- I actually have an extra room that I could put an eliptical in.. I'd just need to move a TV into that room too. I'm afraid of lugging it around when I move though. D:
Plus they're soooo expensive and I'd be afraid to buy a used one because I wouldn't know what is wrong with it, if anything. It doesn't hurt to look and see what I see though. *nod*

If you can find a used one in your area, that you can try out before you buy you should be fine.
No end of people get rid of them, because they do what I do, buy fitness equipment with the best of intentions, use it twice then it just sits gathering dust.
Getting one that is second hand is the most sensible option really.
I bought my strider and rowing machine from a friend at work, £50/$100 for the pair of them, absolute bargain!

Wow sounds like you did get a pretty good deal! Are they in good shape?

They're both in good shape yes, the strider especially. Most people sell off exercise equipment because it sits there silently taunting them..

hey you guys!
still lacking in the computer department, but i have a chance to pop in so here i be!
I have slacked BIG time the last month-- lots of end-of-summer BBQ's and parties.... lots of movie/snack nights with friends who were moving away for school ect ect... pretty basically I gained some poundage.
BUT thats all about to change. The month of september is all about getting back into prime form!
I'm calling it "operation get-super-hot"
I'm wanting to drop 15 lbs and then to top it all off i'm gonna get sexy hair extensions and be a major bombshell over the winter months! haha.
So what I'm gonna do is work out at the gym twice a week for about an hour each, doing cardio and a little bit of strength training on my arms, and then twice a week i'll go for an hour long walk.\I'm cutting out pizza and junk food, cutting out beer (gonna stick to Vodka mixed with diet soda from now on for when i party) and im gonna try to drink a butt-load of water.
vitamis will be taken.... and i'm gonna try really hard to eat 3 meals a day ( i usually only have like 2..... im terrible with food timelines!) ANYWAYS..... yes. thats the plan, and hopefully i can get going with it again.... because i'm starting to feel fat and sassy!!!!!

lol..fat and sassy.. that just made me giggle for some reason.
I was brave and got the tape measure out today, boobs and hips are down to below 40 inches now. Not by must mind, hips by half and inc, and boobs by a quarter. My waist is just over 30 inches now, it went up to 33 at one point T_T
My bum is actually verging on looking ok by my standards, in my jeans. Before it looked like the back of a bus.
When i weighed myself at the weekend the scales actually said i was less than 140lb for a little while, then they changed their minds and went back up to 141 again T_T
Horrible things *kicks them*

You can do it girlie!!
I WAS doing good. I felt sooooo good all july, and now I just feel ICKY!
I wish i wasn't super broke.... so i could actually BUY some groceries.
I have been doing take-out a lot because our fridge broke at home and so.... yeah we haven't really been able to have food in the house.
BUT we got a new fridge today... it has a built in water filter/ice dispenser..... oh happy day!! hahaha.
I was bad this morning and I had a BLT bagel meal from McDonalds today.... it was soo good though.
gonna dance it off tomorrow night at the club though haha

- Ya I totally fell off the bandwagon there for a bit.
I've been eating horribly lately... it's all the barbeques and parties that come with summer I think.
Anyway, I started weightwatchers on Monday so I'm keeping track of my points. I think this will work pretty well because I eat healthy food most of the time.. I just eat too much of it. So this should help me with portion control... I hope. D:
I've got to be diligent though. I have a bad habit of starting my diets and then getting out of the groove of actually keeping up with them *crys*
I wish being a healthy weight weren't so difficult...

dang!!!!!!!
I can't wait to buy/eat fresh veggies!
I'm sooo sick of canned soup and take-out food!!!!

Man so I did so well this week and then I fucked it all up this weekend. I ended up drinking a bit on Friday, which made me want taco bell at 3 am. Boo!
Then I ate pizza and I had chinese carry out today. OMG what was I thinking! D:
Oh well. Fresh start on Monday I suppose.

Just an update:
I got a scale on the 18th of September and I weighed 125 lbs. (10 pounds less) which I lost from cutting out meat altogether and pretty much all dairy and adding more raw fruits and veggies. Then on the 19th I started the master cleanse and today was my last day (day 10) and I lost about 10 pounds from that too. So, I'm down to 115 and I feel really good. I plan to eat 100% raw foods for at least a month then at least stay 90% raw vegan.
I really pushed myself these last ten days as far as self control goes. I showed myself that I can say no to food when I'm not even hungry. I'm really proud of myself and I plan to make my health a priority as it should be.
I know you all are trying your best and I just have my tip. Eat as many raw fruits and veggies as you can and try to minimize your cooked food. Doing that may not make you feel better at first because it will detoxify you, but it's so good for the long run. And think about what you're putting into your body. A hamburger or chips just isn't worth it when you really look at it.
You all can make it! I'm rooting for you! <33333333333

I've always wanted to do a cleanse.... I'll have to look deeper into that!
I'm so bad for allowing myself to have junk haha.
Anyways, we FINALLY got our fridge... but get this.... it was the wrong one so we have to send the damn thing back! it doesn't fit into our kitchen.... it's in the living room
ACK.
ALSO great news: my computer is still broken (not great news) but my cute man-candy is lending me an extra one he has from his studio until I can buy a kick ass new compy.
what a wonderful boy!
So I hope to get that up and running this week.... i just have to clean the hell out of my room/desk area haha!
But i'll be full-time back to mene soon!
I CAN'T WAIT TO CATCH UP!!!!
*cries at her incredibly small inventory/gold count*
most of all though I'm just excited to dive back in and hang out with you guys!

- Wow that's great suki!! I've been trying to eat more vegetarian.. its hard though because my boyfriend refuses to switch to full out vegetarian. I've almost completely cut red meat from my diet though.. other than the occational burger or whatever it's all chicken and fish and maybe lean pork.
Ok here's my update. I thought I did terrible last week (I started weight watchers..... again >>) But it turns out I didn't do horrible. I lost 4.5 lbs the first week! Woot it feels awesome. I changed my weigh in day from monday afternoon to Wednesday night. I go right after my tae kwon do class so that might have been why I lost so much (I had lost all my water weight during my workout).
Anyway.. I've done pretty well this week (I think). I'll let you guys know my progress after my weigh-in on Wed. night! ^^
Sars ~ Aww wtf.. I hate it when that kind of stuff gets mixed up. I hope you have the correct refridgerator sometime soon. That's awsome that your cutie man is loaning you a computer! Sounds like you guys are hitting it off really well! XDD
I can't wait to see you back here full time! <33

Well done Eroy!
I've gained a bit this week, but that's hopefully pre-menstrual bloat so it should come off again as the week progresses.
How are you enjoying the tae kwon do? And what made you decide to do that in the first place? There are so many different disciplines out there, I can't imagine how anyone chooses
I'm intending to rearrange my living room furniture tonight/tomorrow, and hopefully once that is done I will actually hook up my DVD player and get my yoga and pilates dvds out. I've had that player for months, since last year in fact and it's just sat in the box
Sars your McCutes sounds like an angel, you should make a medal for him
Various cleanses appeal to me too. I wish there was a pleasant way to have colonic irrigation, because I really like the idea of being able to clean it all out and start afresh, I've always eaten a pretty healthy diet fibre-wise and so on, so I don't think I'd have years worth of impacted red meat or some of the other horrible stuff that you hear about, but people do say that you end up permanently lighter after one of those, even after your system's back to normal and your digestive tract is full again.
Plus can you imagine how much lighter you'd be right after you'd finished the treatment and it was all washed away!
But it's still not something I could ever see myself submitting too ._.

- Thanks Jelly! <3
Well I got into TKD (tae know do) because my dad was an instructor for a long time.. so I learned under him when I was younger. He quit teaching eventually so when I could drive I started taking lessons from HIS teacher. I had to quit when I went away for college.. but now that I'm back in town I decided to pick it back up.
I'd like to learn some other disiplines though. I picked up a book at the bookstore the other day called "A Guide for Women in Martial Arts" or something to that effect. I guess it talks about all the different styles of martial arts and its benefits and drawbacks for women. I'm going to give it a read through and see if I can't find another displine I'd like to study as well.
I really like martial arts because I feel like I'm not only exercising but learning a valuable skill. I think self defense is important for all women to learn.
Lol! I have a yoga mat and video that I've had for years and haven't even bothered taking them out of the box! I really should.. I could use the flexibilty... D:

Ok here's my update! I went to weigh-in last night and I've lost a total of 5.5lbs in two weeks! Yay!
OMG I was there at the meeting and there was a woman there that has lost 100lbs! @[email protected] I was amazed! I hope I can make it to my goal before I decide to give up... I've got a long way to go though.
I've decided when I get under 200lbs I'm going to buy a new outfit xD
Just 11 lbs to go ^^

Got my dvd player working now ^.^
No excuse not to at least PLAY my yoga and pilates discs now then have I?
I have to say though, I do find doing the half hour pilates one that I have extremely relaxing, it's just great for focussing my mind and helping me unwind towards sleep at the end of a long day.
