My day has been going better... I found out I might not need to get another TB test for work, which is so yay! Because I hate needles... so anything that gets me out of being stuck with a needle is yay. And it also looks like I've patched things up with my friend that I was fighting with, which is also yay<3 So today is going good so far.

A new album? That is kind of exciting, especially if you like their music. I've never really gotten into it, but I bet you're quite happy.

Yeah I'm very into them to say the least... it's been over four years now since their last XD. They've done other little things in the meanwhile (including a "side project" and mini-tour), but fans have been waiting a long time for this XD.

Four years? That's a long time to go without something new... no wonder you and all the other fans are so excited. This is the first I've heard of it, actually, but I don't keep tabs on the music industry either. Maybe I should. I take it you're planning on buying it as soon as it's in stores?

Yeah I hope so XD. I love collecting CDs... and vinyl when I can xP although as yet I only have two, one of which is a single... although they're a band who still puts out some vinyl stuff, it's just released on the lead singer's label rather than Reprise...

Yeah it is a long time XD. They're just in time for another election xP. But I don't get the feeling this album will be quite as... controversial.

So, you like vinyl too? I honestly didn't know that bands still put out records on vinyl nowadays. My parents have some really cool old records of like the Beatles and the Beach Boys and just a bunch of random old bands that are a lot of fun. We still listen to them sometimes. They even got a new record player because the old one broke and they wanted to still listen to them <3

Aw that's cool ^^. My dad has literally hundreds of vinyl records... many CDs although they're scattered everywhere, and a ton of stuff that he's downloaded online XD. It's not hard to see where I get my love for the stuff.

I've been liking the cardboard cases that CDs have been coming in lately... some of them don't even have any plastic at all.

And that Green Day side project I mentioned - it's called the Foxboro Hot Tubs, and they had a really cool 60s garage-style vibe with it. And they carried that out when they printed it. They made a vinyl version of the record of course, as well as a CD, but the packaging of the CD was great. It was in a cardboard sleeve, and then a paper sleeve, just like a vinyl record, and the CD looked like a faded LP. It said "Side A" and it said "Warning: Do not use Side B" XD. The entire presentation was very interesting. I mean there were a lot of pieces that were independently impressive and then they were put all together and it was like - whoa! that's cool!

Lol... don't use side B... XD That is great! My husband bought some CD-Rs once that were black and even had little ridges on the top to make them look like vinyl records. He loves those things...

Yeah, I've seen those! I would get them, but... I don't think it's worth the price XD. But it would be a good thing if you were going to make back-up copies of your vinyls...

I want my own record player, though. My dad has one, in the stereo downstairs but I've never used it and I don't want to mess anything up xP.

Yeah, those CD-Rs are quite expensive... He bought them before we got married, I wouldn't let him get away with that now, though. We just don't have the money.

If I remember right, it's hard to find record players and that they are expensive... I think they might sell them at Circuit City or something... I really can't remember now. >.<

And yeah, @Morwyn: I know they're expensive ^^ but if I had the money for it it would be a worthwhile investment for me since I would try to collect records x3. But right now I don't see that as being a need... it's a bit of a way off.
