Josh could be in college taking finals as well. I don't get the impression that he is that young but yea... I read that that other person was something ridiculous like 15 or 16.
Another one of those where are the parents in all this. I'd kill my kid if I found out they did something like that.

I really do understand how Jess feels.
I have been trying with them for over 8 months. When I did once get in touch with someone attempting to state some sort of reason they kept saying something different. I got the impression the mod was not even 100% sure what was going on. All I know is for almost 2 year I sent $20.00 to $25.00 a month and then they can arbitrarily ban me and keep me from playing with my pixels or getting the advantage of my 'investment'

well i can tell you that Keith is not 16 or 15 he is in fact 18 he was 16 when he started the site. and that whole hacking in getting peoples pass words came about because of an item called the longcat
he diesided to give it away in a massive giveaway and some people got really angry and hacked the site.
in the end he deleted the item i think.

Im more upset about the amount of RL cash that people have put into my account than anything. I mean its just pixels yes, but those are MY hard earned pixels. And it really burns me that they dont have a better system there, and that they have to just unfairly ban people with no notice at all.

That's interesting....and a bit scary actually! I wonder which site it was that had compromised accounts.

Love the new pants!
Yay! Mothers Day is this weekend! It'll be my second one. Had to remind the husband, though. Just give him a little nudge. ;)
Has anyone seen SV around much? I know I've been slightly sporadic with my posting here - I'll jump in and post something and then take off - so sometimes I miss people. But there are a few people I've noticed I've not really seen much lately and he's one of them.

I'm so irritated by the whole mess and I sincerely hope that Jess gets her account back along with all of the other innocent people.
@luckycharm: Yay on the pants! Now that they have released the pirate items I have even more stuff to quest for.
@Aliena: I have seen him log in but I have not seen him post lately. Maybe send him a pm and see how he is doing. Hope things are ok with him.
@Bippy: Hey stranger! *hugs* How is the beautiful Lumpy? Yes, more fawN news would be good :)

funny you should ask ... fawN sent me texts over the weekend:
Quote:
Got relapse of mastitis only worse this
time. Aching all over shaking chills fever tenderness both sides and
sharp shooting pains. Meds dont seem 2 be helping & its been 3 days.
Yeah bedrest, fever, achy, infection again only worse this time. Not
improving last 3 days."
|
and an email today:
Quote:
Amber graduated out of her incubator yesterday and into an open-air
plastic bassinette, which means she's been keeping her body temp
pretty well, only today it looks like she's dropping .1 degrees every
time her temp is taken, and if it goes down more than .2 more they're
sticking her back in an incubator. :( And it feels like forever before
she'll be able to take all 8 feedings by bottle when they're only
letting her have one bottle during the day and one at night, and she
gets tube feedings the rest of the time, and she's still not finishing
a whole bottle, so they won't increase the times she can try yet. She
needs to conquer both of those before she can come home, and I got so
frustrated today because a nurse said don't even bother bringing her
car seat up to be checked (another thing we gotta do before she goes
home) for at least 2 weeks because she won't be ready, and she didn't
think they'd let her go home until she's about 5 pounds. She's not
quite 3 1/2 pounds now, and she's been gaining about an ounce a day or
less, which means if they're honestly going to keep her until she's
about 5 pounds, that will be more than 3 more weeks! I was hoping
this would be the last week I'd have to say goodbye to Jason and Jade
and stay down here without them. Often premies are let home about 2
weeks before their due date, which would be this coming week, but that
seems so unlikely after today. :( I feel like I'll be here forever,
although I know it can't be forever.
As for my mastitis, I feel a lot better today and haven't started
aching all over yet today, and was able to take pictures and camcord
at Jade's party this morning. My milk supply has dropped by more than
half though and keeps dropping, and I want to ask if that's normal for
having mastitis or if there's anything I can do about it, but the
lactation consultants weren't there today.

Thanks for the update on fawN and Amber. That is such wonderful news that she is out of the incubator! :) I hope fawN gets better soon too.

Blah - I think one of my faculty are mad at me right now - we have a new voice mail system at work and he wanted me to record his message for him.
I told him that I really don't want to be his voice mail - (I hate being on the phone and I hate the sound of my voice) - and he got all upset looking and left.
I told the other secretary that he's mad at me and when I brought him his copies she was in his office recording his voice mail for him. I don't understand why he can't record his own message - he had a friggin PhD I'm sure he can figure out simple step by step instructions.
He's such a nice person but I get so frustrated with him because he can't seem to do anything for himself. The other secretary like needy people - I don't - I get aggravated with needy people, especially educated adults.
I feel like I should go in and apolagize, but I also don't think I did anything really wrong - I simply said I really don't want to be your voice mail message. I don't think recording a voice mail message for department faculty is part of my job - he asked me a favor and I declined because it makes me uncomfortable.
I actually have anxiety about answering phones - no idea why - I even got yelled at with another one of my jobs for not taking enough turns answering phones (but I had a mini panic attach every time I answered - I'm getting better at it tho . . . )
Anyway - sorry to bombard you all with this - i just need to get it out and couldn't think of a better place than with you all. :?

Aw sia that sucks. I don't like needy people either and you would think that someone who has spent all that time in school could record their own message. Probably still has 12:00 blinking on the VCR, lol!
I don't think that you should have to do something that you are not comfortable with. He might understand that if you talk to him or you could just let it blow over.
I hate being on the phone as well, which was part of the reason why I loved my previous job (before they sent it to India). I was only on the phone if I needed something from the customer which was rare. We could communicate through email which was so much better. Now I'm on the phone all the time :(

I hate that. I have one of the attorneys here that can't pick up the phone and call clients back himself. We have to place the call for him. We also have one of the other attorneys that just can't have his voice on his voicemail. How hard is that. I mean if I place a call, I certainly don't want to hear the secretary's voice. I so know what you mean Si.

plenty to catch up on here!
Jurupamae - Don't forget Josh is English like me, if he's doing exams in May he's either 16 and finishing his last year in school. All Brits finish school at 16, unless they decide to stay on for 2 years as 6th formers and do A levels.
So he might be 18 and doing that, but he calls it 'school' so he's definitely 18 or less. He complains because he's messing around on Mene instead of revising 8)
Lucky - Those pirate pants are cute! perfect for a barefoot summer look too.
fawN - keep at it! all in all you and Amber are doing great! I know another 3 weeks in hospital sounds horrible when it's ahead of you, but it honestly wont be long before you're both at home :D
Bippy!! - We want more Lumpy news! When do we get to find out his name!
Si - sounds like he's as uncomfortable about recording voice messages as you are, but being male, he wont be able to admit that
Jaz - what did you do for your anniversary in the end??
and Jess..any news from Gaia?

Not yet but Im hopeful. There is a list on some one's Gaia journal (over 3000 names) of people that were temporarily banned to protect their accounts, my name is about halfway down the list. Im sure its going to take awhile and if I was only banned because Gaia wanted to protect me, then Im actually rather relieved. At least I now know for sure that I did nothing wrong so Im going to try and stay optimistic. I've filled out the proper forms so now all I guess I can do is wait. And Im NEVER going back to Subeta ever again!!

Ok, I have a question and can't seem to get an answer on it.
I ordered a new Dell which has been shipped as of yesterday. I should have it by Thursday, Friday at the latest *crosses fingers*.
I had to get Windows Vista. Has anyone here had any experience with this new system yet? I'm very nervous that things are not going to go well for a while and would like some input on it. Anything would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I haven't heard much at all about Vista - some people like it, others said there isn't much of a difference, and other hate it. The one complaint I have heard is about the new office menus - it's some kind of floating ribbon where the options word thinks you want to use are made available.
