It's A unless the net word begins with a vowel (A,E,I,O,U) then it's an as a rule :P

hehe well the basic rule is two vowls don't go together so no a apple. So you add an N to make it an Apple but for almost all words beginning with a constanant you just have A. There are a few esceptions like an N. But the same goes for most rules of the English Language. Like 'I before E except after C' doesn't work for Keith.
