I feel the same way when I'm out walking by myself Jaz! You aren't alone! I went and bought myself some new tennis shoes today! I'm trying to give myself some motivation to get out there and do any kind of physical activity! I really am tired of being overweight....and more tired of sitting all day long. I sit at my job....and then I come home and sit. I only get physical activity on the weekends....when I actually decide to go to the park for a nice long walk. I really need to get over being so self-concious....

mine has the same things jelly

maybe try uninstalling it and reinstalling it Rue? I'll refind the link for you if you need it

and *huggles* it's so nice to know that I'm not alone in how i feel.

and lol @ Kat about the bike .. i kinda feel like that too

altho this summer we're gonna try and get some roller skates (blades for the hubby) and maybe go skating in parks and stuff. I went roller skating a couple months back with some friends and had the best time! i loved it. I started out really self conscious but 2 of my friends with me are also plus sized women so we all just concentrated on enjoying each other's company and ignoring everything else.

edit: whoa! my auto formatter did a crazy thing and only purkled a couple letters. fixed it

jellysundae 05-10-2007 12:24 AM

Jaz rollerskating would be fabulous for you!
Especially if you get retro style rollerboots with quad wheels as they're so secure to skate on.
My ex used to play street hockey on quads when he was younger, and you should have seen his thighs! really nice, well formed muscles. He could leg-press 210lb at the gym, and he's only 5"5
Go for it with the akating, it's something i'd love to do! plus because it's such fun it wont be a drag like normal exercise would :D

magikjaz 05-10-2007 12:31 AM

that's exactly what I was thinking. that it wouldn't be so much like working out if i enjoyed it.

lemme tell you tho, roller skating is NOT like riding a bike. I thought every minute that I was gonna fall on my butt. Luckily the place we went had a kind of "practice area' where i refreshed myself on how to skate and turn lol

roocee 05-10-2007 01:39 AM

Jaz that would be much appreciated. I'm going to need a link when I get my new computer....whenever it gets here that is. I can wait til then to figure it all out.

Aliena 05-10-2007 02:14 PM

Good morning, guys! This'll be short since I just heard my little girl stirring in the monitor and I need to go get her up!

My husband has a second interview with the job he interviewed for last Friday! Surely, that's a good sign if, less than a week later, they're contacting him for a second. We're keeping our fingers crossed. We don't know how many other candidates for the job there are.

And I wanted to share a sneak peek of the cg I've been working on for Yume!

http://i2.tinypic.com/67fjps6.jpg

I'm off to get the baby up, make her breakfast, and then begin my search for gourmet coffee (for joint Mothers/Fathers Day presents for our parents). Hope you guys have a great day!

Oh yeah - did ya'll do the feather quest over on Gaia? The hats are cute! I need to do it with my mules sometime today.

luckycharm 05-10-2007 03:16 PM

Rollerskating does sound like fun!!! I haven't done that since highschool.....and I always loved it! I don't know about the whole rollerblading thing.....that might be something to work up to as I'm not so steady trying to balance on those....

siaasgn 05-10-2007 03:22 PM

ohh. . Gourmet coffee is nice -

I don't know how fast you want it - but I like to buy my fancy coffee from:

www.coffeeam.com

I really like the organic Galapagos coffee, the kona is good as well.

roocee 05-10-2007 05:28 PM

Well Jess just informed me my new computer has arrived. *does the happy dance*

So now I just need to get it all hooked up and download yahoo, etc again.

Aliena 05-10-2007 05:33 PM

Sia - I went to a local coffee shop here in town and got a pound for each of our parents - 4 different flavors by the quarter-pound. I think they're going to love it! Now I just need to take care of the special mugs...

magikjaz 05-10-2007 06:50 PM

@ aliena - the CG looks fabulous! so excited to see the final product! also good luck for your hubby. and yes I did the feather quest. my avi is proudly wearing her new hat over there.

@ rue - YAY for the new puter!!! the gaiabar is here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/796 <--gaiabar

and in searching for it i saw what you did ... you downloaded the tektek gaiabar instead of the one we were using.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/838 <--tektek gaiabar

@siaasgn - that site looks awesome! and they sell tazo tea which i love!

@ lucky - yea i'm not one for rollerblading but the skating i can handle.

And happy mexican mother's day to everyone.

we're celebrating sunday like everyone else here in the states. mom just wants us to come over and grill and watch movies with her.

roocee 05-10-2007 07:20 PM

Thanks Jaz....I didn't realize there were two different ones.

i didn't either until iwas searching thru the add-ons

jellysundae 05-10-2007 11:46 PM

i didn't realise there were 2 either! lucky i got the right one then..
i tried to do the feather quest with a mule earlier and couldn't get to it, maybe it's finished already? the hat is cute, though very similar to the Orly hat. i don't mind only having the one though.

roocee 05-11-2007 12:04 AM

I did the quest on my main but that's it. It seemed to take forever with only getting medium sized feathers.

jellysundae 05-11-2007 12:07 AM

it's not working at the moment, despite Gaia saying it is, i got loads of large feathers, i think i have 4 in my inventory still, they can hang around in there with the orange easter eggs that i can't do anything with!

Mama Juru 05-11-2007 12:26 AM

Afternoon everyone!

I love rollerskating. My daughter and I used to go all the time and for whatever reason we stopped. I'll have to get back in to it.

I did the feather quest really late last night/early this morning. It seemed to take forever. The hat is cute but I'll probably end up sticking it in my SDB forever. I thought about opening up a shop but I don't know anyone who would be interested in the piles of bugs and trash I have. :(

roocee 05-11-2007 01:17 PM

Well I got my new PC all hooked up and up and running. So far, Vista hasn't been bad at all. Of course I haven't tried to install anything yet except Mozilla, Yahoo, AOL (which has an upgrade for Vista). What I am amazed about the most is my monitor. It's the same size as the one I had (19 inch) but since it's a flat panel, everything is huge!!!

siaasgn 05-11-2007 01:47 PM

I love flat panel monitors - they save so much desk space!!

Hopefully Vista works out for you- new computers are always exciting - of course - there are the hours of updates and getting everything set up the way you like it again - but a fresh start is nice.

roocee 05-11-2007 02:29 PM

Man it certainly did take quite some time to do updates and setup. Even the start menu is different. I haven't found the control panel yet but did find where my drive space is. I really didn't play to much. I just mainly was going to different sites I frequent to see if I can still get there. Neo looks better now. I don't have to scroll over anymore to see the right side of the screen.

jellysundae 05-11-2007 04:16 PM

Glad you've got it all set up Roo :)

Flat panel monitors take some getting used to i found! I had to turn the brightness right down on mine, and it took me a while to find the right angle to tilt it to so the screen didn't look odd.
But i love it now, and Si yes! the amount of space they free up is great! i have a whole pile of junk now where there used to be all monitor
I wouldn't mind a little doodad to stand it on really, something small with cubby-holes in it so i could tuck the junk away, save me having lose game discs and notepads and the tv remote and so on lying all over the place..

finding things on mine took some doing too, as it was a different version of windows, being awkward i changed everything back to classic view once i found my way to the display file in the control panel, i don't like how XP looks!

i wouldn't be suprised if i'm not the next Purkle to be buying a new PC, the extended warranty on this one ran out over a year ago..so i'm suprised that it hasn't blown up way before now..you know these things are pre-programmed to die the nanosecond the warranty ends..
