Yeah I can see what you mean. Some of their songs can be very mellow and depressing sounding. But a few of them, after years of listening have a hidden uplifting sound to them.

It took me a long time to truely appreciate them.

I actually went to a really good high school but I had the misfortune of having 2 incredibly awful teachers during my time there.

My 9th grade math teacher who was a great mathematician and one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Completely condescending and played favorites all the time....and I wasn't on his list. I mean, one time I was getting something out of my backpack and I put a stack of papers and a book I'd been reading on the empty desk next to me so that I could look in the bottom and he tried to write me up and send me to the office for 'having a book out during class'. I don't usually use internet abbreviations like lol but this deserves a wholehearted WTF expression D:
