Not good.
My hard drive is crashing, so I'm rushing to get the stuff I want to save transferred over to an external hard drive :sweat: |

Today I backed things up to my external hard drive. Took a long time. :P |
Well, I've got pretty much everything that I want to save transferred over already. I'm just going through my desktop to see if there's anything else that I want to save. After I do that, I can take my time replacing the dying hard drive with the new one that I went out and got today. I'm pretty excited about the hard drive that I just got because it's MUCH bigger than the one that's in my desktop now. :squee: I guess this new hard drive could be considered a birthday present to myself, so I splurged. :lol:

Sorry for the delayed replies all. My comp started running REALLY slow (probably because of the dying hard drive... :stare: )
@secrets: Yeah, I have a 250 GB hard drive in my comp, and I'm going to replace it with the 1 TB hard drive that I bought today. :boogie: But I'm going to wait to replace it until probably really late tonight / early in the morning, because I'm going to have to reinstall Windows on the new hard drive... :XP My b-day was three days ago, on the 12th :yes: @Kale: Kale!! :glomp: :hug: :heart: How're you tonight? |
@Dimitri; Aww. Poor dying hard drive, but soon the comp will be all nice once you replace it. WOW! Big hard drive. Good luck and have fun replacing it and installing Windows. :D

@secrets: Yeah, it'll be running better (and hopefully faster) once I install the new hard drive. But it'd run even better if I upgraded the RAM and video card. Upgrading the RAM is no big deal. I just have to get new sticks and plug them in (I actually should have gotten new sticks of RAM while I was out getting the hard drive, but it slipped my mind... :sweat: ). But upgrading the video card will be a pain in the ass because the video card that I have now is integrated into the motherboard. So that'll be a tedious process...

@secrets: RAM is pretty much the only exception to the rule. I've seen sticks of RAM as cheap as about five bucks per stick (depending on the size of RAM).
