Thanks Jaz, I like my new hair.

I'm not very good a bowling but I do have my own ball. I'm talking I can't get 100 pins knocked down but like has been mentioned above, if it's not competative, it's alot of fun. I'm left handed but bowl right handed so it sort of messes me up with me leg being in the way.

amersemt 05-17-2007 09:09 PM

Rue, that hair does look nice with your outfit!

Hey, guess what! I'm left handed too! lol And, I have the same problem as you do with bowling...and a ton of other stuff. Some things I can handle doing right handed, but some I just can't figure it out. But, I'm really an uber cruddy bowler with either hand, so I don't think it matters much.

I found some time to play decender today...well, hopefully! I'm going to do that now. *hugs purkles*

roocee 05-17-2007 11:07 PM

Well I'm completely bad with my left hand. It just doesn't feel right to me to bowl left handed so I muttle through it with my right hand.

Yep, I live in Virginia, around 4-5 hours from Richmond. I'm from a very small town in the southwest called Big Stone Gap... It's basically the boonies, but after the movie is made, maybe we'll be famous.

Good morning everyone

siaasgn 05-18-2007 02:15 PM

Good morning everyone - Happy Friday!! 8)

jellysundae 05-18-2007 07:32 PM

ooh Si..Twostar has responded to your comment about Cafepress in the merchandise thread, if you have anything else to add please do!

I'd really hate for any items that they decided to sell to turn out to be bad quality, this site really needs anything that it sells to make a decent profit!

siaasgn 05-18-2007 07:50 PM

yeah - I saw that - I'm not sure of other merchandising places - but I know the shirt i got form cafepress before was a crappy iron on and got all cracked when I washed it.

I think there are nicer options at cafepress- and if they plan on getting test merchandise I guess they can decide for themselves.

jellysundae 05-18-2007 07:55 PM

Their prices aren't especially cheap though, so for Mene to make a profit they'd have to charge quite a bit for the items!

I wish i had some sort of business background so i could do more than offer good common sense on this subject http://i9.tinypic.com/63mfali.gif The developers and Josh will be what they want anyway i think, regardless of what anyone else says.

Mama Juru 05-18-2007 08:23 PM

Good afternoon everyone!

I've had that experience as well Si with buying shirts from there and getting something that I could have made myself in about 30 minutes or less.

There are a number of good tshirt designers that are probably relatively cheap (I could probably search our customer database and find a few but then I'd get fired, lol) and if there is enough interest, the initial investment will not be much compared to the potential profit. Since paypal is already established as a means for credit card payments, a store front with a shopping card (like cafe press or homestead) probably wouldn't be hard to set up as well.

jellysundae 05-18-2007 08:26 PM

I feel that Josh and the developers really need some advice from someone who knows that they're talking about here http://i9.tinypic.com/63mfali.gif They seem determined to go with Cafepress. but maybe they'll go for mugs and posters and so on instead a t-shirts, there's nothing worse than poor quality t-shirts :x

siaasgn 05-18-2007 08:29 PM

Yeah - I basically don't have enough knowledge in this area to give an recommendations - but I do know that cafepress is kind of shoddy work sometimes and I don't know how good of a profit can be made with them.

GigglyBipper 05-19-2007 12:40 AM

The cafepress is iron on decals for shirts?! I can go to the store and buy some to run through my printer and iron on myself! (that is, if my printer worked...)

Jee, it's not that hard to make a decent silkscreened shirt. Tell them to find a decent silkscreening company. Start with a set quantity, and when they are all sold, use another design and do the same, maybe a larger number of shirts. The more colors, the more extensive the setup for the item, the more it will cost, so maybe start with something simple... a line drawing, perhaps, or maybe only two colors. They should be able to reorder a design if they tell them ahead of time that they will want more. (or not if it is a limited run) Not sure how the copyright/trademark stuff works, but hopefully they already have their information about that. They could sell them here, or on eBay, or both.

Hmm... think I will go price shirts for hubby's band. They could use more swag.

Aliena 05-19-2007 01:50 AM

Hey guys! My husband was offerred the job he interviewed for 2 weeks ago! Eee! I asked him if he was going to take it and he said, "Heck yeah!" So on Monday, it looks like he'll make it official. Which means...looks like we're moving in a few months! I'm so excited, but nervous - never had to sell a house before! I think I'm about to get VERY busy getting this place in shape.

roocee 05-19-2007 02:44 AM

Congrats to hubby Aliena.

Madeline Sparrow 05-19-2007 08:26 AM

That is great news Aliena! Congratulations!

It is kind of like a fresh start. Moving to a new house, new career, etc. I bet you are super excited. The only that sucks is moving but you are not moving too far it doesn't sound like so it should be a relative breeze :)
