Yeah fawN, maybe I will catch you on there one time. I hope I get to see more pictures of her later. She is so pretty. And hopefully she will get to go home sooner rather than later. Babies are a lot stronger than most people give them credit for. So with the help of your prayers, she will go home with you soon.

*hugs fawN* you get some rest so you can take care of your beautiful family :)

fawN, good to see you popping in here and there! :D Hopefully Amber can come home soon. She is so, so precious.
Prom - I didn't go to mine. I had to work and, at the time, pay 50% of the bills because my mom was so unskilled when my dad left she could only get a minimum wage job. It was so hard because my friends didn't understand why I couldn't just have fun and party. Well, it taught me alot, so I only slightly regret not having a normal teenagehood (is that a word? lol).
ASL - I have always wanted to learn. We did have to learn the alphabet in 4th grade, so I remember some of that. But, 4th grade was a looong time ago, so I've forgotten most of it.
I am putting all my gold in the bank right now...until I save enough for my panties. I'm over half way there already! It would be great if they fixed the interest...hopefully soon.

@ [email protected] Yeah, well, uber congrats to FawN, that's just an adorable baby. ^^ I hope she turns out O.K. (Since she was prematurely born)
^^
ASL is fun, except for there are random tests sometimes, and like, it's just kind of D:

FawN, great to see you popping in here! I hope the little one will be released sooner than later, but it's good that everything's going so well.
Yeah, I'll get back active in the GPG when I get more into Gaia again. I just go through my active and slow times there. :)

1lb Ground Beef
Canned veggie of choice (we use creamed corn+whole kernel corn, so two cans)
cream of whatever soup (I prefer chicken, but most people use mushroom)
1 pkg of Tater Tots
In a rectangular glass casserole dish (11 x 7 I think). Put the raw hamburger in the bottom and flatten it as much as possible usually about a half inch thick I'd say. Mix your veggies and the soup together and put that on top of the beef. Then place the tater tots on top of that so the flat ends are top and bottom and they are in rows. Extras can just be tossed on top. Then you just bake it for 1 1/2 hours at 325-350...the tots just get more crunchy at 350.
It is super easy to make and surprisingly tasty, and I personally think it tastes even beter reheated. Oh, yeah, 'hotdish' is definitely a Minnesota term. lol There's even a wiki article on it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotdish It even has a picture of Tater Tot Hotsdish! Although, I prefer my tots to be more lined up than the pictured one. :P

1 can tuna (I prefer the albacore)
1 can cream of whatever soup (again, I prefer chicken)
1 box of noodles (any kind works, I like to use bow-tie, shells, or macaroni)
1 veggie (we use canned peas)
All you do is boil your noodles and when they are done, everything gets mixed together in a casserole dish. Yummy! My mom also adds shredded cheese to her recipe, but I prefer it without.

Yay, fawNie :D so nice of you to pop in and see us, even if it's only a flying visit 8)
we don't have Proms over here, never have had.
though i think some schools may do them now, maybe after demand from the students who've seen them on programs like Smallville.
Can't say i'm sad about mising out on having one, being somewhat of anugly duckling at school i can't see it would have been much fun for me.

I was so sick of proms by the time I graduated. I went to 6 proms and all of them felt just so forced. The ones that I went to, everyone was seemingly faking a good time. I don't know. I guess the only one that I really tried to have a good time is the last one I went to. It was the one of my then girlfriend and I liked it the most because it was at this hotel out here in the harbor and you could see the moon light shine down over the ocean at night. Other than that, I really did not enjoy myself that much.

Hehe Jaz, I was about to mention the Gaia Recipes thread too. ;) I figure we can't search through this whole thread for things like that, so good thing we have that there!
Quick edit: Amber IS in an incubator, contrary to what my mom says. The open-air bed she was in before the incubator is a more critical infant bed with a lamp over it that's more accessible for the doctors and nurses to reach the baby. She was moved from the more critical bed into the incubator on Saturday night, the same night she was moved out of the isolation room.
They have upped her feedings and she's keeping it all down. She's such a sleepy girl though and often doesn't wake enough to take her milk from a bottle, so the rest of it often goes through her feeding tube in her nose. She has gained back the weight she lost soon after birth and is now 2 pounds 13 ounces.
Jason and Jade are here with me now through Sunday evening, and we've had a busy day, so I have even less time this evening to catch up online!

Proms - I only went to my junior prom since I had been dating a guy for quite a while. Almost went to my senior one, but my date fell through last minute. I came to find out later, one of my best guy friends' date fell through last minute too - we could have gone together and it would have been fun! Oh well! I think I ended up going out of town that weekend instead.
FawN - sounds like Amber's doing well! I'm so glad! :)
Changed my hair to match my dress, but I don't know if I'll keep it this dark red. I've been a golden-blonde for so long, this feels weird!

oh whoops! i forgot to check the join requests too  i haven't spent a great deal of time online at all this week, been in bed before midnight some days, which is a miracle for me, as those of you who've been chatting to me at 4AM my time can testify to! Welcome to being Purkle though SV 8)
fawN great news about Amber! i suppose she sleeps so much because she still has a lot of developing to do, she's coming along so well though!
Aliena that hair looks nice on you! i still love the fact that you can change your look so easily on here 8)
there's a 'suprise' in the wings, i'd LOVE to know that that's going to be! Lilithia mentioned it to Mike in her thread last week, my ears pricked up straight away!
i have a whole 6 days off now! i'm going to be busy sowing seeds so i can grow my own salad leaves this year, and some herbs too hopefully, i wonder if i dare eat the chilis that are growing on my little plant? they're awfully hot!

Surprise in the wings? Ack! What a teaser! What'd they say it was about? Or did they? I love surprises, but I'm a present-shaker. I always itch to know things before they happen!

Oh, I don't handle surprises very well. I am someone who needs to know. Part of what makes me good at my job I guess. And believe you me, that last person you want to surprise is someone who has access to a gun. A whole party found that out two birthdays ago.

 i don't think it's THAT sort of suprise.
all that was mentioned was this, someone commented on the pixelists maybe making new clothing items i think, and Lili said weren't they currently busy working on a 'suprise'...so...we shall have to wait and see!
Mene and Gaia are so quiet right now! i'm trying to think of a subject for a new thread, but there's no-one around to respond to it anyway :( maybe i'll just sit here and talk to myself instead.. 8)
i've just eaten a mini pizza and it attacked me, you know how they do, first bite, as your teeth break through the cheese a spurt of molten sauce shoots up and burns the roof of your mouth  luckily it was only a little bit, and it doesn't feel like a blister has formed, though i shall find out later if i eat anything with salt in it!

Heh heh - sounds exciting to me, though I can't bite onto any new items until after I finish acquiring my rares!
I need to get post happy here on Mene. There are a bunch of topics that I could respond to and then I just get lazy and don't. I'm about to get off, though, because my little one's up and running around. We're waiting for the fridge guy to come this morning. Oh please let our broken fridge saga end today! *crosses fingers* I just needed to get online to get an address.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see the difference in our electric bill for this past month, not having had one. But then again, we've probably spent just as much on getting ice every day or so! I'm just grateful for our neighbors and their deep freeze!

That reminded me of a story my husband told me about some folks he knew back home who lived out of an ice chest every day for about two years, spent so much on ice they could have paid for a reasonably priced refridgerater
