get it to change for me. I just don't have time to devote to another avatar site! I've already been neglecting Gaia in favor of this place. If I weren't superquesting here, perhaps I'd spend more time away! (I'm rather attached to the people and feel of this place too...)
The Passover Seder last night was absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed it and it taught me a lot. I'm definitely going to have to make that a repeat tradition for us. |
I'm here...and there too! :D
|
I'm just here - I don't think I have enough brain space for yet another avatar site. 8)

I used to have a really good friend who was Jewish and semi-practicing. Unfortunately we had a falling out and I never got the chance to go to temple or anything *sigh* someday. edit: i also try to celebrate Hannukkah each year. I have a menorah and decorations...and no I'm not jewish it just fascinates me. I'm acutally pagan (ecclectic wiccan to be exact ...if there's sucha thing) |
*hugs* I'm still here...sort of. I just favor Zantarni right now. But, I'll still be here too!
|
I still haven't joined Zantarni either, and not sure if/when I will.
Been trying to balance neo, gaia, here, and vzones. I haven't been on pogo in weeks, but I'm just on the free one, so that's ok. Yesterday Jade and I walked to the horse stables, went up and down 2 aisles and pet all the horses who came over to see us, and then went to a nearby park. I should have driven, because although it's not far, walking is so much harder and more painful now, and my feet and ankles felt like they were carrying 1000 pounds! Good thing Jason reminded me I have a foot spa! That was perfect when I got back! Today we're just resting at home because we both have sore throats and coughs. Tomorrow we hope to go swimming with Jenni and Ella if we feel better! |
swimming!?! sweet!
actually it's around 70 here today (i think) we're going to work on getting our pool up next weekend. We have to replace the liner so it's gonna be tough, but if we can get enough people to help us it should go okay. I've not been online much all weekend. had a bit of a bender over the weekend. After one long day of solid rest I'm feeling fabulous now tho. now if only I could motivate myself away from the puter ^_^ |
Vzones? Pogo?? What are these??? Maybe I'll try again to get my Zantarni avatar to look good too.
Jaz - it was actually a Messianic Seder, rather than a strict Jewish one. So added to the Exodus story, there were all the parallels of the Messiah. I think it's pretty much the same thing, though, other than that. It was really cool hearing all the Hebrew words and seeing the symbolism of the different things on the Seder plate. Like the parsley dipped in the salt water to represent the salty tears of the slaves. The horseradish, or bitter herbs, representing the bitterness. The apple-nut mixture representing the mortar, the different cups of wine (I had grape juice - I think wine's yucky!) representing different things. I'd recommend experiencing one of those to any one! It was really neat! My husband's family is actually Jewish, so it's neat hearing about their traditions. I just wish I had been able to go to his cousin's wedding this past summer because it was a full Jewish wedding and the pictures looked so cool! |
Well, it's not that warm here yet, and I hope it won't be for some time, it would be torture to run laps under the heat. I can just see myself melting ... x.x
|
Last Monday it was 80 degrees here...today... *looks out the window* Yeah, it's snowing. Minnesota is craziness, but I love it. lol

VZones is an online animated chat program that I pay about $10 per month for. Some tokens are earned from just being logged in, but more is earned from winning prizes at slots, bingo, and other games you play with a room full of people, and then sell the prizes to whoever will pay for them. www.geocities.com/mskabuki is my vzones site that has links to screenshots of my turfs (homes) that I decorated. |

I wanted originally to add some jewish traditions to my wedding last year, but was eventually talked out of them. I almost had a Chuppah and we almost had kevin stomp on the glass at the end, but since I'm mexican (and most of my family and Kevin's are catholic) it prolly wouldn't have gone over so well. So we opted for mexican catholic traditions instead. oh! and the person that married us was my best friend Jayson who got ordained specifically for us. |
Like what? I always love hearing about people's traditions. My best friend's Mexican and I was one of her bridesmaids. The only thing I remember, besides it being a Catholic wedding, which I'm not accustomed to, was maybe something about coins? Or some kind of beads? I think they were coins, come to think of it. It was maybe 5 years ago, so I don't remember completely.
And then in the reception, she had a mariachi band. They were incredible! It was so funny because I was out there dancing with everyone else to the music...the lone, silly white girl. Man, that was THE most fun wedding I've been to (besides my own - I was queen for the day! :D) |
