My real job is our family business. My grandparents put it together well before I was born, and since I was sixteen (I'm twenty-two now) I've been working off and on there. For the past two years though, it's been steady now that I moved out from home. I'm on salary and whatnot.

So on the days I work there, I take my nephew with me. With it being family, we're trying to work it all around everyone's schedules 'till he starts Kindergarten this September. Then I'll be back in college, he'll be in school, and I'll only have him from 2:30pm-5:30pm. xD

cuz the pay is poor (their reason is because I'm not yet a licensed architect, and that I'm their child XD), my dad, teh boss is a GOOD MAN... some times (and MOST of the time he's a jerk.), and my team consists of 3 people including me, doing projects that were meant to be done by a 5-man team. =_=" and did i mention we work on about at least 3 projects AT A TIME? and that when my dad gives a project, and i ask him when's the deadline, he automagically transforms LITERALLY into an asshole and tells me he needs it NOW. (imagine what it would be like to talk to an asshole.... now puke. XD) should i say more? XD

but all that will train me to be a monster architect. someone who can do a supposed to be 1 month project in a week's time XD ALONE. XD muhahaha *slaps dad on head* the jerk. XD

oh, and today I've had my early morning "YOU-DOD-THIS-WRONG-YOU-IDIOT" talk with him XD so he went YOU-DID-THIS-WRONG-YOU-IDIOT on me, and i went like, I-KNOW-ASSHAT on him XD kidding.. XD ahahahaha

We deal with shipping a particular shellfish to buyers on the west coast of the US (it's not a huge business or anything), but the algae can kill people if consumed. x.<;

well, he didn't really say it like that, he said it sort of indirectly.. like he always does. that's why i have NEVER done my best at this work of mine. If teh boss was more of teh kinder kind XD i could have become teh best. I need to find someone who can train me properly, cuz i know im good, i juz need a good teacher. And all my dad does is tell me to do things myself. That's all ok with me, as i want the challenge, but im also the type of person who lives on being praised for my good work. But my dad has NEVER EVER praised my work, not once. All he has been doing was look at the small details and bash me for it. I hate him for that part of him being a dad. He IS a good dad, but when it comes to me and how i work, he sucks.

How could expect great work out of you if he never praises you. He should be praising and encouraging you, knowing what a big influence on you he is.

When I train new people at work, I try and be very patient and let them know it's okay if you mess up as long as you admit to your mistake and try harder next time.

I know if I didn't get even an occasional "thank you" or "good work" my morale would drop through the floor. :[

that's exactly the problem with him. His pride or ego or whatever tis called has gone sky high and he thinks all his underlings are inferior. I'm gonna leave this place and work for a good boss. One that isn't bald and evil. (I'm semi-bald but I'm a goop derson XD)

And he hates seeing me draw. Anime stuff and anything else that he thinks doesn't make serious money. I kick his ass for that. grr... God gave me this gift for me to use and share, all he wants is to nuke my art skillz XD so im here and training my hands at this, and one day, Im gonna use this to make GOOD MONEY, then make him eat his words and tell him: LOOK DAD, THIS MONEY IS USELESS STUFF CUZ IT CAME FROM MY ART SKILLZ YOU HATED SO MUCH.
